I don’t think I’ve ever liked a sequence better from the John Wick series than the overhead Dragon’s Breath Shotgun sequence. That was one of the most visually striking set pieces ever in an action film. It literally made me forget to breathe, it was so cool.
There are so many shots and sequences in this movie that are, in themselves, a work of art. That phenomenal overhead tracking shot of the dragons breath fight...the meeting to agree terms atvthe Eiffel Tower...the duel itself at the Sacre Cour...plus the Marquis' tailoring of course! 😁 But of all these, there is one shot that really scratches an itch i didnt know i had and makes me grin with giddy pleasure for some reason...and that is the low tracking shot from behind the Osaka Continental guards as they one by one unsheath their blades, bathed in the green light! Its so beautiful! 🥰

I absolutely loved this ending. And I loved the movie as well as this reaction. I had posted in another reaction the thought that when it shows Johns' tombstone at the end, he wasn't pretending to be dead, but a farewell to the John who originally pulled him out of the assassins' life, the half of him that pulled him out for his wife. This is his birth back into the Baba Yaga. It ties to all the times when John was 'just visiting' and his refusal to dive back into the pool that Winston mentioned in Chapter 1. But phenomenal reaction to a mystical film.
Michael came to the same conclusion I did with the ending, the grave tells everyone he died so he can now live his life in peace. There are rumblings that some of the people involved want to do a John Wick 5, but I think they are going to lay this movie to rest, unless they come up with a really good script. That being said, this movie was really good to end the series.
Such a phenomenal franchise. Everyone working on these films knew exactly what they wanted and delivered it tenfold. I do agree that they kinda fell short on chapter 2 but they brought it 100% around in the last 2 chapters. There was never a dull moment for me personally. This is a top 10, maybe even top 5 movie franchise of all time.
The man who played Klaus, Sven Marquardt, is/was a bouncer at a club in Berlin (berghain) years back when I was stationed in Germany I ran into him. obviously I didn’t care who he was at the time but watching this movie I was like that Leonardo meme realizing it was him 😂
Fun fact: In 2019 Disney was just an inch away from buying Lionsgate. That would have made them the owners of the properties of Predator, Alien and John Wick. They could have done the greatest thing ever. Throw the Ewoks in there too for good measure.
The set pieces in this film, the gallerys, the architecture, lighting, are all elevated as well but still stay true to the colors we've come to expect in these movies.

-In August of 2022, the two things I was looking forward to the most were my 1st time seeing Jinjer live in Charlotte and John Wick Chapter Four. Both managed to exceed my expectations. I managed to see this 3 times in the theater. -I love the beginning. The build up with a fist punching the target with blood(dried with probably some fresh?) as The Bowery King is walking and giving that monologue does such a great job building up the first appearance of John Wick. When John turns around and responds to the Bowery King asks if he’s ready by turning around and giving that low,”Yeah”, I was giddy. -When it was reported that Lance Reddick passed away the week before the official premiere of the movie, I thought it was sad but didn’t cry. However, I knew that the first appearance of Charon would have me tearing up. I couldn’t stop the tears. I was interested in seeing what would happen to the character and, with the talk of a Chapter Five, how much work they’d have to do deal with it. After the Marquis killed him, my jaw dropped. For a moment, I went full conspiracy theorist. -I had to chuckle about “Mr. Nobody.” In 2021, Derek Kolstad was behind a movie starring Bob Odenkirk as a former military officer that was similar to John Wick with Rza and Christopher Lloyd as co-stars. While it was very much an action movie, it had a more comedic tone. The title of it? “Nobody.” -I can see people looking at the battle in the Osaka Continental and comparing it to the scene in the New York Continental in “Chapter Three.” They used a lot of the same elements(Green lighting, High Table forces being heavily armored, glass rooms, etc). However, they did an exceptional job still making it feel different. Whenever I watch the seen where John is hitting the guy in the head with the nunchucks, I can’t help but hear “What did I tell you about putting your feet on the furniture.” -The fight between Koji and Caine was so well done. From the fighting itself to the scenery to the lighting to the lack of music to hear the katanas. -I talked about going conspiracy theorist when it came to Charon’s death. During the boat ride at the end, I thought Winston talking about what he put on Charon’s grave was the best unintentional tribute to Reddick. It still makes me cry but there’s a part of my mind that feels the timing of everything is weird. -I’ve heard reactors say that the shootouts leading up to the duel were a bit much. However, once you get to the ending, you realize that they work. The filmmakers wanted to go out HUGE and that’s what they did. -The scene that still gets me is the overhead room by room shot. However, it’s not just the shot. It starts when John gets a shotgun with the Dragon’s Breath ammo. As I was watching that in the theater, I heard music start and thought “No Way” while leaning forward in my seat with a smile on my face. Then, as the scene starts, the music from the Red Circle starts playing. That was brilliant. -With the shots during the Duel as well as the Nightclub in Berlin and the Osaka Continental among others, I felt like this movie goy snubbed when it came to an Academy Award nomination for Best Cinematography. -I understand what Michael was getting at with his comment about the bullet proof suits. However, they were limited to John and the Marquis’s men. Also, if John was the only person with one, how many people would be asking why no one else had one? It was one thing in Chapter Three because it started pretty much where Chapter Two ended. However, the time span between Chapters Three and Four was 8 months. So, it would make sense that more hitmen would be wearing them especially with John’s recent activities.
I’m just surprised these two stayed awake the whole time. Since the previous John Wick movies are like 1-2 hours long, this one is nearly 3 hours. Either way, it’s official. Lionsgate and Keanu Reeves will never let this franchise die.
Of this was a tv show on streaming you wouldn't think like that but somehow commenter's have a problem with movies that are continuing with what made them successful. Yes movies will never capture the success of their most popular movie in the franchise and you're surprised that no movie franchise can continually top itself instead of enjoying what is presented in a fantasy setting. If I thought this was so terrible I wouldn't be watching a reaction to it just to complain about it. But I'm not a tool
The manager of the Continental in Japan couldn't walk away, if he had the table would continue to look for him and his daughter the fact that he died fighting will satisfy the table
One of my favorite/most sad thoughts when I watch reactions to this movie is how nobody ever notices/recognizes Scott Adkins. I understand that most reactors don't spend much time watching martial arts movies, but Scott is amazing in everything he does.
"that's the voice of Mr. Crabs." That's Clancy Brown, he's the voice of a lot of awesome cartoon characters but I usually think of him as Lex Luthor in the animated Justice League series. He was also the damn Kurgan in Highlander (A film that the director of these movies is set to make a remake of and I can't wait for!). "It's better to burn out, than to fade away." - The Kurgan
I am seeing visual references to several past Keanu movies. Speed - a city bus drives past John during the traffic battle Constantine - John has a handheld weapon called "dragon's breath" Matrix - John fights in a torn-down building with wraparound stairs and black-and-white floor tiles
I really thought the movies would go on and on. Getting crazier and crazier like the fast and furious movies until in john wick 99 where john kills the devil or something and it had a Constantine reference
A sequel is in development but may possibly never come into fruition but there are two spinoff projects: a miniseries prequel “The Continental: From The World Of John Wick” that is currently on Peacock and a film “From The World Of John Wick: Ballerina” which is set between the 3rd and 4th films with appearances by Reeves, McShane, and Reddick (final performance) which releases in 2025.
Top down scene shot has also been done in other movies already, for example, Dragon Tiger Gate … which also stars the awesome Donnie Yen - the blind assassin Caine
John Wick wanted out, So now he is out, People think he is dead,, But while standing at his gravesite with his dog takes a look to the left, Leaves a spot for a John Wick 5,, Just my thought..
Finding out right at the end that Winston was John's father made everything about their entire relationship throughout the series so much more interesting.
John's hand in poker was Ace of Clubs, Ace of Spades, 8 of Clubs, and 8 of Spades. That two pair is known in poker as "The Dead Man's Hand," and it is considered a cursed hand of poker. It is rumored to be the hand that Wild Bill Hickok had when he was shot in the head and killed. For this reason, many superstitious poker players will fold and not play the hand if it's ever dealt to them.
I have watched this movie quite a few times, Bill Skaarsgard was a great villian..Keanu [Yeah] But that Final line Was Winston actually John's father?.. also Rest in Peace Lance Reddick who passed away during this movie. This one is dedicated to him. 😭🛑🎬 #JohnWick4
Is he or isn’t he dead? For weeks it drove me crazy! I was angry. I hated it! I loved it! After I calmed down. I thought long and hard about it. From the beginning John Wick was Shakespearean in its tragedy. If he is dead…this was always the way it would have ended from the choices he made from the first film. If he faked his death, it was the only way to end this nightmare and escape his fate. Either way, I was okay after that.
The Tracker AKA Mr. Nobody's motivation isn't a big nor even small mystery - he is driving the bounty on John Wick to become high enough so he can collect it when it reaches his desired target.
Need updates/casting news for his CAINE spinoff asap?! 🤔🙏 Will only know it starts filming next year in Hongkong but who is the director? will he direct it himself? Need epic castings! 🤔🙏
An he had to dumb down a bit to. Honestly same with Scott Adkins. As well as Mark Dacascos & the dudes from The raid in part 3. They're just a different level
@@LouiepTv Since many don't recognize Scott Adkins i wouldn't mind him coming back as a different character with his typically shredded physique?! 🤔 After seeing the other 2 RAID guys i need Iko Uwais in the John Wick world too! 🙏 Since the other 2 are alive they could come back with him^^
First saw that shot from above with the ceiling being "transparent" (54:59) in City of God. If you've never reacted to that, do it. Extraordinary actors and camera work, one of the best movies ever made.
1:06:20 u all could see the doggo is looking other direction , while the conversation was where is he? who knows , and the headstone of johnwick is probably johnwick is dead but a loving husband is still out there meaning he actually retired but not dead.
if you notice all the shots that john took, all of them were not fatal shots. the theory is that even though the high table gave him his freedom he still has enemies so he has to "die" so they faked his death
The visually stunning top-down shooting scene is based on a game indeed, but the game "Hong Kong Massacre". Very cool game to check out if don't know about it.

Too drop JW4 .... you're gonna luv this one 💯
I’m just surprised these two stayed awake the whole time. Since the previous John Wick movies are like 1-2 hours long, this one is nearly 3 hours. Either way, it’s official. Lionsgate and Keanu Reeves will never let this franchise die.
I really hated this last John Wick movie 🤢
Of this was a tv show on streaming you wouldn't think like that but somehow commenter's have a problem with movies that are continuing with what made them successful. Yes movies will never capture the success of their most popular movie in the franchise and you're surprised that no movie franchise can continually top itself instead of enjoying what is presented in a fantasy setting. If I thought this was so terrible I wouldn't be watching a reaction to it just to complain about it. But I'm not a tool
@@ghostlee6434 THIS!! 👏👏💯💯
Why not? Its not like this is a 3 hours boring movie lol
I fell asleep in not gonna lie.. the gun fights dragged fell asleep to the sounds of bullets
The manager of the Continental in Japan couldn't walk away, if he had the table would continue to look for him and his daughter the fact that he died fighting will satisfy the table
The both of you should watch IP Man. The blind man called Caine is Donnie yen. And he's the star of the IP Man franchise
Fun fact: Keanu Reeves actually stopped talking to anyone or at all for weeks, everytime while preparing to play John
Such a great movie. I can't wait to see what happens next because we all know that Baba Yega never truly dies. Awesome reaction you two 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
I loved Scott Adkins' character... and the fat suit. :D
I am seeing visual references to several past Keanu movies.
Speed - a city bus drives past John during the traffic battle
Constantine - John has a handheld weapon called "dragon's breath"
Matrix - John fights in a torn-down building with wraparound stairs and black-and-white floor tiles
Killa played by the incomparable Scott Adkins, a very accomplished martial artist and stuntman
Now, watch Mission Impossible 4 Ghost Protocol.
We’re working on it! Keep your eyes peeled it’s coming very soon!
one of my favorites from Mission Impossible in the franchise Mission: Impossible The Final Reckoning
2025 coming soon
@@AcharaPlease have them watch the Equalizer as well they are better than John Wick
@@Achara ❤🎉 PLEASE REACT:

KISS THE GIRLS (MORGAN FREEMAN)
AMERICAN GANGSTER ,DEJAVU, FALLEN (ALL DENZEL WASHINGTON )🙏
FOUR BROTHERS (MARK WALBERG)
THE WOOD (OMAR EPPS,SANAA LATHAN)
I really thought the movies would go on and on. Getting crazier and crazier like the fast and furious movies until in john wick 99 where john kills the devil or something and it had a Constantine reference
Shamier Anderson (Mr. Nobody) Looked good handling weapons because besides being a martial artist, he studied criminology and trained with them.
Michael is literally my favorite character in the CinePals anime.
He's fantastic.
His story is over. But the Continental show was SO good! Hope you are watching that next. And then Ballerina will be out soonish!
Oh, hell ya! I think this might be the best one. Hard to top the original, bit this one is epic.
44:54 got me wanting to revisit The Warriors
IMO the best out of all 4 by a mile at least action wise even though the others had insane action already
1:01:10 😂Are ya ready kids? Aye aye captain! I can't HEAR YOU! AYE AYE CAPTAIN!!! OOOOOHHHH😯🎶
In case you missed it, JW4's kill count: 151
50:00 sweatheart , you never been in Paris 😂
sweetheart
50:00 "You'd think traffic would have stopped by now"
My friend, that's what we call a monday morning rush hour on Place de l'Étoile.
Yeah
-John Wick
If ya love Donnie Yen performance, you'd be amazed for the movie hes famous for martial art... "Ip Man"
I really really love this movie a lot.
I loved everything about this movie. But using the doorbells to trick his opponents was very impressive.
Donnie Yen was the real star in this movie. His fighting style is more appealing to watch
Keanu Reeve's "Yeah" is equivalent to Owen Wilson's "Wow." he should get paid every time he says it.
I've been waiting so long for this one :D :D :D
The lady on the radio is from an old movie called Warriors from the 70’s
Just so you know, It's a Fat Suit! 😂
pretty rad these guys like these movies and much as they did, the appreciation for the amazing visuals and choreo is nice.
Please you guys gotta watch The Continental
1:06:20 u all could see the doggo is looking other direction , while the conversation was where is he? who knows , and the headstone of johnwick is probably johnwick is dead but a loving husband is still out there meaning he actually retired but not dead.
The radio announcer scene is straight out of, The Warriors. Awesome homage and ya’ll should definitely see that film.
if you notice all the shots that john took, all of them were not fatal shots. the theory is that even though the high table gave him his freedom he still has enemies so he has to "die" so they faked his death
The visually stunning top-down shooting scene is based on a game indeed, but the game "Hong Kong Massacre". Very cool game to check out if don't know about it.
When Kristen started this franchise she hated it... Now she's in love with it... 😂😂🤣
I sense some fake feelings with her
