What if the mod dont have any XML files i want mod cars to spawn like normal cars but they dont and when i found one of them they dont have any Parts :( can you help me?

I am having an issue dragging and dropping the mod folder into Win SCP. It keeps saying the file or folder does not exist. It was hidden at first but is now sitting directly in my Dayz folder like the video.
@13:20 when your talking about having those files pop up in the winscp that should be the same in the other files, what if its not? do you just leave it be?
I dont have a key folder in my dayz folder the keys are in mods but not the dayz folder. Edit: Nevermind I missed a step I wasnt in the standalone folder.

Im glad you found it useful! You need to add the mod to the nitrado website (so @ModName). Apart from that then it will depend on which mod it is. Most of them that don't come with xml files won't need anything else doing.
@@hepskie I honestly don't know lol, this is my first time using PC mods on my own server. I've read the CF mod is mainly for admins. So I'm guessing I should download community tools as well with it?
@@FearTheUnnKnown you won't notice any difference if you install CF unless you use with with another mod like COT. If you follow the installation instructions on the steam workshop page for COT then you should be fine with it. It has lots of handy tools in-game.
Clearly you didn't follow it step by step in that case. Everyone else that has had this problem made a mistake somewhere along the line. Go back through it step by step slowly and carefully. start by installing one mod, not several and make sure that works. Make sure the mod you're installing isn't dependent on another mod. Most mods need either CF or DabZ Framework to work. If you're confident you've done it right then the only thing to do is contact nitrado support.

The most likely thing is you haven't done the keys correctly...but without more info I can't really help much further. Go through the steps again slowly and watch carefully. If you do it all as the video shows then it will work, just like it has for all these other people.
Alright I really have no idea what I'm doing wrong. The only thing that seems to have changed is that Steam saves things by their mod ID number now but I followed these instructions to a T and I still can't get my server to run with the mods I want. It's just stuck in the booting up phase.

You can do all at once if you know what you're doing...but to start with I usually recommend one at a time. That way you can see which mods are the trouble-makers.

This mod depends on another mod called CF (community framework) to work so make sure you have that installed as well. It doesn't have any XML files that need editing so it doesn't have a folder.

when copying the keys over do you need to do the add onn's also when useing a different mod? if any one can help me pleaseeee did everything he did with the exact mod he used its not croupt i just cant get it to appear as if my server has any mods its brand-new just the land rover for example
You will need a framework mod for that to work. If you look on the steam page for the mod you will see it requires @CF to work. For the keys you need to put in each one for each different mod. If it's the same key as a previous mod you have already installed then there's no need.
That depends on if winter cherno had a different map file in mpmissions. If your server is still using the chernarusplus map then yes it should be fine.

You can use it on any map as long as you get your own coordinates. You can grab them from izurvive map or use something like Community Online Tools to get the coordinates in-game. But yet, the coordinates in the xml for that mod won't work on other maps.
So I went through this video section by section and did exactly as shown/said for each mod, started with a few basic ones to learn... I have every thing exactly as shown, but the server will not recognize anything at all. Mods even show in game files on Nitrado, but when I find my server in the launcher just shows no mods.
I'm having a issues of find the workshop file. I have all the files besides that one. I'm also having issue with finding where the mobs are stored. I've followed everything you said to do but I'm not seeing any mods saved to my pc
07:06 This is all you need to do to find the workshop file. If your steam folders are in another location or on another hard drive then that's where they will be. When you go to install a game from steam it let's you select where you install it. Wherever you installed DayZ will be where your !Workshop folder is.
Ive followed every step exactly how you've done it and when I load up DayZ it tells me it cant find my server. If I delete the mods from the folder then the game can find my server but I've tried multiple variants of simple mods and the server just won't show up. The mods I've been using don't even have XML files so I'm not sure what the issue is.. any suggestions?
Have you uploaded the keys from each mod to the keys folder in your server? Have you added the mods to the mod list with a semi colon (;) to separate them?

If you have discord it would be easier to speak on there. The most likely problem is that you haven't added the types to the xml file. Is the items that area disappearing from a mod?
@@GufyZ if it is a vanilla server then it should all be fine. Have you changed any of the xml files? If not then it should all be working fine. Which items specifically disappear? Barrels?
@@hepskie if I touched some files, I added some objects that were locked, but nothing else, what disappears are the wooden boxes and all kinds of constructions
@@GufyZ its difficult to know whats wrong if I don't know what you changed. Search the types.xml for the wooden box and make sure its there and check it's values.
I have not been adding all of my new mods to the end of the additional mods section, just adding them between any of them really. Does the order of the mods inside of that space matter?
Depends on the mod. Most don't matter. Traders you want to load after everything else so you can include mod items in them...same with admin tools like 'Community online tools'.
Is this for a pc server or for a games console? Not sure if games consoles get that option. If it is a pc server then it should be there. Message support.
Depends on the mod. Some mods dont need them. Some mods don't want others using them. Some mods want people to pay to use them. Some mods have them in the description of the mod on the workshop

When it comes to the launcher, it can take a long time to show up. Be sure you've got the filters correct etc. Which mods have you installed? If its more than one then try doing one at a time first.

I see it says if needed I am taking it if there is none you don't need it but if i go into the info file under drug plus mod it does have a types file so would i still do that step or is it only for xml files......ty
Hey man! Thanks for watching. It is possible to edit changes to the loot economy via xml files in the server with xbox servers but you cannot add new mods...so new guns and vehicles aren't really an option (that I know of). @@hepskie Yes I have followed the steps as shown: Steamapps > Common > Dayz > !Workshop. Then the next folder is shown as: !Do_not_change_files_in_these_folders so I proceed to go further and this folder is empty. All hidden folders are showing also.
Is there a particular way you have to paste the .xml files in? Me and my friend tried to do as you showed in the video but the text we pasted wasn’t alligned exactly the same as the .xml files already in there...
As long as the text is there and it is on a new line then it shouldn't need to be the same spacing. Find me on discord if it doesn't work and I'll attempt to help. Link in the description.
For nitrado servers the profiles folder is the one named 'config'. For home servers its whatever you set it to in the .bat server configuration file...think the default is Profiles or similar.
There are two lots of info on the nitrado website for connecting to servers. Make sure you use the info from the FTP section and not the other one. If it still says access denied then make a ticket with nitrado and they will change your password for the server to allow you to connect.

Either you haven't added the keys correctly, the mod has been updated since you updated it, the name in nitrado was spelt wrong or you didn't add a ; in the correct place are the most likely answers. Which pbo error?
@@hepskie The message says: You were kicked of the game. Data verification error: Client is missing a mod which is on the server. The server sets the modlist. Pleace join through the launcher and select: "SETUP DLCS AND MODS AND JOIN" to load the mods the server uses. (dbo_slots) (Missing PBO. (@dbo_slots\addons\dbo_slots.pbo)). Which is pretty wierd. I have all the mods, they`re refreshed, game files validated before the upload to the server. i followed your instructions on point. Name is correct in Nitrado with the ; . And i always double check when i upload and transfer files that they actually get transferred.
@@hardis0140 so it says client is missing the mod. So that means your dayz game isn't loading the data that the server has. Make sure you do as this error message has said and use the auto mod setup function that the dayz launcher provides.

If I enable serverDZ.cfg File do I still have to write the mods in that line on nitrado web interface?
If you need to add the mod to the nitrado web interface you will have access to it. If you don't need to add it then the text box won't be available.

If you have discord it would be easier to speak on there. The most likely problem is that you haven't added the types to the xml file. Is the items that area disappearing from a mod?

@@GufyZ if it is a vanilla server then it should all be fine. Have you changed any of the xml files? If not then it should all be working fine. Which items specifically disappear? Barrels?

if I touched some files, I added some objects that were locked, but nothing else, what disappears are the wooden boxes and all kinds of constructions
@@GufyZ its difficult to know whats wrong if I don't know what you changed.
Search the types.xml for the wooden box and make sure its there and check it's values.
I have not been adding all of my new mods to the end of the additional mods section, just adding them between any of them really. Does the order of the mods inside of that space matter?
Depends on the mod. Most don't matter. Traders you want to load after everything else so you can include mod items in them...same with admin tools like 'Community online tools'.

Is this for a pc server or for a games console? Not sure if games consoles get that option.

Depends on the mod. Some mods dont need them. Some mods don't want others using them. Some mods want people to pay to use them. Some mods have them in the description of the mod on the workshop

You can just move from your own computers !Workshop folder for filezilla

@@matt_sellers most mods yes. Some need a little extra, like expansionmod or some admin mods

When it comes to the launcher, it can take a long time to show up. Be sure you've got the filters correct etc.
Which mods have you installed?
If its more than one then try doing one at a time first.
Also...an obvious one but it catches people out. Make sure you restart the server!

What happens if there is no xml files in the mods files i am trying to install @DRUGPlus mod?
I see it says if needed I am taking it if there is none you don't need it but if i go into the info file under drug plus mod it does have a types file so would i still do that step or is it only for xml files......ty

It is possible to edit changes to the loot economy via xml files in the server with xbox servers but you cannot add new mods...so new guns and vehicles aren't really an option (that I know of). ScalespeedGaming has a video on this explaining exactly what is possible. Here's the link:

Only one key is needed. If you already have it then no need to do anything with it.

I am really struggling to locate the Mod folders even though I have subscribed to the mods from Steam workshop - Any advice would be much appreciated.
Do you mean the !Workshop folder?
@@hepskie Yes I have followed the steps as shown: Steamapps > Common > Dayz > !Workshop. Then the next folder is shown as: !Do_not_change_files_in_these_folders so I proceed to go further and this folder is empty. All hidden folders are showing also.
This is with me already downloading the mods from the Steam client. Any help would be massively appreciated.
@@mattylahd6285 start the dayz launcher and see if any mod folders appear. They start with an @.

Is there a particular way you have to paste the .xml files in? Me and my friend tried to do as you showed in the video but the text we pasted wasn’t alligned exactly the same as the .xml files already in there...
As long as the text is there and it is on a new line then it shouldn't need to be the same spacing. Find me on discord if it doesn't work and I'll attempt to help. Link in the description.

Which mods are you trying to install? Not all have XML folders.
alot of mods talk about adding files to "profiles" folders, do you have any explanation on what to do on that?
For nitrado servers the profiles folder is the one named 'config'.
For home servers its whatever you set it to in the .bat server configuration file...think the default is Profiles or similar.
When I try to connect it to my server it just says access denied
There are two lots of info on the nitrado website for connecting to servers. Make sure you use the info from the FTP section and not the other one.
If it still says access denied then make a ticket with nitrado and they will change your password for the server to allow you to connect.

Either you haven't added the keys correctly, the mod has been updated since you updated it, the name in nitrado was spelt wrong or you didn't add a ; in the correct place are the most likely answers.

Which is pretty wierd. I have all the mods, they`re refreshed, game files validated before the upload to the server. i followed your instructions on point. Name is correct in Nitrado with the ; . And i always double check when i upload and transfer files that they actually get transferred.
@@hardis0140 so it says client is missing the mod. So that means your dayz game isn't loading the data that the server has. Make sure you do as this error message has said and use the auto mod setup function that the dayz launcher provides.
@@hepskie Yes i have opend the original Dayz launcher. I can see the launcher is installing and updating the mods on my pc, but the issue remains.

Try doing those steps again and make sure you press apply.
The workshop folder might not appear if you haven't downloaded any mods yet too.

Which mod is it? Some creators sell the keys to get income. Check the steam workshop page for details.
