Sorry I should have explained that it was a Chinese bearing kit they messed up and gave an extra, my other kit didn't have an extra one. There weren't any other bushings Thank you I'm glad it will help.
That sucks. You'll probably have to take apart the axles and transmission and clean everything up. If you have bearings, you may need to oil or replace them.
Nothing they are great for some things while bearing are great for others Bushing are better if you run it in wet, muddy conditions. Bearings are better to have a smoother drivetrain for all around use but don't do good with moisture. For a crawler you really don't need bearings but I was planning on eventually upgrading the power on this. So it would be better to have it smoother.
I've just tried this, was going well until got to the screws in the axle cases and the gearbox mounts, they just started rounding persevered by pushing on them on a angle, forgot I needed to put the uj,s before I mounted the transfer box now I'm totally fucked, with rounded screws, that I can't undo, bought 2 of these for me and the lad, thought they where brilliant and there just a waste of money, don't get them wet, don't use the Alan key provided, over branded hype, traxxas no better than the stuff off wish, and really wanted the ultimate hauler, is all just a sales pitch, I wish I stayed away from, should moan at them see if can get a refund, hope this is useful
So I'm not sure if there is enough room for these to fit in there but these work great for stripped screws amzn.to/3qtswAi And if you do still want to use them in water get a stainless steel screw set. amzn.to/47yNTBc And I would also recommend getting a good tool set I like this one because it's ratcheting and the length is adjustable amzn.to/3OxSCdE I hope this helps
You’ve done good thank you.
Thank you for the comprehensive video! Massive help!
doing my Bronco now with your vid thank you and good work now i need a electric screwdriver..
Thank you
Ya it helps just don't over tighten anything it can strip things out quick if you aren't careful
I hade the same extra one but also had one of the thin walled bearings missing.
That's weird some of the cheaper kits can't count 😆
it absolutely helped thank you so much.
went well waiting for more parts
Was there a bushing holding the motor gear? Could explain one left over bearing? Can't wait to upgrade mine. This video will be a great help 😁

Thanks for sharing. Does it make much difference though?
It's not going to make that much difference, but some people like to do every upgrade. Really, it's just personal preference.
Thanks! The original traxxas bearing is quite expensive so I'm kinda leave it as a stock bushing🤔
@Awetothee ya, these were an aftermarket kit so much cheaper.
@@OverBudgetRC will definitely look for it!
GREAT VIDEO!!!!!!! Thank you!!!!
Thank you
Just out of curiosity, is it not best to give all of the gears a dab of grease before fitting it back together??
Yes that would probably be a good idea.
@@OverBudgetRC thanks mate, was just checking! Very good video though, you made it look very easy!
I just drove mine in some water and now it doesnt run as smooth. Should I grease anything ? Any ideas?

A bit of lithium grease and a drop of wd 40 in each bearing works wonders
I’m afraid I would mess up the screws and forget which goes where 😅
😆 🤣
Just take photos

Can I just buy metal axels instead of doing this
That won't be the same unless they include bearings

Also finding I am nearly through and everything is rounding off. Also using the Alan key in the box
