Thank you so very much for your generous super thanks tip!! I don’t get those very often and it means so much to me when I do. Sending you a big hug of gratitude! ❤️🙌🙏😘🥰
Linda, I have some idea of how you feel. I am also an artist and I have stage 4 chronic Kidney disease. I can relate to not feeling like doing a lot, and I think if you can push yourself as an artist to produce something every day, then so can I! I think you are very brave ! Putting yourself on the internet when you do not feel great is scary! With the fatigue, strong Tea and Coffee TREMENDOSLY helps!
Thanks so much for sharing about yourself and your journey. I really appreciate your acknowledging how difficult it is to film with intense fatigue. 📚🖍️💕
I’m so happy I found you. I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis 27 years ago. My fatigue can knock me down. I am learning to draw and watercolor. This is like my medicine and therapy. Multiple Sclerosis is life changing and every year and day it can change in an instant. So sending big hugs your way
I’m really happy that you found your way here too! There are quite a few people with MS in this community. I love that you said your art is your therapy!! There is so much scientific evidence to back up its value on the mind and body. 🖍️📚💜
New subscriber here. Thank you for acknowledging the creative fatigue so many of us suffer from. I had a professor in art school who said showing up in your studio each day-even if you just spend time looking at/studying your work- & in time the block & fatigue will diminish. And by engaging in your art even in the smallest way is what’s important. Just keep painting, even if the work is disappointing, paint over it…just keep painting.
Welcome to the channel! So happy to have you here. Yes! Just keep showing up for yourself, just keep making marks. Your professor sounds like a very wise person. 🖍️📚
Wow! Just reading the comments here. I didn’t realize there were so many others in similar boats. Sending out so much love and virtual hugs to you all. 💕 We are not alone. 💕
Sometimes I feel you are describing me. I have Rheumatoid Athritis in my legs and arms. Every day is painful. Brain fog is my second name. I won't give in. I am making some mini journals full of flower and bird paintings and lots of collage fodder etc. It brings me so much joy to look at them after I sew them together. Just lots of A4 pages folded and put together just for me. Hope your fatigue goes soon. We can only live in hope.❤
Mixed Media. Such a relatable topic. I have my coffee table covered with art supplies and its drawers are also filled. I’ve surrounded myself with my supplies where I mainly rest on the couch so it takes the least amount of effort for me to be able to grab something and be creative in some way. Just playing with the colors is so calming for me.
The green shapes almost look like fish swimming in the Ocean! Very pretty! What a surprise! You never know what you are going to create by just playing!
I just found this video and I can relate I have M.E so in bed most of the day and art is the only thing that makes me happy. So often I have to choose between showering or painting but painting lifts my mood 😊 every day is a compromise between what I can do and what I want to do.
Thank you so much for watching and sharing a bit about yourself. I want to assure you that so many people comment on this channel about choosing art over showering on bad days. I definitely do that too, showering takes an enormous amount of energy and sitting down painting, intuitively or abstractly in a sketchbook, definitely takes less energy. Just know that you are not alone in this community. 💕🙏🖍️📚🎨
Oh geez, do you hit home sometimes. It’s easier to say what body parts don’t hurt right now. Forced myself to go down to the art studio. Definitely can not search or move things around so I’m going to work on making palettes. Little swatching and who knows what can happen. Unfortunately, I haven’t left any gas in the tank to shower. I did it again…I realized last time waiting til late afternoon causes issues. I’ll take a break at dinner to hopefully get a little umf. Don’t have to wash hair , so I’ll just fall in bed afterwards. My energy and nerve to muscles get worse as the day progresses. I seriously need correct meds for what causes this! Tired of not going out…want to, but the pain is too extreme. My art time is the only enjoyment I get. Thank goodness my husband of 35 years has hobbies too, so we work in the basement together. Again, thanks for not making feel alone in this.
My heart definitely goes out to you with gobs of empathy! Washing your hair is seriously overrated lol. I can’t tell you how many days I’m too tired to shower because I needed to make some kind of art. we definitely need to prioritize to keep our creative souls fulfilled.
@@BeginnersMind-ArtMindI just now discovered your YT channel! God knew I needed this! I am facing down becoming bed ridden due to a progressive disease. Like a deer in headlights this has paralyzed my forward motion for 2 years! Now I realize I am not alone in this challenge to keep on keepin' on while I can! TY. ❤
I have a video on my channel that was inspired by Frida Kahlo‘s diary, you might find that inspiring. The book really shows how powerful her creative drive was and how she kept creating, even when she was bedridden. Those of us with health challenges really do have to work harder to take care of ourselves, but it’s even more important that we do and I believe creativity is a huge part of that. Bravo to you for desire to figure out how to “keep on keeping on”. 💜📚🖍️🧑🏼🎨🎨
I am in the very same situation. Chronic illness, pardon me, Sucks. If I can’t even have the energy or the will to reach 2 feet to the left of my chair n create something… this may sound silly but i do so love to “pet” my art supplies. Sounds weird but basically what i mean is i grab my bag of pens or pencils or markers (whichever is on top n look’s nicest to me at the moment n look at my stuff. Rearrange the bag. Maybe swatch a lil (compulsive swatcher here 🤚 …. And yes, to think of it I very often do it on my hand. I have no idea why walking around for the next day, or 2, 3, whatever… makes me smile. Especially when someone says What’s on your hand?! 😁). Anyways, long story short, I’m in the same boat and I understand how hard it is to do sometime you truly love and want to do. All the time. (Oh and about the shower thing… witch hazel and a baby wipe or a washcloth works wonders for a 2 minute “de-ick” but when I can manage a shower chair shower I decide: wash hair, body or both? Takes the pressure off and WAY less draining. Then I often find a way to do the “other” somewhat soon after. If not, I let water run on me and that is an accomplishment enough. 😁)
Hi Lissa, thanks for watching and sharing. Swatching and going through your art supplies is definitely beneficial to the nervous system! I can’t tell you how many comments I get on how draining it is to shower, and yes, sponge baths come up a lot in the comments here lol. We all have so much in common and showering truly is so very exhausting. It’s so much easier to sit in the chair, or laying in bed and just make scribbles on a piece of paper then it is to take a shower. I think you’ll find that you are in good company here 💕📚🖍️
I'm almost speechless reading the comments - certainly a reflection of my life. I think you've created a community around you of people in like situations. It's a relief and it's validating and it's motivating and inspiring. Thank you! And thanks to all of you who comment and talk about your world.
Hi Karen, I can’t begin to tell you how happy I am that you felt a sense of community here. So many people with chronic illness and chronic pain feel unseen and unheard. I love that people feel that they can share their experience here. I also love hearing from people how much their creative practice helps ease, their pain and fatigue.
So totally understand you as well as all the commenters. Thanks so much for sharing both our art and painful journey through life. Gentle hugs going to all of you…..
Love the mystery woman. I love how you have addressed just what I deal with as an artist. I have depression, anxiety, fibromyalgia etc. You have encouraged me so much. I hope you have all good days ahead.😊
Thank you so much for sharing and letting me know that you enjoyed the video. So many people don’t realize how debilitating depression and anxiety can be. Here’s to many healthy happy days ahead for both of us. ❤️🙏
Watching your video now. Everything you said in the beginning so resonated with me. Suffering from fibromyalgia for 20+ years I found art during lockdown and it has saved my life. You are an inspiration. I can’t imagine how hard it is to show up, make videos, & put yourself out there. Thank you so much!!! May the community continue to be a blessing to you and others. Much love 🩷
Your perseverance always amazes me. You are the singular reason that I create so much more than ever before. I made so many excuses that pale in comparison to the reasons you could use to not create. For this, I owe you so much for changing my art process! Hugs to you, Don, and the pups!
I’m so glad I found you! I can relate to everything you are saying about chronic health issues and art and just showing up. I feel so understood and that means so much to me. Thank you 💕
Thanks so much for sharing that! I think we all feel that way when we find our community and people who can empathize with what we’re going through. Welcome to the community, you’re in good company here. 🙏💜🖍️📚
hi. i also have chronic fatigue along with chronic illnesses. but i have a dog and SHE keeps me accountable because she wants breakfast at 6AM so i make a gorgeous pot of tea just for me! love always my dear and great videos!
Mixed media ❤ Thanks so much for this video Linda! I've found myself lately suffering from depression etc and this was a great video to remind me that art is about healing and creating & not so much the finished product. I really struggle to get the motivation to create but I LOVE to create.
I’m so sorry that you’re struggling with depression Jodie. I know personally how brutal it can be and how it causes our minds to lie to us about how dark things really are. For me, the depression and anxiety are much harder to cope with the other symptoms of my illness. I find for me that when I’m struggling with motivation to create, it’s because my mind is telling me that I need to make “art“. Like you, I love to create, so I feel very blessed that I can happily sit down and just make an abstract mess and have it feel good. That’s my wish for everyone, that we can get over the thoughts that we “need to make pretty art“. Our nervous systems truly don’t know the difference between a pretty painting and an ugly painting, and the creative process is calming for the nervous system either way. Take good care, my friend, sending you a gentle hug. ❤️
Can absolutely relate Linda. I have the same experience. It's so amazing how you can start small and then just have that creativity flow over you. Glad you were able to pull yourself into your studio. 👏💗
@@BeginnersMind-ArtMind It's was a pleasure Linda.🤗 Thank you for sharing so open heartedly. I share some of the same challenges. Fatigue being one of them. Hope you enjoy your weekend ahead. 🎨💖
Mixed media can be so much fun and no wrong way to do it. What a surprise at the end- I thought she was shaping into a mermaid for a moment there but it's an example of why you should keep going if you feel ok and not give up. Super inspiring!
Thank you for this wonderful video...I lost my beautiful Sophie last week just after our birthday together. She was 17 years old--a good age for a cat--and I have been so depressed since then that I can barely move. She was with me since she was about one year old and I found her is a shelter. This on top of the pain and fatigue I usually feel has been overwhelming. Watching your videos always helps and I need to start something in my art nest--maybe some drawings of her will help. I could feel your energy building as you got more involved with your work and it made me feel a little less sad. Thank you again Linda and lots of love! ❤
Oh Lori, my heart breaks for you! I am so sorry for the loss of your beloved Sophie. I’m sure you’ve seen the videos where I lost my beloved Niko and I only had him for eight years. I can’t imagine the hole in your heart after having her in your life for 17 years. I hear you and understand about how grief can increase pain and fatigue. Take care of yourself and go easy on yourself as you travel your own personal grief journey. Sending you gentle hugs, and lots of love. ❤️🙏
My art is something i look forward to but if im hurting bad and have done extra that day, i have to rest. I like to have at least enough energy to be able to do art for at least an hour. Art can be so relaxing and a great distraction from our bodies. I have a few tough medical problems and are learning to listen to my body. So pleased you was able to make art with great revelations with using alternative mediums. It was fantastic to watch.😊 Jo.
Thanks, Jo, I’m so glad that you enjoyed the video. This type of video has been the most popular on my channel over the years. I think so many of us can relate to this topic. Thanks for watching and commenting! 🖍️📚💜
Thankyou for sharing. All my pain excuses go out the window 😅 Thanks for reminding me it is about turning up for oneself, and the allowing of with what is in the present moment ❣️ Love from France, and will join you again 🙏✨
Darling Girl……First I have to say that I hope that I am not the only one who has never thought to do this with pastels, charcoal and deli paper. It’s genius! About fatigue- me too. Shingles. Thank you for talking about this. You help me face it instead of just feeling sad. I have learned so much today. First time watching. Subscribed.
Welcome, so happy to have you as part of our community! I love that you called me “Darling Girl” 🥰 and I also love that you learned some new things. So SORRY about the shingles! I pray that you recover soon. 🙏💜
Thank you thank you thank you for making this video! I have a chronic illness and get serious brain fog often as well as crushing fatigue…new to your channel and I am Glad I found it :) I am afraid to create when I am tired because I “mess up” but maybe I have to push thru it and use that time to allow myself to be messy and free…thanks again
Welcome, I’m so glad you found my channel to have you as part of this community! When we use art as part of our coping process for our illnesses, science studies have shown that creating intuitive, messy, spontaneous art is more healing than creating more realism based art. It’s all about allowing the creative flow to move through us. Good for you for realizing that sometimes we do need to give ourselves a bit of a push to get going. 💜📚🖍️
I can rally relate to this. I have Fibromyalgia and also struggeling with fatigue. As you say, i need to do something little, every day, to just get going and get my brain calm. When i do my craft, my brain seems to get its way back to, atleast a bit, start to work. Keep going and we all are thankful for your art and the inspiration you give us.🙏🏻👏🏻❤️😄📘
I totally resonate with what you said here. Unfortunately, those of us with health issues have to push ourselves much harder to accomplish the things that we need to do for our wellness. I feel so strongly that being creative is one of the most important things we can do for ourselves. Thank you so much for sharing and being a part of this creative community. 📚🖍️💕😘
Trying to pack an art nest for a short trip away without the weight of all my bits plus paint and palettes....lightbulb moment when you used leftover gouache from paper.. perfect! Mixed media
Thanks so much for all your help and hard work 👍 ❤️ blessings from Ontario 🇨🇦 🙏 we all love you and care about you please take care of yourself ❤️❤️🙏😍👍🇨🇦
Mixed media! I enjoy every video you make. My husband and I have been dealing with a very painful and difficult situation this year and then in August my dog Romeo, love of my life, died unexpectedly. You inspire me to keep creating no matter what I'm going through.❤
Oh Katherine, that means so much to me thank you! I can’t begin to tell you how sorry I am at your loss of your beloved dog Romeo. I don’t know if you saw the video where I lost my beloved Niko last year, but my heart still aches for him every day. Sending you so much love for your grief journey. I’m so glad that you have a creative practice to help you move through this difficult time. 💜🙏
First time visitor & New Sub! What beautiful artwork. I love your quote “ how can you be disappointed when you don’t have a plan?”. How true. MIXED MEDIA! ❤
Love the technique! Mixed Media! Thanks for showing up. I totally enjoyed it. She is wonderful Linda! ❤😊 Love abstracts also. They are so freeing. Sending healing vibes your way.
She turned out lovely! I like to make art out of my under-papers, too! I find if I start making art when I'm tired, even if it's to add a few marks to the under- papers to turn them into collage fodder, often my energy starts to build. Stayed 'till the end: "Mixed Mexia."
Thanks so much for watching and sharing a bit about your process. I am the same exact way, if I can get myself started the creative process usually builds my energy and joy! 🎨🖌️💜
Mixed Media Came across you this morning for first time when my chronic illness happened to be particularly high and my motivation as a result particularly low, I never usually comment on the videos I watch but felt compelled to reach out and say THANK YOU and tell you how much you reassured me that I'm not alone and if i only do a little doodling today then that is enough and I am enough so thank you for making my day feel so much better xxx
Thank you so much for sharing that Dawn! Our nervous systems truly do not care whether what we make is pretty or not. All our nervous systems care about is the calming effects that come through the creative process, no matter what the final product looks like. That is a huge relief for those of us that love to create, but can’t always paint beautiful work when we’re fatigued or in pain. I’m so glad that you took the time and courage to share here. 🙏🖍️📚💜
@BeginnersMind-ArtMind my adult children are hoping to make our tiny bedroom into an art room for me and are encouraging me to film my process of doodling and they'll make a tiktok account, my anxiety about handling negative comments is making me very unsure, could I be cheeky and ask if you get any negative comments how you handle them? Xxx
@@dawngorrie6145 I have to say I highly advise against it given what you told me in your first comment. Keep your creative, practice, private and treasure it as your own personal healing space. The negative comments I get slay me sometimes they can be so unbelievably cruel. I can’t tell you how much it hurts.
@BeginnersMind-ArtMind thank you so much for your honesty and openness, that is what I suspected, I feel my art space, like you, is sometimes my only escape and I'd hate for that to be tainted, I will look into other options of just selling my doodles as really need to create a way to afford buying materials, thank you so much xxx
@@dawngorrie6145 I wish you good luck with whatever you decide to do! I think it’s always just going to be a labor of love for me. 😊
Linda and anyone interested...didn't see this vid a month ago 😕 but here are a few fun, low-energy busting and lower cost color supplies I've bought from Amazon this past year. I bought these mainly for kicks & for unstructured art and bc they looked like fun and also to maybe get my mojo going when I'm fatigued: Shuttle Art dual-tipped dot markers set of 18 water-based pigments. Effortless dots. Shuttle Art set of 24 GORGEOUS pastel tempera sticks...these dry almost instantaneously and DO NOT BLEND, but you can layer. I haven't tried a solvent of any type...that may help to blend. King Art set of 48 gel markers. Rich, creamy, very blendable & beautiful array of colors. These are similar to other gel markers out there, (except I still think Faber-Castell Gelatos are THE best) and the plastic housing of the colors looks exactly like the Recollections brand I bought years ago from Michael's.
Hi Nancy, You might enjoy going to my channel and having a look at some of my playlists and other videos. Since this channel is designed by, and for, people with chronic pain and chronic illness I have a lot of videos on low energy creating. I have very in-depth videos on the supplies you mentioned above as well. I reviewed both the Shuttle Art and King Art gel sticks. In those videos I discussed which ones are water soluble and which ones are not. I also have multiple videos where I demonstrate those items.
I’m really glad you liked it. A lot of my bedridden viewers have put together what I call an “Art Nest”. I have a few videos on different versions of my own Art Nests over time. 🖍️📚💕
I really like how this turned out. Was skeptical at first! HAH, but with faith and your skill, it turned out lovely. Such a great Tarot Card cover or postcard.
That’s the beauty of this kind of intuitive creating it truly does not matter how it looks in the end. Whether it ends up pretty or ends up not looking like much of anything, the process is still incredibly healing and calming for your nervous system. I really love this type of creating. 🖌️🎨📚
Mixed Media!!!!! As always super beautiful & creative video! I love how open you are with how you are feeling and infusing what you are experiencing into your art!! Always look forward to your videos Linda!!! You are a gem in my weekend!!
@@BeginnersMind-ArtMind thank you! So many of us suffer alone with a chronic illness or 2… and you completely validate all of us when you create and share! I haven’t had an ounce of bravery to do that on my channel… thank you for being you Linda!
@@BeginnersMind-ArtMind ohh I hear that so much when I watch other channels. Your tribe will always stick with you! We will always support each other! We artists are sensitive by nature and there is no need for anyone to place shame when they are sharing, teaching and being vulnerable with an audience. God will always have tender hearts like you rise to the top. Keep up the creativity, explore new mediums and play! - and might I say when you are completely improvising on camera with new techniques and new tools/mediums, I can see myself oooohing, and ahhhhing at the same time! Ha! You are in my prayers! Keep on going my friend!
I run a business and have ME/CFS. There are days the fatigue is so bad, all I can do is art. It is my savior! Thank you for showing up. I know what it takes on “those” days. But I have a question (I just found you and have not yet watched your other videos). What sketchbook are you working in? I heard you say Arteza or something?
Thank you so much for your empathy, understanding and supportive comment! It’s so nice to receive feedback like that. The sketchbook I was using in the video is an Arteza sketchbook. It comes in a set of two for around $25. A viewer purchased them for me off of my Amazon gift/wish list. They are inexpensive sketchbooks and the paper is not high-quality. The paper is very absorbent. I like them however because they are inexpensive and I don’t feel precious about using them. I mostly do experimental, primitive, playful work in this type of Sketchbook. There are others that I prefer for more refined work. I will post a link to the Arteza Sketchbooks here: amzn.to/3ZK1Lag
Linda i really look forward to your videos and you are an inspiration to us and there is this sense of calming that i find from you thats so amazing i find myself having difficulties in creating most of the time and you remind me of why we create and that we should continue everyday that we can 🍀⚘️🍀
It makes me so happy that my videos inspire you and resonate with you. I also love that you find them calming. It’s amazing how important the creative act is to those of us that are creative souls. 📚🖍️💜
I'm so glad I came across your channel. I'm gonna follow your advice about working on art even when fatigued or in to much pain. Now I only make art when making a video and not on the other days. I'm also so afraid to talk about my health in my videos since I just started out. But yeah brain fog is a very annoying thing. 🤣 I had to re-record the ending of my next video 4 times and I'm still not sure if I'm gonna keep it. I may still record yet a new one. 🤣 Oh Mixed Media. 😀
So glad you enjoyed it! Thank you for watching and commenting! Talking about your health in videos can be a bit tricky and scary. When I first started sharing about it, I got some really hurtful nasty comments. Because it is my passion is to share about the healing power of creativity when it comes to chronic illness, I made the choice to continue discussing it. 📚🖍️💕
I have found my group !! I made a few WC swatches today. I am not a painter but my work with other materials, like sawing wood and making plaster is beyond me, no longer enough good days. So I have been studying up on using WC after seeing the WC work of Rothko in the forties on Pinterest and then the late work of Turner has me obsessed. But this video really helped me get real and enjoy any marks I put down, because I do enjoy whatever simple thing I do. These color swatches are gorgeous. Making colors.. Thank you! Mixed media.. yes I will get to that! I like Pentalic sketchbooks. Ring binder. Lays real flat. 50 sturdy 130lb sheets in good sizes. Super stiff cover boards. Good price. “Nature Sketch”. Folds back for small tables and for looking at in bed. Hoping everybody has a good night’s sleep. My name is Susan.

I literally make art in bed 😂. I’m not bed ridden, I’m just depressed. Hahaha. I’m crocheting at the moment. But I do need to get off my butt and rearrange my space. I don’t know what you’re suffering from, but my guess is lymphedema. I have it, moving is super important! Self and professional Massage and lots of water help. If I’m off target, my bad. If not, I hope you keep moving!
It'll be good to hear what you say about fatigue, which I suffer with too often, it seems. At 67, I'm sure it's age-related & sleep related & health related...some conditions & things I still need to work out with my docs. But it's a bummer when I really want to get creative work done & the "umph" just isn't there.
Hi Nancy, I’m so sorry that you struggle with fatigue too. It’s one of my most debilitating symptoms. I have Mast Cell Activation Syndrome (MCAS) and the fatigue is very disabling for me. A lot of my viewers struggle with chronic fatigue and chronic pain. One of the hardest things for me was coming to terms with the fact that I needed to drop out of the galleries that carried my work and I was not going to be able to create “pretty paintings“ every day anymore. Once I allowed myself to just explore and experiment with my art supplies on my high fatigue days, it really freed me up to be able to create without adding to my fatigue. I don’t know if you’ve seen my videos on my “Art Nest”, but it’s a bag of art supplies that I keep set up next to my recliner where I can paint on days and evenings that I’m unable to get up into the studio. I have such a strong need/desire to create that my art nest has been a lifesaver for me.
@@BeginnersMind-ArtMind Thanks, Linda, for sharing what you struggle with. It must have been difficult to not do all the art that you once did with ease. I'm glad your channel has given you a family of support with folks who suffer the same condition. I just have an amalgamation of conditions that give me fits sometimes, the most prominent: gut & digestive issues such as GERD, & IBS (I have to take omeprazole everyday...normally not supposed to use it long-term...but I have to in order to help prevent throat cancer) My ENT (history of upper respiratory stuff) told me I should have another endoscopy..that's gastroenterologist territory and I want to find a new gastro. I have balance issues and have heart disease in my family. A few months ago I was having moderate chest pain & upper left arm & neck pain that really hurt & wouldn't let up and my hubs took me to the emergency room at 3am. Fortunately, it wasn't a heart attack but was told it was either severe heartburn or the ER doc said it was more likely some undiagnosed musculoskeletal condition. So I now need to see a rheumatologist and I've begun seeing a regular cardiologist . It's always something, isn't it? I do hope you can continue to share your wonderful creativity with the supportive community you've developed, in spite of the fatigue and pain. I am subscribed but haven't seen your vids in my feed for some time time, so I'll have to check. Take care and I look forward to watching you a lot more!
I have a lot of similar conditions to yours. Mine are caused by the MCAS. I’ve been on omeprazole for years for Gerd to heal esophageal ulcers. I’ve had severe IBS since I was a small child. I recently and suddenly went into hypertensive crisis with my blood pressure going over 230. I’m on a ton of medications, but now my heart rate is too slow, 48. It’s been a nightmare of a roller coaster, but, as you know, all too well, those of us with chronic illness just keep putting 1 foot in front of the other. Keep making art, the creative process is so calming and healing to our nervous systems. Take good care of my friend! Oh, and if you hit the little notification bell on RUclips, you will be notified when I upload a new video each week. ❤️
Dealing with Chemo, not moving much, what R you using to do do this? Cell phone, go pro, I think I might like to try this, how do I start? To much work? Thank you for your time
I haven’t tried making art digitally, I work mostly in my sketchbook. I have what I call my “Art Nest” set up next to my recliner. It is basically just a backpack filled with art supplies that I can grab and use in my sketchbook when my fatigue is really high.
Matt medium tends to be thinner and Matt gel, medium thicker. You can paste down thicker pieces of collage material with the gel medium, but it’s a little more cumbersome to work with Hope that helps!
Thanks!
Thank you so very much for your generous super thanks tip!! I don’t get those very often and it means so much to me when I do. Sending you a big hug of gratitude! ❤️🙌🙏😘🥰

Wow! Just reading the comments here. I didn’t realize there were so many others in similar boats.
Sending out so much love and virtual hugs to you all. 💕
We are not alone. 💕
I love that you just shared that! So many people here need to hear that and to feel those virtual hugs. Sending a big hug right back to you! 😊💜
So proud of you for keeping creativity a priority in your life! 🙌👏🖍️📚
That sounds wonderful!! It’s true that color play is very good for our health and nervous systems. 📚🖍️🎨🖌️💜
I absolutely loved how this mixed media picture developed! What’s not to love about gray haired ladies holding up the moon ❤
Thanks so much! I’m really glad that you enjoyed it and I appreciate your letting me know. 👩🦳🌜😉
The green shapes almost look like fish swimming in the Ocean! Very pretty! What a surprise! You never know what you are going to create by just playing!
I think those kind of surprises are the best part of intuitive painting! It’s my favorite way to paint. 🖌️🎨
I love how people are supporting each other in the comments 🙏🙌💜📚🖍️

Much love 🩷
Thank you so very much for your kind comment. I’m so glad that you have a creative practice to lean into when it gets hard! 💕🙏
Your perseverance always amazes me. You are the singular reason that I create so much more than ever before. I made so many excuses that pale in comparison to the reasons you could use to not create. For this, I owe you so much for changing my art process! Hugs to you, Don, and the pups!
What a blessing to read your kind words Melissa. Thank you so much for sharing that with me ❤️❤️❤️
Thanks so much for showing up for us and especially for yourself. ❤
Thank you for your sweet comment 💜🙏
Dogs are so wonderful for that! It makes me happy to know that your sweet girl helps Keep you moving. 🐶💕
Sounds like me. I keep a small supply of art supplies on every room and pick it up whenever I fall down from fatigue.
Sounds like a great plan! 🖌️🎨🖍️📚
Mixed media ❤
Thanks so much for this video Linda!
Mixed media - lots of free spirited art fun. Love it. 😊

Can absolutely relate Linda. I have the same experience. It's so amazing how you can start small and then just have that creativity flow over you. Glad you were able to pull yourself into your studio. 👏💗

Mixed media can be so much fun and no wrong way to do it. What a surprise at the end- I thought she was shaping into a mermaid for a moment there but it's an example of why you should keep going if you feel ok and not give up. Super inspiring!
Thanks! A few people said they thought she was a mermaid 🧜♀️ 🤗🖍️📚💜
Omg I found me here I get this way too so glad I found you. ❤
I’m glad you found your way here too! 🤗 So glad you enjoyed it! Thank you for watching and commenting! 📚🖍️💕

Came across you this morning for first time when my chronic illness happened to be particularly high and my motivation as a result particularly low, I never usually comment on the videos I watch but felt compelled to reach out and say THANK YOU and tell you how much you reassured me that I'm not alone and if i only do a little doodling today then that is enough and I am enough so thank you for making my day feel so much better xxx

Linda and anyone interested...didn't see this vid a month ago 😕 but here are a few fun, low-energy busting and lower cost color supplies I've bought from Amazon this past year. I bought these mainly for kicks & for unstructured art and bc they looked like fun and also to maybe get my mojo going when I'm fatigued:
Shuttle Art dual-tipped dot markers set of 18 water-based pigments.
This is awesome, I have POTS and am in bed half the day
I’m really glad you liked it. A lot of my bedridden viewers have put together what I call an “Art Nest”. I have a few videos on different versions of my own Art Nests over time. 🖍️📚💕
Loved it !!!

If transporter technology were real I'd totally zap over to see you from Down Under for a cuppa and a chin wag and some Mixed Media playaround ❤
That would be so much fun!🤩 📚🖍️
Thank you! Mixed Media. Mermaid Moonlight!❤
Ha ha, thank you! She did sort of have a mermaid vibe going lol 🧜♀️🌝
So sorry to hear that you’re depressed but very happy to hear that you’re making art! I know how paralyzing depression and anxiety can be. 🙏📚🖍️

Hi this my first time god bless you my new friend I will lisen 😅❤
God bless you too. Be well my friend! 🖍️📚💜
Or fabric for a Kimono that somebody like Stevie Nicks would wear onstage or in a album cover photo...................

Dealing with Chemo, not moving much, what R you using to do do this? Cell phone, go pro,
I think I might like to try this, how do I start? To much work?
Thank you for your time
I haven’t tried making art digitally, I work mostly in my sketchbook. I have what I call my “Art Nest” set up next to my recliner. It is basically just a backpack filled with art supplies that I can grab and use in my sketchbook when my fatigue is really high.

How did/do you get it on line?
@@constance9789 Do you mean how do I get my art online? I post my art on Instagram and I have a Facebook business page where I posted it as well.
Is matte medium the same thing as matte gel medium?
Matt medium tends to be thinner and Matt gel, medium thicker. You can paste down thicker pieces of collage material with the gel medium, but it’s a little more cumbersome to work with Hope that helps!
