  • I've used these palettes for over 10 years and really like the compact design and terrific mixing areas. They are very flexible in the way you can set them up with space for a brush or pencil, or for more colours with a couple of little 'hacks'.
I use the Half-pan model for my travel sketching palette and the Whole-pan model for my Gouache palette.
I've written about it in my blog janeblundellar... and in the Palettes section of my website (under the Resources tab).

What impressive durability! I wish such deep wells were more common among watercolour palettes!

They work very well! It makes the palette thicker than some, but it's worth it as you can create fabulous mixes for large skies etc.

I have this palette and I love it for the lightweight aspect and the
    Mixing wells.

❤ your channel. I add a drop of money to my wash when I fill my paints stirred in. This keeps it from cracking, but also keeps it from molding. Honey is a natures antifungal and anti-microbial. P.s. oh my gosh the auto dictation does not work very well. Sorry for all the edits 😊

I am cautious of honey as I've had bugs enjoy watercolour washes with honey, but I know it works well for many. I use glycine for the same purpose, if setting up palettes in some brands.

I just cut up an old credit card and glued into place to fill the whole thumb area. Easier cutting a rectangle than an oval! Then stuck in the pans with blue tack like you do.

To fit the potential 32 half pans in do you need to sand the pan or do they simply drop in? I know you DID sand the palette after gluing the hole but I’m speaking specifically about the pans themselves. Thank you in advance for your answer. This was really good, I truly enjoy seeing people’s palette setups! ClaudiaSJI

No need to sand the pans at all. they fit in neatly. And you may choose to add a little blu-tac to hold them in place.

I kept looking at the stickers and thinking- why does she have a Jane Blundell sticker on them haha- then I looked down at the channel name 😅🙃
