When I install water pumps I use insulated spade connectors. When you use wire nuts, you should secure them with electric tape. Wire nuts can wiggle lose and short out. As a certified mobile RV tech I tell all my clients, if you see a wire nut through some tape on them down onto wire at least one tape width.

“Mamma Mia!” How did you get Super Mario out to fix your pump? But seriously - good job Mike!

Check out Shurflo 182-200, it's an accumulator that has an air bladder inside. It eliminates the pulsing at the faucets and keeps the piping from vibrating in the walls as well. Also, if you dont open the faucet all the way, you can decrease the number of times the pump cycles on when you need just a little water, like brushing your teeth or rinsing dishes. I made a little plywood mount that holds the pump and the accumulator together as a module that is easily removable.

We put a little piece of carpet under our water pump it helps with the noise.

I've actually started using my pump more often since I realized that it makes 55psi and some campgrounds I've been at are below 30. Showers and dishes are much nicer with that extra pressure so sometimes I just use the hook up to fill the tank and use my pump. Plus, I never have to worry about the water in the tank getting stale if I'm always using it.

We had to replace our water pump a couple years ago, fortunately, it wasn't too bad. We added yoga map material around it to help it run quieter which was a game changer! Glad you guys were able to make a video, we couldn't get our camera in there. Oh well, haha! Happy camping!

I actually just replaced ours 2 weeks ago due to it making a lot of noise I didn’t want our neighbors at the campground to know I just flushed the toilet lol. It’s simple to do, and I actually have the same water pump as you do in our 2018 conquest supreme.

My water pump went out. it didn't stop working, but the bypass is leaking, and it was filling up my fresh water tank. So I just rebuilt it instead of buying a new one. For like 20 bucks. And most of the noise comes from the hoses that are touching the wood in the cabinets. if you can put some foam insulation around it or something that helps quiet it down👍🇺🇲

I picked up a spare water pump just in case mine ever goes out. I keep it with the other assorted spare parts, haha. Conveniently, they used Wago connectors to hook up the power on my camper, so the only tool required is a screwdriver to unscrew the old pump.

I have had to adjust the cutoff and bypass pressures on mine though. It's started stuttering if the water isn't on full blast. Picked up the spare pump in case that's a precursor to it dying.

Not a bad idea to have a backup!

Looks pretty easy I wouldn't hesitate to do this myself, just not sure how many screws I got holding my pump in place. might be a couple that are inaccessible at the back.

Great video. Did not look too hard, but definitely in a tight space. I’m surprised that you have not woken up to a buzzing noise under your nose. ;) stay safe.

wanna make that pump quieter... put a mouse pad under it. It'll give it a enough cushion to help quiet it down.

Today I replaced our 24 yr. old 2.8 gpm, 45 PSI Sureflow water pump with a spare 3 GPM, 55 PSI HydroMax pump we had on-hand. We just ordered a 6.5 GPM 15-70 PSI adjustable Goehner's pump to carry as a backup. It's always a good idea to have spare mission critical parts on-hand when boondocking a long way from civilization, as we're wont to do.
