He didn’t do a remake of this song with Beyoncé, but the song he did remake with her for her Dangerously In Love album is called The Closer I Get To You which was originally written and sung by Donny Hathaway and Roberta Flack In 1977. The two songs do sound pretty similar, though.

In the 80's, I was absolutely floored when I saw him and DeBarge in person at the Westbury Music Fair in Long Island, NY. I think Luther, Marvin, and Smokey are in a three-way tie for the smoovest voices ever. Please react to "Something" by Snarky Puppy with Lalah Hathaway.

Marvin Gaye wrote this song for his boo Tammi. Luther came through and made it his own. That’s saying a lot because he’s a feature. This is Cheryl’s cover.

I just found your channel this week. I'm 41 and your passion and respect for older music, (plus production background) is something I can really appreciate and relate to. Seeing how you love this song, I thought you might appreciate: Tonight, I Celebrate My Love-Peabo Bryson w/ Roberta Flack. Super popular wedding song in the 80s. If you've never heard it you may wanna check it out.

I love watching you get passionate about a song the same way I do lol they really do not make music like this anymore. please react to more Luther. Better Love, Don't you know that, and Take you out are a few good ones.
