this i think, as much as it is a love letter to One Piece, is also a love letter TO THE ONE PIECE FANDOM. its like they're showing us that they see us and that One Piece isn't One Piece if not for us, for all of us, the fans.
They used a BUNCH of random voice actors in the show for people in this, there's a reddit infographic if you search "one piece fan letter voice actors canon" the Nami fangirl is our smiley girl TOKO! The marine older brother is Morgans and the marine younger brother is Queen, lol. The VA for Bepo is also one of the guys in the bar arguing about who's the better swordsman (the Zoro fan).
It is scary to think how powerless normal human beings are in the One Piece world. But still like the marine brothers and the nami fangirl, they continue to be inspired and keep going. Such a beautiful story. 😊😊
I watched a lot of reactions of this fan letter, you guys are the best of there. I can tell you guys really watched OP, like you immediately notice that it was the fake chopper in that scene.
One thing i notice by rewatching it like for the 100th time is the significant of the little girl glasses. She start taking them off because she want to be like Nami, but in the end the only way she will be able to take the correct envelop and run from the marines will be by put them on again, and in the end if you think about it if she hasn´t use them she wouldn´t be able to clearly Nami in the distand. So in the end when she is "seting sail", going to her own adventure she is using the glasses, because she doesn´t need to be Nami, she just need to be like her inspiration and go having her own adventure as herself
