    Great job man! Loved to see another IWC collector. I have a Pilot 41 and a Baby Pilot 36.
    Thinking of adding another one.

    The other Spitfire bronze which belongs to the Big Pilot family has a twin barrel system which makes it highly accurate even with the 8 day power reserve. Annoyingly tho, the big date is at the 12 o’clock position so you cannot see the date change at midnight when the hands block your view. The geniuses at the IWC design team felt that this was a good idea, and they also felt the need to put the 8 day power reserve display on the back of the watch, making it easier for you to crash the plane if you lost track of time and decided to take your hands off the steering wheel so that you could take off the watch to see how much power reserve was remaining on the watch.

      That’s hilarious. Still beautiful.

    Your video made me pulled the trigger:) got the exact same one. Didn’t like the new strap system and found a great deal on this, so it was an easy decision. Thank you.

    Thanks for making the video... I just picked up my second spitfire, but was confused by the new movement thanks for clearing that up

      Did you get the new movement with the extended power reserve? Either way it’s still a killer watch and I don’t even think about it anymore.

    I'm very tempted by the steel spitfire but I'm waiting for the right deal preowned! The final film I watched with my father before he past away was "The First of The Few", so it'd be a fitting tribute.

      As a first and forever every day all around field/pilot watch, you won’t be disappointed.

    Hey, I'm thinking of buying a steel version spitfire. I already have a mark xx on a bracelet
    Do you know if the mark xx bracelet is compatible with the spitfire?

    • @Randyswatches

      I know that they both are compatible with the 20mm EasXchange strap. But since the case size is different, I doubt the bracelet would fit because it contours the Mark XX case.

    Spitfire vs Mark XX?

    • @Randyswatches
      @Randyswatches  5 месяцев назад +2

      I’ll post the Mark XX soon. Going to try to be less bland.
      Comparing the two is like comparing two of your favorite music artists. Impossible to choose. If you could ONLY have one, it would have to be the MARK XX. Why? Looks amazing on any strap. 100m water resistance. Best bracelet in the price segment hands down. Dressy or casual.
      But I’ll be honest, I probably wear the spitfire more. I would get both used, which can be done for about $10k.
