Using A to dive canceling (still can do it without A by double tapping the dive button), jumping at the water surface doesn't count as a jump.

Wait, jumping out of the water dosen't count as a jump?! I restarted the 7 jumps death wish like 5 times because I fell in the water...
@@dudutuga2322 as far i know it didnt counted when i played 'mafias jumps'. there is still a possibity that the jump counter patched since i played before the dlc 2 came out.

Ledge grab pull-up counts as a jump.
@@zaxtonhong3958 I tested in the death wish in game but I couldn't attend to do a single ledge grab (probably cuz im too bad at this game). But somebody pointed out ledge grab pull ups are counted as jumps when i asked my friends. Jumping on water still doesn't count as jump (at least i could test that)

Just did this run myself, and it was super fun! To anyone who hasn't played A Hat in Time, I beg you to indulge yourself in this masterpiece. To anyone who has, but got bored of it, this is a great way to give the game a fresh coat of paint!

I got it for pc but my pc sucks so I get like 25fps on the lowest graphics quality. Still perfectly playable but oof.

The No-Bonk badge is so broken, you can slide up slopes with it to gain tons of vertical and horizontal momentum.
Also, Hat Kid should already have an umbrella. I think playing as Bow Kid must've caused this.

Might be an unpopular opinion, but a jumpless challenge would clearly be more difficult in Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker.

That is actually Impossible on the Wii U version as it has an extra cutscene not in the Switch or 3DS versions where Toad jumps to get in a pipe.

whats funny is the game runs on even clunker PCs just fine at lower graphical settings, so the console ports are literally just inferior in every way
@@inkllama5445 because switch version was rebuilt from the ground up. Afterall, Unreal ENgine 3 is not switch compatible, so they have to use Unreal Engine 4

I tried a Hatless run and got so close to the end only for the last level to add 4-5 uses to the counter. Love your content by the way.
This video was the first time I had ever heard of A Hat in Time and made me want to get the game. As of about a month or two ago I got all of the timepieces in the game and can't wait for a sequel, so thank you for showing me this!

you have some problems with trying to pass games without jumping
There's an entire genre built around jumping, and this series is all about trying to find critical mehanics you can do without.
