I have 10kg "not any cubic" standard resin 😉 for around 400CAD. I got some 20kg of siraya tech abs like resin for same price too, but obviously twice the quantity. Bulk printing electronic cases for my product atm.
The one thing I'm thinking after watching this is that your test may have been skewed away from the standard resin. Because that resin is black, the UV light wouldn't penetrate very far when you cure it while the lighter color ABS like resin is a lighter color so the curing light would get further into the model. I'm not sure how much of a difference this would make, but if you do resin tests again, having both types in a light color might be a better comparison. When you do your tension tests, it looks like they all fail where they were clamped into the vise. Modeling a loop into each end would allow you to eliminate them breaking at the stress point where they were clamped. A flex test where you apply a side load till it breaks would also have been a nice addition and fairly easy to set up. (drill a hole in a 2X4 and insert your rod into it then pull sideways on the top till it breaks)
Great video, just subscribed!!! It's very hard to find an actual comparison of real world scenarios and not just hearsay and people reading from the bottles. With that said, I was wondering if you would ever consider doing another one of these videos mixing in Siraya Tenacious? Ive heard some pretty killer things about this practice but the pricepoint scares me
We need a test of "abs like resin vs abs filament"
Thanks a lot! Considering buying some ABS-like resin right now, and I appreciate the preview of what I should expect from it!
Never knew you could print even guitar picks, crazy!
Great video, now I know what to use for miniatures.
Thanks a lot for this test !
I’m glad you found it helpful!

hello I use Anycubic Tough and have never used ABS-LiKE Anycubic. Can anyone tell me what the difference between them ? They look very similar.
Thanks a lot for the info!
ABS reacts with acetone, will the abs-like resin react to acetone?
No. They call it “ABS-like” in terms of toughness and heat resistance. Great question!
Just curious, any difference in smell between the two? Any difference in printer settings?
Nope and nope. Similar smell and I didn’t change my settings from the standard resin settings.
The ABS like does smell much much more
Thanks man =) have you tried elegoo abs like resin or SIraya Tech?
No, I hear the Siraya Tenacious resin is really strong, but I haven’t had a chance to test it
Thank you, realy good Video!
What slicer do you use for voxelab
Chitubox and Lychee both work well with Voxelab
ty this was helpful

And less cured resin would be more fragile or more elastic?
Great video.... thanks!
I work in science, and I think your tests are well done. Nice video
Thanks a lot!
good work man , You helped me a lot
On such a small part, you shouldn't need to chisel it out from the build plate. I recommend backing off on the exposure time of your first layers.
thanks for the video. quick question, do you find the ABS like resin smell to be more offensive than the standard resin?
I couldn’t really detect a difference between the two.
@@SouthpawWorkshop thanks for the prompt response!

Great suggestion. I'm currently filming a test with water washable resin. I may check out the Siraya Tech stuff in the future.
Does the box for the ABS like resin say "Life is like a box of chocolates. . . "
The covered brand is AnyCubic
That bottle is very similar to my Anycubic Standard Resin
, why cover the name..?
I'm 99% sure it is Anycubic.
Lol, you can see the Anycubic logo in another shot directly after he shows it covered
i cant tell if it was just the angle on camera but did the abs-like have better looking pock marks?
It is possible, but I can’t guarantee I post-processed both prints identically, so it may not be a fair comparison
great vid, thanks.
That’s anycubic resin he’s putting it up against. Good resin. Maybe better than what I usually use.
awesome i think my standard resin is to brittle.. so next bottle will be a ABS like.
ngl its really weird watching someone use a hammer to tap the prints off the plate when its very easy to scoop em right off.
Buena comparación.
Gracias!
Wow,it's interesting.😆
grreT video, i like
….. flesh tone?
Oh, your damn charm, why can you play the guitar so great
Lol. All four notes you heard!
Thanks for your real world testing, but using a pick on a bass... 😭
