    Most tube paints will separate from the binder to some degree, some more/faster than others. If you notice a tube paint separates from the binder quickly, it is usually an indicator that the pigments in the paint are denser/heavier. For example, granulating watercolors will separate faster than non-granulating colors, because the pigment is heavier to allow for the granulating effect. It has nothing to do with the quality of the paint. You can just squeeze out the excess binder on a paper towel and your paint will be good as new! That being said, it might be annoying to use colors like that if you refill your palette frequently. But as long as you remove the excess binder before filling your pan and give your pan a good mix, that separation won't have any effect on the end result of your paint. Sorry for the ramble lol, I just wanted to let you know!

      also helps to use a toothpick to swirl the paint around inside the tube, before squeezing the paint out, it usually helps for some ☺

      Personally, i would just reccommend mixing the binder back in! Just getting rid of the separated binder could make the paint dry out faster in the tube. :)

    You know I clicked on this immediately 😁 I was going to mention the situation with the binder, but tharzanne's comment covered it! It's annoying to have to stir them up, but they're still usable :) I'm looking forward to seeing this palette in action!

    The Arteza gouache imo is actually really good as watercolor (better than the watercolor)

    I love palette building videos soo much! This was lots of fun and it was super cool seeing your colour choices! You're a brave soul for opening all those tubes over and over again, I definitely would not have been able to handle it

    What a beautiful palet you ended up with!!! Gorgeous colours!!! So, why do you have to wait until the paints dry? Don't they have to be wet? ( I'm VERY new to art so this is probably common knowledge that I'm not aware of yet..lol).

    • @Lilstarnerd
      @Lilstarnerd  7 месяцев назад

      they CAN be wet, which is why the come in a tube!! but i specifically wanted to make a pan palette, and those are dried little pans of watercolors that you can rewet!

    I started to make a mixing chart with 14 colors of my A.Gallo watercolors and realised that I had to fill 196 squares💀🫠
