I enjoyed your video layout and simple explanations for doing what you are doing. I’ll be borrowing that light trick; thank you!

Borrowing infers return. It is a gift given freely as it was given to me. Please feel free to pass it forward. We all stand on the shoulders of giants.

With the fretboard on what is the spacing distance at bridge from the top to the ruler. Thanks for info.

At 2:03 or so I say the top of the fret board should be 1/4" above the top. The video corrects that to 5/16". What that is above the bridge would depend on the thickness of the bridge. In the end I am shooting for the top of frets to pretty much align with top of bridge. Within a reasonable tolerance.

Hey Nelson. Good videos. Better than most. So I'm building my 1st guitar and the 14th fret is about an 8th away from the neck body joint on the head side. (Using the cumpiano book.) Is my guitar effed? I haven't attached it or fretted yet but the fret board is glued on. Is it critical that the 14th and body line up?

That is the back side of my slick chisel. It is japanese style so it is hollow ground. This one has a triple hollow and the parts that are not mirror smooth show up darker.
Japanese chisels have extremely hard steel laminated to milder steel bodies. They hollow grind the flat face to make it easier to flatten them at the edge. It also keeps the chisels from "floating" on the stones (Hydroplane) while you flatten them.

What tool are you using around 3:14 (that looks like a three spoked fork) "Your tool must be very sharp" .
