Wow!…that garbage bag trick with the command hooks is so simple but absolutely genius! Running into my RV now to do just that. What a brilliant tip. Thank you!
Here is my tip... Learn to do your own RV maintenance and use a good car maintenance management program ( I use Automotive Wolf car care software ) to track and monitor it all. It also tracks all my parts, expenses and creates a detailed vehicle maintenance log. After RV'ing for over 10 years I've saved thousands by doing most of the maintenance myself and there is a lot of it on an RV! A small roof leak can cost you thousands in repairs so I check my roof at least twice a year. Keep on top of the maintenance and you'll save money and be RV'ing for years :)
Great tips! Another marriage saving hack is carry charcoal pills or Gas X etc. Any trailer is really a small space to live in and farting makes women angry and sometimes fly off handle mad. I’ve been kicked outside .
I liked these tips. Short and sweet. I had already turned my propane tank cover around, but to add extra security, I drilled small holes next to both sides the hinge and added cable ties, not too tight, just in case the hinges blow loose.
If your Tongue jack is like mine, by removing the fuse you removed anyway for power to get to your tongue track. This also prevents theft of your camper. If you watch the videos on how people are stealing campers so quick, they are putting the tongue jack on top of the ball and just driving away. By removing the fuse, they can’t activate your tongue jack and it’s just another hurdle in their way.
Pool noodles! So many uses for these inexpensive items! On our 5th Wheel Reflection, I can't tell you how many times I've hit my head on the corner of our bedroom slide which is located right next to our pass-through storage area. I cut two small sections of a pool noodle and place them on the two bottom corners, securing them with clips normally used for securing picnic table covers. This hack has saved me numerous "headaches"...
Thank you SO MUCH! WE are brand new to RV'ing and this was SO helpful. I'm going to go watch the essentials :) Appreciate you taking the time to help those of us who are new from making mistakes from lack of knowledge. AWESOME suggestions :)

Great video, Ross! I use wood blocks I had left over from a deck project under my stabilizers. When traveling I store them in the 5 gallon bucket used to cover the jack. I used a router to round the edges of the blocks to makes them easier to handle. I always look forward to your videos. Fellow 2150rb owner.
that works too! Great idea! I use the bucket to carry firewood sometimes. I used to use wood blocks under my stabilizers but after not using the blocks to level anymore, i wanted to either get rid of the wood or the blocks. the blocks won, the wood was free. Thanks for commenting Daryl.
@@RVTIPSANDTRAVELS I use the leveling blocks flipped upside down under my stabilizers, but I also have a wood block under my tongue-jack, because my jack doesn't have a foot, and the wood block is easier to replace when the jack inevitably cuts through it.
Ha, my college roommate would do the radio trick to help him sleep because I snorred to loud. Before he learned that trick, he would throw pennies at me. Thinking I would roll over on my belly and no longer snore. When I got up the next morning, pennies would be stuck to my body. My poor penny-pinching self would collect them in the shower.
Great idea’s, thanks. One thing we decided on, not really a hack but I never trusted the water holding tank for drinking, so we bring drinking water and use the holding tanks for showers, dishes, etc…
Can you do a video on permanent RV's in camp grounds? I am a new owner of a permanent RV in a campground resort. Many of your tips can be used on this type of RV I know, but would like to know what is different in maintenance of my type of RV & the travel RV's you talk about. Thanks!
3:37 Another idea is to use a thick binder type rubber band to hold the liner in place. Also, the smaller produce/meat type bags are better because they are less likely to leak.
I'm a new RV owner, flipping the propane tank cover is the first thing I did. It just made sense to flip it around just in case it wasn't latched completely the wind wouldn't flip it open on the road. It's just common sense.
Rubber bands to keep cabinets closed. I use a anchor cleaves for the oh no break cabel. It's made of stainless steel and the nut is held in place with a hitch pin. Use only one lp gas tank if you have two. This way when the tank is empty you have the second full one. Just remember to fill the empty one.
@@RVTIPSANDTRAVELS another topic you might consider is related to keeping absorption fridges cool. I’ve started having some problems and I installed a 2x titan fan at the top of my fridge cavity to help pull hot air out and I have been testing it with results showing it’s worse with the fans going. I’m wondering if it’s actually pulling fresh air from the top more than it’s pulling from below. Seems crazy but I’m tempted to either add more fans to completely cover the top 6x20 vent exhaust opening but not sure. Anyway, it might be a good topic in the future for you. Many of the other videos are all the same.
try using an grip pad.. we camp on some loose and rough surfaces and have never had an issue with sliding. here is what I use: ruclips.net/video/hD9QU5DCZqY/видео.html thanks for watching bud.
A lot of these types of videos are the same recycled ideas, this one was different, excellent ideas, will definitely implement a few of these in our rig. Thanks!
Finally, someone who has clearly thought out smart tips, tricks and how-to's and has the personality and expertise to present them properly. I just found your videos and we (my wife & I) are binge watching them all. We just pulled our (new to us) RV out of winter storage to do some updates, ....and there you are showing us how to do it all..... so all this to say.... THANK YOU ROSS!! ....We love your show!! Only downside I found to using dryer lint as fire starter is the hair in the lint. Burnt hair smells nasty, so that first part of the fire will have that lovely smell.
Thanks so much. My husband and I are looking at being first time RVer's. WEve been tent campers so all this is so helpful. I don't know if you have a video for tips for brand new RVers. Or going from tent to RV
Hi really like your video. I was wondering about the hooks you have on your sliding door to the bathroom are they just screwed in or did you have to use a anchor? Thanks
What are some of your favorite hacks? Or better yet, what are some things you wish there was a hack for that you haven't discovered yet? Comment below!
wow, 1st time in a long time I learned something I didn't know on an RV channel. And thanks for not trying sell me a membership to your rv cult or a mattress! Subscribed!
I use a drill and a lug nut to lower my jacks. Plus, look for leveling kits that are tall enough that you could change a tire. It’s saved me a few times with flat tires on the camper
Kevin, just 2x4's attached to 90 degree brackets screwed into the wall. i put them high enough to slide what i need underneath. then i just bungie cord them to the 2x4 so the dont move while traveling.

I do the marker light thing when im plugged in. Cool having all your lights on at night
Thanks for watching Tom.
As always, your content is above the rest. Thanks!!
Thanks bud, appreciated. Good to hear from you again.
Just seeing this, I’ll look into it bud.
Fantastic video, all the tips for great! Please make more.
Will do! Here’s another: RV Life Hacks & Tips - Simple, Cheap & Effective RV Camping Tricks

Comand hooks on the garbage can, brilliant! I love command hook hacks
May be a video topic in the future? Thanks Nic.
Great tips for when I finally go atraveling. 🙂 Right now I'm stationary, no tow vehicle right now.
My '99 Montana just isn't up to leaving the park.
Lots of great suggestions, thanks! Just curious but what kind of air filter / purifier do you use?
This is what I use Blake: amzn.to/3PIghqM
On the safety brake just use a hasp. Place the cable on the smaller end of the hasp and that will correct the problem.
Thanks! I gave up on the curved levelers because they slide on gravel, asphalt and concrete.
try using an grip pad.. we camp on some loose and rough surfaces and have never had an issue with sliding. here is what I use: ruclips.net/video/hD9QU5DCZqY/видео.html thanks for watching bud.
Fantastic hacks Ross! Couple we're aware of but... always good to have more.
Thanks. Giddy up.
Thanks Lee 🍻

Thanks Peter.
A lot of these types of videos are the same recycled ideas, this one was different, excellent ideas, will definitely implement a few of these in our rig. Thanks!
Thanks Jesse, its tough to come up with original ideas sometimes.
Great tips as always Ross! 👏
Paul, I responded to your pm, did you see it?
@@RVTIPSANDTRAVELS Hi Ross, no…I just checked and I missed your message somehow. I will respond right now.

It's the little things! Thanks Ross!

JP&Louise
Wow, thanks guys!!!
I love the bucket and command hooks for the garbage can. Great ideas!
Thank you! 😊
Yes, really like those 2 hacks. I will retire the jack cover with the bucket and hang my chains on the handle.
The white noise! Genius!
i can't sleep in silence lol.
New RV'er here. Thanks for the tips! Thumbs up and new subscriber 👍🏻
Thanks, Roberto!

Excellent 3yrs hauling a momentum and iam always learning more,
Thanks for the comment Kevin!
Hi really like your video. I was wondering about the hooks you have on your sliding door to the bathroom are they just screwed in or did you have to use a anchor? Thanks
My door is solid wood so no anchors needed. Here’s the hooks: amzn.to/3BZapUz
@@RVTIPSANDTRAVELS thank you!

When doing rock climbing we'd always say " screw down, so you don't screw up!" for carabiners!
8 feet off the ground and I'm useless. lol. The only place I am comfortable is on the RV roof, go figure.
What are some of your favorite hacks? Or better yet, what are some things you wish there was a hack for that you haven't discovered yet? Comment below!
We use stall mats cut into 9X9 to protect our Anderson Buckets from chipping if on gravel.
great idea!
Excellent tips!!

Were on the same page with checking the hot water heater. The element will fry in a matter of minutes.
Great mods and tips Ross
thanks Corey 🍻
Great tips!
Thanks Chuck
I use a drill and a lug nut to lower my jacks. Plus, look for leveling kits that are tall enough that you could change a tire. It’s saved me a few times with flat tires on the camper
great info, thanks for sharing!
Great practical tips. Thanks
Thank you Daniel.
Ross…how did you build the loft for your zero g chairs? BTW…really enjoy your channel!
Kevin, just 2x4's attached to 90 degree brackets screwed into the wall. i put them high enough to slide what i need underneath. then i just bungie cord them to the 2x4 so the dont move while traveling.
