Most icing problems on Samsung refrigerators have been attributed to unsealed ice machine compartments in the refrigerator. I’ve had 3-4 replacement machines but all 3 was a symptom of other un-noticeable problems. Second, the defrost heating coils kits behind the refrigerator compartment are too short in design. Also these kits have the short metal clip (too short in designs) above the drain for adequate temperature . Third, the digital compressor ( made in Korea ) uses 600A refrigerant with faulty restarts. Many customers have to unplug appliances for 3-5 minutes to plug it back in.
I’ve had these experiences with rising temperatures and found the compressor was humming and not circulating refrigerant. Upon the authorized technician replacement of the compressor, 3-way metering device and a new refrigerant dryer, this compressor was burnt inside with black oil & smell. But this refrigerator died within a year after heart surgery.
Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. I am happy to say that my bespoke flex models with the double ice makers have had no issues and have been working wonderfully for three years and counting. 🙌 Knock on wood. 🪵
That’s great but this fridge Ive commented about previously didn’t had problems until 3-4 years of purchase. I currently have a bespoke too and have added manual thermometers because these appliances display temperature doesn’t mirror the actual temperature inside.
@JohnSmith-pk5xg, try this turn off peak demand override, and the temperature will be exact.
@@JbTechFanatic Thanks for your prompt response. For clarification, I don’t have any problems with my Bespoke currently because it’s less than a month old and it’s not on demand response mode. My new replacement Bespoke refrigerator only have preset controls for temperatures inside the fridge app and SmartThings (similar to the other models customers claimed about). Regarding of the preset control settings, I am saying the refrigerator internal temperatures fluctuates and the display temperature in these apps are not accurate to fluctuations in all Samsung refrigerators . Manual thermometers affixed inside due to a known design issue
Brilliant video. I am sure it has dual compressors because there’s no way you have one compressor controlling three evaporator’s.

Thanks for the great review! We are seriously considering purchasing this particular refrigerator for our new kitchen because of the calendar we feature on the family hub screen. We do not care about many of the other features as we do not have particular interest in managing our entire life and home from our refrigerator and phone. However, to see a monthly calendar on our fridge day every day is very appealing and attractive to us. How does it work? Can we input appointments, highlight important dates (birthdays, etc.), times and schedules. If you can tell us how this feature can be used, we would be so grateful. Thanks again for this informative and detailed review of this particular refrigerator which is part of the collection that we think we may wish to purchase.

The great thing about it is it's it's amazing refrigerator and all the extras that you might not be interested in one day just might come in handy shopping list expired food and being able to look in your refrigerator at the store is something that you can't truly appreciate how useful it is until you try it😉 regardless it's a beautiful and great product let me know if you get one how you like it
Oh also, considering the internsl camera requires labels to be facing forward, it was a feature i could live without 😊

JB.....How is this fridge working? I currently have the 2018 Family Hub and am looking for a new one. Choice between the 23 cu ft and 29 cu ft. My curent one has the middle deli drawer which I like and has the water & ice dispenser on the left front door. I know you used to have similr but how did you find migrating to the new beverage center and ice dispenser? Any other issues you have identified? TIA
I actually like the 4 door flex with dual ice and beverage maker the most. It produces tons of ice and is my easier to keep organized than with the drawers in my opinion. But either is a great refrigerator. Definitely get the Bespoke if you like a customized look. The others I give to families in need and keep track of the performance all outstanding still working. Samsung appliances after 2018 are outstanding they sale millions of units a year and a very small amount can be defective and that can happen to every brand there is. Be aware of the issues those people are complaining about and what is different with this fridge. Moving the ice out of the fridge compartment and door is a HUGE deal. To me, it makes Samsung look like one of the only companies out there that actually care about quality and feedback and will redesign when necessary. During our research, we found that the #1 thing in fridge quality was getting the ice maker out of the door.

16:00 security would’ve been awesome if it also had an option to lock the refrigerator and freezer. I have my mom living with me and she dementia/Alzheimer’s and she always goes to the refrigerator looking for stuff…. And most of the time never even gets anything……. Maybe Samsung will see this and think it’s a good idea for 2.0 or even obese people keeping them out of the refrigerator. 🤷🏽

Yes I totally agreed with USMC, I believe this is only feature lacking in this refrigerator and locking screen with PIN.
You do have the option to set a pin for the screen under security in the settings. Also if you check out the bespoke with the drawers it has a squeeze lock that might be helpful. Video Review coming soon on that model. Hope this helps 🙏 ☺️

The refrigerator doesn't need the screen to work and you can still control through the app. But I still have my orginal 4 door flex 5 years screen still works like new. Tizen is what you want in this case as it's built for Samsung ecosystem also works with Apple products and I think android would be to big for it. Just my opinion. Yes the legs adjust the height. I have the 2017 version of the family hub fridge but thinking of getting a counter depth one like yours as I am having a new kitchen done. What do you do with your older model fridge? Mine still works perfectly but it's just not counter depth.

@kalpanasinha8045, try it this way: press "Settings," then "Display." Next, click the "Cover screen" to turn it on. Now, change the "Cover screen start" to 15 seconds and the "Cover screen duration" up to 2 hours. Make sure that your photos are set to your cover screen.

I have the 2018 flex smart hub and I just ordered the newest model, delivery date of Jan 2022. I still have several water filters for my 2018 model. Do you know if the filters are the same for the new model?

But there are so many varieties of the Flex it depends on what one you have now. But to be sure pop out your current filters look at the size. Then go on the actual Samsung website check your new model click specs and scroll down until you see filter size. Does that wine rack only come with the hub model? The product photos don’t show it on the bespoke model.

On Samsung website click on the refrigerator you are interested in then click specs. If it comes with the wine rack it will list it there. This is the best way to be sure😊
I purchased my refrigerator as on open box from Best Buy (Floor Sample) ... It is in "RETAIL MODE" and will not allow me to set up any of the settings. Is there a way to clear out the Retail Mode?
Thank you for watching and subscribing I'm thankful for your support . Here is how If you have a Samsung smart fridge, you can turn Cooling Off mode (Demo mode) on or off right from the Family Hub screen. The Fridge Manager app will show "OFF" in every compartment if Cooling Off mode is turned on.
On your Family Hub panel, navigate to Apps, and open the Fridge Manager app.
Tap Fridge Settings, and then tap Cooling Off.
Tap Deactivate or Activate, and then tap Proceed.
Cooling Off mode will activate, and "OFF" will appear in the Fridge Manager app. This should get you going also to completely reset your hub go to settings scroll down to bottom about Fridge the go to manufacturer reset and begin set-up 😉
can you tell me how much space you have between the wall and the fridge on the left side? I am putting mine into a space that is 39" wide and the left side of the fridge is countertop so that will stick out further than the counter, but the right side of the fridge is against a wall and I only have 1.5" of clearance. is the hinge going to hit the wall? how far does that hinge stick out when the door is opened straight out?

@@JbTechFanatic mine is the counter depth. Fridge is 28-29" deep and the wall next to the fridge is 33"-34 so the door will still be next to the wall. I know I have the width to put the fridge in it's spot, but the hinges start to purtrude as you open the door. I'm just looking to see if 1.5" is enough space on each side when doors are open.
Oh Gotcha.. you need 3 inches as the beverage center depth adds 1.5 in the doors 1.5in for a 3 inch total of clearance. But honestly the only way to really get it to work will be pulling the refrigerator all the way to the face of the front of the wall you have that way the door can open all the way and not smack your wall.
@@JbTechFanatic thanks I was thinking that might be the only solution. But I do have 39” total. I have a 36” cubby with 1.5” clearance on each side. So maybe it will work? If not I’ll do what you suggest and just pull it out far enough to clear the face of the wall. Thanks for your help! I’m hoping 72” height is good enough as well even with the hinges because my cabinet doors above are flush with the cupboard face. I need them to open and pulling the fridge forward won’t fix that issue lol

I just received my new model with 2 drawers. If you got the same one the scooper is hidden in between the white top ice cover and the ice tray take the tape off the front and way back in the drawer then the with cover will slide back and there the scooper lies I thought mine was missing to and just found it

A standard refrigerator water supply hose usually comes with the installation. But if you do it yourself I would definitely purchase one. Should be a simple 2 minute installation 😉😊

Yes but what year model comes into play also. 6.0 is the newest models but the software on many other has been updated to 6.0 aloe

The best way to check what is current is go directly to Samsung website they often don't list Discontinued items for sale. The most important thing is when the delivery company calls you for delivery tell them you want one manufactured June or later of this year. Then check the date apon delivery. This is the best method especially considering that different countries have slight variations. Black Stainless or Stainless steel. Mine is black Stainless

Second-we ordered recently same model which u shown in this video and it is counter depth I like the color and features but as on when the delivery guy delivered the item I was little disappointed with the size becoz I want counter depth refrigerator that fits exactly into my counter space which was given by builder,but unfortunately it is not fitting into it becoz it is having some camera stuff on top of the refrigerator,now becoz of this the actual counter space was wasted backside,now I’m thinking to replace this with standard size becoz though I bought counter depth it is Congress out from the space so I thought y can’t I buy a bigger one atleast I can store lot of stuff,here is a question 🙋♀️ if I buy standard one will it be same as per space wise?becoz the standard is more deeper than counter and I have space wasted in back side,plz let me know does the standard depth come too much outer side?

As far as the size I'm not sure I'm completely understanding. But counter depth is 23cu versus 29cu standard. If you get the same model meaning 4door flex than everything on the exterior size is the same except the depth. The difference in depth actually looks and feels substantially different. And the standard depth sticks out quite a bit more in a standard size kitchen layout. It sounds like you have deeper cupboards so it might be a wise upgrade. You get way more space inside the refrigerator in a standard depth so it's definitely worth having that if the size fit meets your needs😉

Biggest piece of shit I ever bought. Right at 4000 dollars for it, The Ice maker needs the factory to come out with a fix for it.
