Thin a strat neck? They already feel thin to me but everyone has their own desires. The techniques I showed are only a few of the many ways you can remove material to shape a neck. They will work equally well for thinning your strat neck. Just be careful not to remove too much material from the area around the truss rod. That is already pretty close to the minimum you need to support the rod tension.
I don't track the time. That sort of data does not concern me. If I was trying to make a living with this that may be important to know, but working with wood on this level is more of a meditation for me than it will ever be a business.
amazing work. Great Job. pls post video about how to reshape a ready made Strat/tele neck? make it thin a bit so that easy to play and comfortable. thanks
Do you keep a tally on hours spent on the making? Love your videos y the way. Gentle and reflective approach and your explanations are really detailed. Nice to hear violin terms like volute
Do you prefer bolt on necks or dovetail? And can you tell any difference in the sustain and volume between the two guitars after they are finished and mature instruments, bolt or dovetail? Very good videos, thanks for the help.
