@@dannywinget So what would you be changing it to? I'm trying to upgrade my smart home but the wifi router I'm using isn't really that strong and with all the smart tech it seems to lag.
I have a smart kitchen as well with the outlets, smart frig, but not the stove. I have Orbi with 7 satellites. I love the frig. When I’m at the store, I can check in the frig to see if I need to get eggs, milk, etc.
A friend of mine spotted one of my videos playing on your fridge so I had to check this out! Ha ha, that’s the first time I’ve seen my show being viewed on a kitchen appliance. I hope your kids enjoyed the show. :)
I feel your pain… I am in love with smart anything and the amazing future my great grand children will have with all this smart things… ugh I need a sponsor to provide me all the smart things in the market before I die…
Pretty nice-- however the microwave at knee level is a no-go for me. I use mine WAY too much to be bending 20x a day for that. Microwaves belong mounted above an oven. Sink was a cool demo-- but not really a necessity. MAYBE if you're handling raw chicken every single day I could see that being handy.
My air fryer came with my gas stove with confectionery also i never fry on top of my stove top anymore, in which keeps all grease off my tiles and counters and walls the food is healthy and tast GREAT!
Perfect timing! I'm remodeling my kitchen this year. I'm here for a smart kitchen. I love all the appliances and the kitchen faucet. Thanks so much for this video.
This probably is the best information video I've seen in the long time....Thanks for sharing. Definitely my next kitchen reno is going to start very soon...
Definitely enjoyed the tour! My quarantine project was setting up my home as a smart home. Some things are done, but definitely a work in progress. Keep the smart home videos coming!
Smart stuff are nice to have, but don't forget, the more smart things you have the more vulnerable you are. Since those IOT devices have a firmware, you may have a backdoor somewhere and that makes you and your family vulnerable to hackers.
@@godchaser39 In your case you are married to a nerd, and your husband knows what he is doing. I'm a nerd myself, but the majority of people will only connect their devices to the network and forget about it.
Whats the point of a smart plant if you have to check on it to keep it alive. It should be connected to the water system and automatically fed via the app
Hey guys... I may have missed it but Danny do you have any videos on networking? I love your videos of smart appliances but what about supporting the connectivity of things in a multilevel house or house with dead zones? How many wireless APs do you have or ethernet connections? Just curious...
Amazing video !! I'm buying my house end of this year and I'm looking for smart stuff. For the rice cooker (I'm no expert on rice :') so it may be useless for you), I saw the Xiaomi Rice Cooker, it seems pretty good. And my favourite ones-> Shower by Moen and bed by Sleepnumber :D. If you have one of those or planning to have, I'll love to see your review, you do pretty good reviews :D
I have the newer Samsung smart fridge. With the current update it broke the integration with the Ring doorbell (which Samsung and ring are currently trying to fix). You can view the doorbell but it use to automatically pop up when someone rang the bell. Over all the fridge to me is cool. The screen is fun and the camera feature does come in hand when you want to take a look inside. There is a feature where it recognizes different foods but that’s still in its learning stages. You can teach the fridge to learn foods as well and adding expiration dates. The biggest grip I have about the Samsung fridge is the ice maker. It takes up a lot of space and I wish they could have designed it better. It can over freeze the ice and cause the maker to get damaged. It’s good to check the tray every now and then to prevent that. I usually dump ice in my own ice tray and put in it in the freezer for easy grabs . Not a deal breaker for me but something to know. Samsung Smart Hub will also start integration with google as well this new year. So I may consider moving to the nest doorbell once all integration is completed just to see if there is a difference. For me I give the fridge 4 out of 5. Great video!!!!! Is your dishwasher smart enabled? Can you start it through SmartThings?
Please tell me the name of the dishwasher and microwave and the oven I'm struggling trying to find them. I believe the fridge is a samsung 27.7 cu. Ft. Family hub. And the oven is a samsung flex duo. Am I correct. If so then I need to look about the others now I'm hook
Hi Holly mentioned you can have counter depth and not sacrafice on size. Does the counter depth have less storage? I need a new refrigerator. Thank you
I had choice to buy Samsung smart refrigerator. But I felt Kitchen should be more of family space without a lot of tech or distractions. I have smart dishwasher, range and microwave, which are useful for changing setting and troubleshoot any problem. Maybe it’s all about personal preferences.
Pray this prayer to be saved dear God I know that I am a sinner I repent of my sins I accept Jesus as my personal Lord and Savior in Jesus Name I know Jesus died for my sins and rose from the deadAMEN
Love your kitchen! The only thing I would politely disagree is “ to never buy Samsung appliances”. Worse mistake of my life when I did that when I moved in my house! I do love your concept of smart kitchen! Thanks for sharing guys 😁👍
Thanks Danny...great info. I recently swtched my home from Google to Amazon....except for my master and my office which are HomeKit.....I do like the google nest mesh wifi and will keep that. Hope y’all have a great Christmas and new year👋🏼
@@dannywinget I never thought to use the Nest Hub Max as a security camera. I would've bought one for the Black Friday deals. My regular Nest Hub is basically in the same spot in my kitchen and can see so much which makes it a great security cam.
Danny, following your videos for quite some time and its very informative and detailed...I wantes to ask how is the Samsung family hub performing for you? Few online reviews had some negative feedback on the ice dispenser....I was inspired to get 1 by seeing this video but now second guessing....whats your recommendation?
We always debate if we would go to the Samsung smart fridge since we also have the Nest Hub Max. Do we need another screen in the kitchen? That stove though! Now I'm hoping that my current stove craps out so I have an excuse to change it. Lastly, want that faucet! Great video guys! thanks.
Thanks! If the Samsung Fridge had Google Assistant built in you wouldn’t need another screen at all. I find myself being at the fridge a lot more than being where the Hub Max is so all the information is perfect centralized in the kitchen. I highly recommend it because it’s a nice fridge on its own. The smart functionality just makes it better.
Don’t Samsung is terrible for parts - LG too - compressors fail - Ice Makers are slow and pain to use - Our Local Repairmen who came to service our kitchen aid oven - new house - just a maintenance check showed us the amount of service requests for Samsung and LG Kicthen Appliances - It was crazy bad - compressors failing and dishwasher fails - We had a Samsung Fridge before and ice machine broke 6 months and never was able to get it fixed
Great video showing the Samsung ecosystem. I'm actually remodeling our kitchen and was thinking about the exact same range/hood combo. According to the Samsung site they should work together, thoughts on why they don't? If they really don't then I might as well save $600 and get the regular hood.
They were only meant to work with the flat cook tops. I would save your money if you are looking for the connectivity side of things but it’s a great hood on its own though.
Very interesting . Thanks! A couple of extra additions that may be of your interest: 1. GE induction café series compatible with Hestan Cue pans and pots. 2. Thermomix TM6.
I love the video! That phone charger outlet is now my next purchase! 😆 I've been slowly turning my 1950s home into a smart home. All your videos have taught me so much!
What a great tour! The the fridge was my favourite, love that you can quickly look into it, as well as getting notifications for anything that will be expiring. Very handy.
Danny I loved your video. However, I have two questions. I was wondering have you had problems with hacking? I’ve seen a news report from one of the major networks about someone hacking into a family’s smart home and was literally talking to their child. I’m so nervous about setting up a smart home. Secondly, I saw a video that stated that its best to have an Android phone in order to utilize all the features on the Samsung Hub refrigerator. Is that true? I have an Apple Iphone.
What do you think of the Smart Kitchen Tour? What are some of your favorites? Overkill or perfect?
What kind of wireless router are you using, if you don't mind me asking?
Right now I am using the WiFi 6 Orbi Mesh. I need to change it though.

Is the freezer handle supposed to be able to move up and down with minimal effort?
I prefer electric over gas. Gas soots up the base of the saucepans. UK
