You claim it was for your undergraduate audio project so if I'm understanding correctly you composed, edited, and published this video which contains your work. If so, this is fucking great. Two things I’ve learned here:
1. Not only is Superman solar powered, but he can also take the energy from sunlight stored in plants.
2. Batman is now a cult leader.
The plant withered due to leftover radiation, not because superman absorb it

That's totally not how nuclear and solar radiation works, but then again it's Superman so the writing is always kind is stupid
But, there's a difference between radiation and radiation. Everything that isn't purest white absorbes radiation. The radiation that enters the atmosphere though has had its higher frequency radiation cleaned out by the Earth's magnetic field and then the ozon layer.

I think in this movie's canon, there was a story where Alfred had some Dionesium (The chemical name DC came up with for Lazarus Pit water) from the Lazarus pit that Bruce brought back to revive him after some event that killed him.
Alfred here has slowed down aging as a side effect of small-dose Dionesium (You need a lot for immortality) and is physically a 60-70 year old.
[Spoiler Alert]
By the end of this story though, he got a sudden heart attack and died.
The dionesium probably just wore off after all those years.

Super-man apparently in comics has a special invisible energy field around him which grants him his immunity to bullets and is the reason why his suit is so hard to damage
So shouldn't Superman stay intact like his suit with that energy field?

We honestly do not know that as of yet
We've found planets that are solid ice, however the ice emits a combustible gas that is always on fire, but the ice itself doesn't melt.
If physics change on certain planets and within certain parts of our own galaxy (black holes, are now in a state of theoretical limbo due to the events of March 15th 2015, and could actually be wormholes leading to different parts of our universe) then it is more logical to surmise that elements as well can vary.
To even suggest that elements are universal without any difference, composition, electron & neutron make-up, etc is completely and utterly ignorant. We've only mapped a whopping 2% of our own galaxy (over 400 planets, 8 of which are in goldilock systems and ideal for both human and non human sentient life. 3 black holes, roughly 16 different suns varying in different color radiation spectrums: blue, yellow, red, orange, green and even purple/black [negative sums]. Solar systems with dual and triple suns...) and have yet to reach past our own galaxy, but have summations as to possibilities beyond our galaxies primarily based upon equations and less and less based upon what we've encountered on our planet. Mind you, Earth as a whole we only truly know an estimated 8-10% about (but that is actually a gigantic number in terms of everything concerning our living planet).

Elements are pretty universal.
That's why they're called elements.
There are a few variations, like isotopes that have varying levels of electrons and or neutrons, but they're same element.
Physics also remain generally the same throughout the known universe. With a few quantum exceptions.
As for the planet you mentioned, it isn't necessarily physics working differently but rather different circumstances under which the same elements are existing.

This is a superman that is theoretically just as out of his prime as Batman is, it is the start of the Iron Age rather than silver age.
Though it could also be the radiation from the warhead futzing with him even as seperate sub-critical masses.
Plus this is a continuity where the soviets KNOW superman is regan's ace in the hole. they'd do everything they can to make their weapons able to mitigate him however possible. Hence the 'leakey' warheads theory.
Supermans Prime doesnt slow down for like another 100 years, this was just plot choice.
Imagine discovering that different iterations of a character have different power levels.
Just because some versions of Superman could destroy whole galaxies by sneezing doesn't mean all can.

luis juarez he has a biofield that he can naturally extend beyond his skin for a few millimeters, otherwise he'd need a new suit every time someone shot bullets at him.

@@davecrupel2817 Batman in the comic this is based on is meant to be sort of abandoning his humanity in a metaphorical sense, transforming into a figure of myth, hence why he heals so fast, despite being 60 is so damn strong and fast and has such incredible stamina, and even how he was able to survive things like the point blank grenade to the face without much more than a bloody nose.
Same reason Superman is so weak (comparatively to other comic appearances), in the sort of metaphor he's become entirely enslaved to the rules and commands of a political office, hence "lessening" himself.
Superman supposedly has an "aura of invincibility" that extends a small distance from his body, which protects his clothing. Not sure if it accounts for the cape, though.
This is why superhereos should not involve themself in politics.
If the Soviets had lost to the US in a conventional way they probably still would have launched a nuke.

Yeah, I have to say I don't see the point of this. It's just altering a studio's original work to add your own "take" on the audio....And the original is a lot better.
While Superman can't do that in the main comics, this was an interesting take on the solar powers of Superman and how he could forcefully take it from the earth (of course he feels bad about it and thanks the earth for letting him drain it) if he really needed to.
Would have loved to hear Kevin Conroy use his old Bruce voice from Batman Beyond for this though haha

This whole secuence in the comic is a WORK OF ART. It really feels extremely haunting. And far far far far more efective than "Generic dramatic music 4". The animation in that scene is really nice, and having the original monologue in there would make it one of my favorite scenes of all time

I was hoping that toon would be as violent as the comic along with the voice over Luke in the comic. But it was great to see supes doomsday and batmans final battle in dawn of justice. Everyone in the audience were moving in their seats and whispered to each other about what was going to happen to both heroes.

Those were SUNflowers, they clearly had power of the sun within them. Out of the joke, maybe after numerous of times be beaten by having his sun ray cut off, Superman developed a new skill allows him to drain life force of the living things in order to restore his own
