Whitney was AMAZING and I think that just goes more towards the original comment......Mariah is unlike anyone we will ever see again and I don't think people took that fact into account and most still don't acknowledge the fact that NOBODY will ever be like Mariah in the 90s. Period.
I actually think it's because she makes it looks so effortless and easy. When she's singing up and down the scale while running across the stage smiling and laughing it makes it seem like it's nothing. But when anybody else sings the song they look like they are at the end of a marathon... exhausted and just happy they finished. lol

Luther was an absolute King with the smooth, velvet vocals, omg. This whole concert was fabulous, I remember my dad having the DVD and playing it over and over till I got sick of it, lol. RIP to him, the man who had so many hits. The original version of this song with Diana Ross and Lionel Richie is awesome too.
Also wanted to add this was at Albert Thomas Hall in case you want to search for this concert. Those fans were stuffy af. They didn't understand greatness! But Luther's performance was A-1 flawless.
You can tell people were so spoiled back in the day and took for granted how good we had it musically, so to see you so appreciative is refreshing and makes us remember what it felt like when it was new to us, even though it was a cover, an amazing one, also performed live.
