Fireman stage was the one I always could do without getting hit, never even used the pause trick. However the ice man stage was pure torture for me. It's interesting how different people take the levels on. I also never had issues with bomb man stage. Elec and ice was the devil incarnate Rockman was one of the first games I ever owned. Still one of my favorites of all time
I'm literally trying this right now! ...though, Flomp Mc Domp is right. It's impossible to deliver the final blow without the sword. Luckily, my ruleset is that I *can't press B while the sword icon is present*, and Link starts the second phase of the Ganon fight with the Master Sword already in his hand, letting us safely Jump Slash our way to victory! ...Of course, I still have to, you know, get there! So far, I've gotten 3 Medallions (Forest, Fire and Water). Stuck on Bongo Bongo in the Shadow Temple, so I'm going to farm some Bombchus in the Spirit Temple before trying again. Nasal voice boi Gemini Laser was only in MegaMan... 3, I want to say? They all kind of blend together in my head. Also, I think you need the Magnet Beam at one point in the Wily stages. Otherwise, it's not so gamebreaking. The boss weapons are done in the Super Mario Bros and Kirby power up styles. They're nice to have, but the player always has the opportunity to lose the ability to use them, so the devs made them doable without. Then again, I didn't play any of the MegaMans until this year, so I'm an idiot.
It requires you to rely on intentionally getting bad RNG, and there's a lot of arguing on if it counts or not, but it's possible to get a 'Game Over' before you start the game, allowing you end the game before the start timer of birth. Specifically, with the abortion strats.

can you beat adventure mode in melee without jumping? if you want, you can also add the challenge of not using your up special, but you can use things like samus’ bomb to rise you up, or luigi’s tornado, it’s possible as there’s a bonus for completing a stage without jumping

Coolkid recently did Buster Only, No Damage on his stream. Here's the highlight: www.twitch.tv/videos/297201794 It's rather hard to cheese bosses with just the buster, and Coolkid does not attempt the pause glitch on any of the robot masters. He does try on the Yellow Devil though (it doesn't go well, however, because the hitboxes of the buster shots are TINY compared to an Elec Beam, so the fight ends up going mostly normally anyway). The only reason he pauses for the bubble robot fight is to see which hole it's coming out of; the actual fighting is not cheesed at all.

Both Roahm Mythril and the Snupsters have done segmented (meaning, one stage at a time) damageless runs of the game - Roahm in particular has also done so without using boss weapons except when required. There are others who have done such, but I don't know them off the top of my head. It's theoretically possible to do all of the Classic Megaman games without taking damage - I just don't think you'll get all stages damageless in one single run. Fun fact: There was someone who was doing damageless weaponless runs of the X series, and even got up to X4 before he disappeared.
Yep, the 2nd stage of the Wiley machine in MM2. He had to use the crash-bomber trick to one-shot it because he would rather break the buster-only rule than the no damage rule. Also, many of the fortress stages (and rarely, some of the robot master stages, particularly in 3) are impossible to beat without mobility items or rush.
Short answer: Yes, and you can even do it without using your special weapons for anything other than obstacles that literally demand it in the Wily stages. Roahm Mythril has an extensive playlist of himself practicing and beating almost every stage and fight in the classic Mega Man series without getting hit, without using special weapons, and without taking damage.

Moon, you get a Hitmonlee or Hitmonchan for beating the Fighting Dojo, you're given a Lapras while you're saving Silph Co, you can find an Eevee in Celadon City, you can revive fossils to get an Aerodactyl and either an Omanyte or Kabuto, and you can buy Pokémon at the Prize Corner using the coins you win at the Game Corner. You can even complete Pokémon Red and Blue without capturing any Pokémon, as long as you don't start with Squirtle. (Blastoise can't learn Cut, and neither can Gyarados)
i did a no pokeball challenge on pokemon blue, ended with venasaur, jolteon, hitmonlee, lapras, kabutops, and aerodactyle. the only pokemon you can't pick is squirtle on red/blue, since you can't get any gift pokemon before you need cut, and squirtle can't learn cut. pokemon yellow would likely be much easier once you get past brock, but grinding levels until pikachu can actually deal enough damage to win against brock is gonna be a huge pain. then you get charmander, bulbasaur, and squirtle, all of which can basically handle your hm needs, and that's without the eevee, lapras, hitmon pokemon, and fossils. i'd also add that the fossil pokemon really aren't worth getting in red/blue/yellow, since their move pools are super limited and you get them late enough in the run that they're super impractical to level grind when you can already have a pretty solid team. fire red/leaf green on the other hand, might be better since they'll have access to more decent moves.
It was a good video, but I feel it wasn't super great for this series. Like, the video felt like it was inevitable, since nothing in the game requires you to take damage, as opposed to jumping or shooting in Mario and Splatoon respectively. I think the series is best suited by sticking with challenges that question how mandatory things are in the game.

There are two camps of players: those who play the stages only with buster, and those who don't. As someone who never used special abilities before the boss, killing these is kind of a cheat or novice move to me; especially, since they can be passed without damage while having buster equipped.

Sometime a run will funnel you into a room with a pit to get through, and without a flight item or teleportation, there'd be no way to get through. It is possible, but there's a chance you'll get block cocked
Certain combos break EtG, duct tape Makeshift Cannon to Demon Head, get Wax Wings and Full Metal Jacket and I think you'd struggle to take a hit if you tried

I think it's because nearly any attack causes a large amount of damage on Mega. Like, 1/4 of your HP can be destroyed by touching on certain enemies, it's so annoying.
9:14 You can just let go of the d pad and mash shoot to kill all of the penguins and bullet bills while the water pushes you to the end. You can run forward and mash to kill the penguins, but the bullet bills will explode and damage you.

Let's see, hurdles include: ~Stuff to find in a chest - armor, swords bows, arrows( or materials for them, Flint and steel. ~Finding an array of perfectly placed obsidian to be about to go to the nether for the flame stick things to get ender eyes ~destroying or getting to the top of the pillars at the end If you can do that, then yeah, probably.
My boss order in this game has always been Cut/Guts/Bomb/Ice/Fire/Elec. That order just feels right to me - Cut Man's stage has a general "let's go!" feel to it (largely thanks to the music) and feels relatively basic and simple, Guts Man feels like a natural second stage, and Elec Man feels like the big test of your skills before the Dr. Wily fortress.
Oh! Can you try this one? Can you beat Shadow of the Colossus without Agro? I think that it might be possible, but #10 would be a pain... Also you CAN use all of the time attack weapons and armour, BUT please as a bonus challenge prevent from doing so. ALL VERSIONS OF THE GAME ARE UP FOR TRYING. During the travel towards #16, you need to use Agro to jump across a chasm that triggers the scene where Agro falls into the depth. Unless you go OOB to circumvent the cutscene, you will need Agro to cross that chasm. The snake, tortoise and mammoth (#2) are completely beatable without Agro, though.
Can you beat cuphead without shooting? It Is possible as you can parry, use the axe cutter item, the coffee or use 2p mode deaths to use ex moves. Its ok if you don't want to. It's pretty hard. Good luck

@@personguy6904 yes, but gamechamp frequently exploited glitches in his run, used a really stupid and dangerous strategy for dodging the bombs at the start of Bomb Man's stage, and insists that special weapons are REQUIRED for a no damage run. Roahm didn't do any of that.

can you beat adventure mode in melee without jumping? if you want, you can also add the challenge of not using your up special, but you can use things like samus’ bomb to rise you up, or luigi’s tornado, it’s possible as there’s a bonus for completing a stage without jumping

Coolkid recently did Buster Only, No Damage on his stream. Here's the highlight: www.twitch.tv/videos/297201794 It's rather hard to cheese bosses with just the buster, and Coolkid does not attempt the pause glitch on any of the robot masters. He does try on the Yellow Devil though (it doesn't go well, however, because the hitboxes of the buster shots are TINY compared to an Elec Beam, so the fight ends up going mostly normally anyway). The only reason he pauses for the bubble robot fight is to see which hole it's coming out of; the actual fighting is not cheesed at all.

Both Roahm Mythril and the Snupsters have done segmented (meaning, one stage at a time) damageless runs of the game - Roahm in particular has also done so without using boss weapons except when required. There are others who have done such, but I don't know them off the top of my head. It's theoretically possible to do all of the Classic Megaman games without taking damage - I just don't think you'll get all stages damageless in one single run.
Fun fact: There was someone who was doing damageless weaponless runs of the X series, and even got up to X4 before he disappeared.

Yep, the 2nd stage of the Wiley machine in MM2. He had to use the crash-bomber trick to one-shot it because he would rather break the buster-only rule than the no damage rule.
Also, many of the fortress stages (and rarely, some of the robot master stages, particularly in 3) are impossible to beat without mobility items or rush.

Short answer: Yes, and you can even do it without using your special weapons for anything other than obstacles that literally demand it in the Wily stages. Roahm Mythril has an extensive playlist of himself practicing and beating almost every stage and fight in the classic Mega Man series without getting hit, without using special weapons, and without taking damage.

Moon, you get a Hitmonlee or Hitmonchan for beating the Fighting Dojo, you're given a Lapras while you're saving Silph Co, you can find an Eevee in Celadon City, you can revive fossils to get an Aerodactyl and either an Omanyte or Kabuto, and you can buy Pokémon at the Prize Corner using the coins you win at the Game Corner.
You can even complete Pokémon Red and Blue without capturing any Pokémon, as long as you don't start with Squirtle. (Blastoise can't learn Cut, and neither can Gyarados)
i did a no pokeball challenge on pokemon blue, ended with venasaur, jolteon, hitmonlee, lapras, kabutops, and aerodactyle. the only pokemon you can't pick is squirtle on red/blue, since you can't get any gift pokemon before you need cut, and squirtle can't learn cut. pokemon yellow would likely be much easier once you get past brock, but grinding levels until pikachu can actually deal enough damage to win against brock is gonna be a huge pain. then you get charmander, bulbasaur, and squirtle, all of which can basically handle your hm needs, and that's without the eevee, lapras, hitmon pokemon, and fossils.
i'd also add that the fossil pokemon really aren't worth getting in red/blue/yellow, since their move pools are super limited and you get them late enough in the run that they're super impractical to level grind when you can already have a pretty solid team. fire red/leaf green on the other hand, might be better since they'll have access to more decent moves.
It was a good video, but I feel it wasn't super great for this series. Like, the video felt like it was inevitable, since nothing in the game requires you to take damage, as opposed to jumping or shooting in Mario and Splatoon respectively. I think the series is best suited by sticking with challenges that question how mandatory things are in the game.

There are two camps of players: those who play the stages only with buster, and those who don't. As someone who never used special abilities before the boss, killing these is kind of a cheat or novice move to me; especially, since they can be passed without damage while having buster equipped.

not true Dweb, when you use the right analogue stick to orient your pikmen, if you charge them through an enemy, they will automatically start attacking (however, there are a small few things that absolutely require a throw, but that's a relatively small number I believe)

Sometime a run will funnel you into a room with a pit to get through, and without a flight item or teleportation, there'd be no way to get through.

Certain combos break EtG, duct tape Makeshift Cannon to Demon Head, get Wax Wings and Full Metal Jacket and I think you'd struggle to take a hit if you tried

~destroying or getting to the top of the pillars at the end

My boss order in this game has always been Cut/Guts/Bomb/Ice/Fire/Elec.
That order just feels right to me - Cut Man's stage has a general "let's go!" feel to it (largely thanks to the music) and feels relatively basic and simple, Guts Man feels like a natural second stage, and Elec Man feels like the big test of your skills before the Dr. Wily fortress.

Oh! Can you try this one? Can you beat Shadow of the Colossus without Agro? I think that it might be possible, but #10 would be a pain... Also you CAN use all of the time attack weapons and armour, BUT please as a bonus challenge prevent from doing so. ALL VERSIONS OF THE GAME ARE UP FOR TRYING. That includes the ps4, ps3, AND ps2 version. But try the ps4 version first pls I REALLY hope that you see this and try it :)

It's not really possible. During the travel towards #16, you need to use Agro to jump across a chasm that triggers the scene where Agro falls into the depth. Unless you go OOB to circumvent the cutscene, you will need Agro to cross that chasm. The snake, tortoise and mammoth (#2) are completely beatable without Agro, though.

Can you beat cuphead without shooting? It Is possible as you can parry, use the axe cutter item, the coffee or use 2p mode deaths to use ex moves. Its ok if you don't want to. It's pretty hard.
