    Not sure if you read these, but beyond the skills you’re helping me build, I find myself just watching because I like hearing you talk. Keep ‘em coming!! ❤

    Steve McDonald!!! You drive me crazy! I have to tell you why. When I first started watching you, I couldn’t get past your antics and the little things you said and did drove me crazy (like squigy whidgy etc) but you have so much knowledge that I kept watching and kept watching and now I just can’t stop and I love all of your little sayings and I do have to tell you, when you try on your earrings that you make, yes honey! You DO look pretty in them!! I really enjoy watching you. In all reality, you are a breath of fresh air to watch. Thank you for the knowledge that you share. I bought one of your jewelry kits and love it. If I could afford to be a member I would. I would love to be able to pick your brain a bit on some of the problems I’ve encountered with some of my projects. I guess it will have to wait till I can afford it. I tried to support you with buying your kit though, i do hope you got some of the money from it. Keep making your videos! The world needs you.

    Sir, thank you so much for the work that you put into creating entertaining and informative videos. I learn something from every one and I have watched quite a few. I am truly fascinated that you are colorblind and still create wonderful pieces. Please continue to be the lovely, funny, compassionate and intelligent person that you are.😺

    Those came out pretty cool. I'm going to have to try that. Today, I experimented with using cheap eyeshadow powder in place of mica powder. The difference is huge. Mica powder gives consistent color throughout. So does food coloring. But eyeshadow, depending on well you break it up, gives a little translucent color along with lots of colored flakes and gives the resin a speckled egg like appearance. I can't wait to demold it and see how it looks once cured.

    How wonderful! I love playing with alcohol inks. I recently had a 40 oz tumbler I was going to chuck into the f'it bucket but thought I'd play around with it. No loss if it didn't turn out. Used two color alcohol inks and matching micas and OMG it's a beauty! Just goes to show - you never know what you can create by accident. So don't be afraid to experiment! :) Thank you Steve for another lovely video! Hey, be sure to show off those earrings when you make them!

    I agree with you. The Let’s Resin alcohol inks are the best. I’ve tried several other brands and they just didn’t do the color they were supposed to be.

      What does he mean when he says he’s using a sinker, and do you always have to use white first?

    • @janalovelysaylor8677
      @janalovelysaylor8677 Год назад +2

      The white is a “sinker”. It pushes down the color to some degree. They have middle & bottom sinker white. I assume mixing with resin and mica would increase the specific gravity and make it sink more. 😊

In the middle of making a necklace for my mum for mother's Day just haven't decided to keep what I've made our do it again lol, I have to many ideas my brain can't keep up. Maybe an egg shape with alcohol inks and gold leaf

    I am hoping you could give my friend and myself some advice,we love diamond painting ,if you are not familiar it is a bit like mosaics ; putting what they call coloured plastic diamonds or drills onto a pre printed adhesive canvas type substrate ; in a patterned grid like a cross stitch design .We are wanting to put them on trays and cover with a coat of resin ;
    Would the resin melt the diamonds ;they are very small .about 1/10 of an inch square you get 100 per square inch ;is there a resin that doesn't get hot as it cures ;
    We are in New Zealand and probably dont have the range of resins that you have access to
    Regards

    • @christinaperson1168
      @christinaperson1168 Год назад

      I have seen a post recently about them melting, but I would think they would be ok in UV resin because there isn't an exothermic reaction
