Many people don't understand how John Wick won the duel. The deal is that a round is over when one of the duelists dies or both had fired their bullets, but in the third round neither Caine killed John neither John shot, so the third round was still opened and John was still allowed to fire. The Marquis didn't notice that John didn't fire and in his arrogance wanted to finish John himself, traded places with Caine in the duel and use an extra bullet to execute John, but when Winston told that John didn't shoot, the Marquis knew at the instance that he would be dead by the hand of John because he still had the right to shoot or by the hand of the Harbinger because the third round was not over and if the Marquis killed John, it would have been two shots from his side in the same round and that was against the rules and the Marquis would be executed. So John and Caine made everything to trick the Marquis to release Caine and his daughter from the High Table and to place the Marquis in his right spot of the duel, since John challenged the Marquis and not Caine.
Actually, it was because a second idiot decided to not just let John stay retired. Had what's-his-face gone to some different assassin, John would just be growing old with his dog in his house and probably not setting foot back in the assassin world.

The one hour that the Marquis gave to Winston before blowing up the Continental was a reminder of the same one hour that Winston gave to John to run before the contract on him.
In the end of the movie, everyone was having enough of the Marquis, even the High Table. The Marquis was the solution to the High Table to deal with the problem of John Wick by giving him all the power and resources to do it. But that solution became a problem when the Marquis started to gather the power of the Elder, the 12 leaders of the Council, the Adjudicators and all the High Table to himself like a dictator and began to do whatever he wanted without fear of being punished like destroying and invading Continentals without deconsecrate them properly, forcing retired assassins back to this world by threating their families, not keeping his deals, among others. In the end, even the High Table was glad that John Wick killed the Marquis.
The shotgun ammo that exploded is called Dragon’s Breath. It’s doesn’t hit as hard as OO Buck or a slug, but it does catch things on fires and it looks cool AF
The interior of the club fight scene is inspired by the Berlin club Berghain, which is a world famous techno club. Also the dude saying "i am Klaus" is the most legendary bouncer of the Berghain club, named Sven Marquardt in real life. :)

I also remember being just sad at the end. Knowing that Lance Reddick (Charon) had actually passed away shortly before the release of JW4 made it even sadder. I am pretty sure there is an interview where both the writer/director and Keanu has said that, they can make as much John Wick movies as they would like, but unless there is a really good story that makes sense, they wont do it. If other directors want to make movies based on the John Wick universe, he will lend a hand with the lore and world that was built, but over all it would be in the hands of the other directors.
"Why did everyone explode?"- When the assassins prepared themselves in Paris after radio lady announced the hunt, you could see "Dragonsbreath" rounds on the table of one of the assassins. Dragonsbreath rounds are incendiary rounds for shotguns. And we could all see what this incendiary rounds did :D

This movie, indeed this whole series is a love letter to action movies. Lovingly crafted, beautifully shot, the music, the stunts and coreo, amazing world building. We may never see something like this again.
The fact there was a different Elder from the last movie shows that even the one who technically has control of the 12 members of the Table can be replaced, thus showing that the High Table as an organisation is bigger than his members who we only know by their function in the chain like the Elder, the Marquis, the Harbinger or the Adjudicator and not because of the people themselves since they are all replaceable if they died.
I could be wrong, but I think he's still alive, if you noticed how the dog's head popped up while at the cemetery as if noticing something beyond, like his buddy John maybe? Also, a great tribute to the movie The Warriors as the close up on the female DJ's lips, the reference to the "boppers" on the streets and even the first song she played in John Wick 4 was the same first song in The Warriors. I think that by the end everything was a setup by John, Winston, The King, and Caine. They shot each other in non-vital areas just like the doctor in 3. They could have easily blown each other's heads off. I do not think John is dead but possibly. If he was at least he is with Helen. Also, Winston may have been his father. John will appear in Ballerina with Ana de Armas. If they do another film the rumor is it will be a prequel about Helen and the "impossible task" that got him out.
My favorite part is Donnie Yen's Chinese Kung-Fu influenced take and love letter to the legendary Japanese blind swordsmen Samurai series "Zatoichi" played by Shintaro Katsu, also wielding a cane sword for no less than 26 films! They're all great!

I just finished binge watched your reactions to Stranger Things season 1. I would also recommend that you do reactions on the top-rated #1 world-wide Netflix show: Wednesday season 1. If you do, you will laugh out loud and be frightened and cry too, the full range of emotions. Plus Netflix announced that Wednesday Season 2 is coming out in October, probably for Halloween. There's a "prequel" coming out. 'Ballerina' in which John Wick appears so he's not gone forever. I doubt he'll be in it much and is more of a cameo to encourage get people to see Ballerina.
The thing about Dragon's Breath rounds for those who don't know, is that they're just as dangerous to the person firing the shotgun as they are to the intended target.
The way I see it the reason nobody in the clubs react to the fights is video game logic. Nobody in the backgrounds ever react in Street Fighter or Mortal Kombat games when our characters are fighting and I respect it

The DJ who announces the songs is a reference to The Warriors from 1979. Charlie from the cleaning crew played a leading role in it.
