I’ve got the 4 door version. When I was shopping, I was wondering if it was worth the price tag, so I thought i’d share my post-purchase thoughts. I’m a very frugal person... my wife is not. The design on this thing makes it a beautiful addition to our kitchen. We have black stainless steel appliances & this fridge looks great. The family hub screen lets your personalize the fridge,l to fit your lifestyle. It can give you that streamline modern contempt look, or be as family focussed as you want. My kids draw funny pics, write encouraging messages & reminders to each other, etc. It gives us that “magnet of the fridge” without the messy look. I haven’t had any issues with a bunch of little fingerprints or stains, and my kids out their hands on EVERYTHING in this house. Still wondering why I have fingerprints on my baseboards. Smh The space inside is massive. The fridge fits in the same space as my old one, but the interior design gives you more options so things don’t look so cluttered. With the 4 door model, you can customize the temp on the 2 freezers at the bottom. Which means 1 can be converted to a deep freezer, or a crisper, or whine cooler, etc. It is a little weird having the freezer below your waist, so you if you have back or knee issues that might be problematic. My kids are 8 & 10, and sometimes they have problems reaching things in the back of the fridge with the tiered shelving. Sometimes they have to open the freezer, so they can get a better reach. Now, if you’re going to invest in this fridge, and cost is a big issue, then I would say you should really invest in learning how the features work. I’m tech savy, but spend more time than I should trying to get things to link with Alexa, and the food identifier to correctly identify the labels. It sometimes seems foolish to spend so much time trying to figure out the features of a refrigerator, but once you do it makes things a lot simpler. Being able to pull up a recipe from Pinterest & not worry about getting food all over my phone /tablet is great. My wife and I don’t do enough “family cooking”, which means 1 person usually cooks while the other manages kids, bills , etc. Being able to mirror the tv or music to the fridge means you don’t have to miss out on the movie or ask “what did they just say” so much. It’s not just a extravagant feature, you still get the feel of being involved in the moving or show while cooking. We left the film on the screen, so not worried about dirtying up the screen. We just wipe it like cell phones. The interior camera is a little limited in what you can see. Obviously you can’t see what’s in the drawers, but sometimes it’s hard to see what’s on backs or ends of the shelves. The door drawers limit the full view. So you have to be intentional about how you stage the fridge. Being and to be able to link & store recipes and quickly add expiration reminders and create grocery lists is a great feature. It’s not essential, but makes things a lot simpler. We no longer worry about milk & other foods going sour or leftovers being waisted because we forgot they were in there. With a touch of the screen, you can easily click on an item & set a reminder for expiration. We ended up using The Ring camera & door dash & host of other services more than I thought we would. It’s helped us detach from phones. I don’t constantly have to have my phone in my pocket to manage my home. My recommendation, is that it’s a great fridge, and is worth the price tag if you really take the time to explore the features. It’s like having the latest smart phone. They are worth the price if you really unlock their capabilities. Overall, I don’t have any buyers remorse. Sure we could’ve gotten a good fridge for less, but we are blessed to be able to afford it and still be financially responsible. I am gonna miss yelling “close the refrigerator, are you trying to cool down the whole neighborhood???!!!”. The fridge chimes when the door is open longer than 2 min.

I've had one for 4 months, the 3 door french style. The part they don't tell you is that the refrigerator camera doesn't always scan items accurately so if you can't see it well, it won't always show up correctly on the list. It also doesn't scan the produce bins well but in some weird way still seems to know what you have in there or even know what you have in the door, like ketchup! I do not know how, but I have seen it happen. It is definitely a cool feature but could use some updating. A fixed camera on the inside rear of the refrigerator would be a great help in getting a fuller scan. It would also be nice if there was a camera on the LCD display. Again, nice feature but as expensive as they are, shouldn't be too hard to add a selfie cam! Bixby seems to be very sensitive when active but can be selective about who it responds to (registered users). Freezer is great in size, a little different than this one but I actually RECOMMEND the 3 door if you are big on freezer space. His seems rather small. THE WATER thing IS really THE WORST part. Taste greeaatt but comes out slooooowwww as heck. Definitely make sure you have good water pressure and try to get a shorter length water line. We got the recommended 10 foot and that could have something to do with it but it's annoying as hell having to wait almost 2 minutes just to fill a 16 oz water bottle or solo plastic cup. Oh, and fyi, their great for watching videos on RUclips and listening to music on Amazon and Spotify but this isn't something you'll be able to like download Netflix on. It's DOPE AF but can be rendered basic in some areas. *I'm aware that different models may offer different technology.*
I sort of like the idea of having the weather and shopping list on there, but I imagine whatever OS they have on there will age pretty quickly. Our $1800 Samsung fridge just died completely after 6 years (oh yeah we put $500 into trying to get it fixed). They should spend there money trying to perfect the refrigerator before trying to add this other technology that will probably just break as well.

I have the previous generation of this fridge, the one without the screen and we all love it. I already paid more for the one I have. I don't see a reason why not buying it after the one I have retires, it still looks brand new after 5 years :) Love it.

Keith Bell Yes, the ice gets caught up easily and is extremely loud while dropping into the basket. I do love the hub but I truly haven’t used as much as I thought I would. It’s a very attractive refrigerator but I wish I used the hub more.
I like it , I have a question : Can you ask it to open the door and it will open on it's own? Because that destroys the purpose of a smart fridge if it doesn't open by-itself

Great video. I've had this refrigerator for about 8 months and had no clue that shelf folds up. I had to pause the video and flip it up, then stand there in amazement...lol I have been storing my tall containers on the side that slides back which blocks everything behind it. @ Apple only has ios and macOS products which is only intended for work or tech use sure android doesn't have the best software but they do have alot of technology such as tv, fridges, microwaves, phones, desktops, etc. I'm sure if Apple does this thry will have less time and worse quality than their previous or next product. But apple is significantly better for work use.

I had purchased Samsung smart refrigerator 2 months back. It is perfect one meetings our all expectations/requirements. Wonderful masterpiece of its own type. Suited full requirements of our family of 7 members. This model is worth buying. Service of highly appreciable and is beyond expectations .
just wait another year when the ice maker craps out on you and your kitchen floor is flooded. Maybe your "smart" fridge could call a Samsung repairman, if any existed.
Great vid thanks. I just got a Samsung appliance package at Home Depot and I am super impressed with the quality. (I had a lemon of fridge before and replaced all the contents 3 times because the compressor kept going out. the 10 Warranty had a big sway on me. I also LOVE the oven that matches this fridge. It's not smart or integrated but it does a beautiful job cooking pastry. Samsung has really upped their game. I'm a fan.

I have the 2019 biggest size version of this. I can say after all these years it's still running nicely but! I don't like how it doesn't seem to keep things fresh long as my old samsung without the fancy tablet. With that being said I sold everything I owned except this fridge to downsize into a tiny home...with a big big fridge (I had a family of 8 till 2020) I do recommend the fridge.

Keith Bell Yes, the ice gets caught up easily and is extremely loud while dropping into the basket. I do love the hub but I truly haven’t used as much as I thought I would. It’s a very attractive refrigerator but I wish I used the hub more.
I like it , I have a question : Can you ask it to open the door and it will open on it's own? Because that destroys the purpose of a smart fridge if it doesn't open by-itself

So far I love its features, Getting one in our home in a few days. I will report what I think of it when I have had it for while... I think its awesome and seems like its going to be very helpful in my kitchen... most of all I won't be stuck in the kitchen with nothing to do...watch movies or listen to music while I cook :)

Maybe I missed it but there’s also an option of locking the water dispenser from the screen it’s sooo handy for when there’s guests and have little kids that like to play with the water or ice😁another feature I loved is connecting Ring doorbell to the fridge especially when im cooking and when somebody rings the bell it automatically shows me on the screen.
Sold! That was a VERY informative video on the Samsung Family Hub Smart Fridge. The best I have seen and don't believe I need to view another description. I was leaning more towards the LG model but I am an owner of a Samsung cellphone so it would make sense to go with Samsung. Thank you for doing this video. I did hear that Samsung is phasing out Bixby. Great job!!

Great video. I've had this refrigerator for about 8 months and had no clue that shelf folds up. I had to pause the video and flip it up, then stand there in amazement...lol I have been storing my tall containers on the side that slides back which blocks everything behind it. Thanks alot for that tip.

is it just me that thinks this looks incredibly cheap like a super cheap tablet strapped ontop is it an oled panel is the resolution high enough
even with all the metal around it the screen still manages to have those thick bezels
@ Apple only has ios and macOS products which is only intended for work or tech use sure android doesn't have the best software but they do have alot of technology such as tv, fridges, microwaves, phones, desktops, etc. I'm sure if Apple does this thry will have less time and worse quality than their previous or next product. But apple is significantly better for work use.

I had purchased Samsung smart refrigerator 2 months back. It is perfect one meetings our all expectations/requirements. Wonderful masterpiece of its own type. Suited full requirements of our family of 7 members.
This model is worth buying. Service of highly appreciable and is beyond expectations .
just wait another year when the ice maker craps out on you and your kitchen floor is flooded. Maybe your "smart" fridge could call a Samsung repairman, if any existed.

Great vid thanks. I just got a Samsung appliance package at Home Depot and I am super impressed with the quality. (I had a lemon of fridge before and replaced all the contents 3 times because the compressor kept going out. the 10 Warranty had a big sway on me. I also LOVE the oven that matches this fridge. It's not smart or integrated but it does a beautiful job cooking pastry. Samsung has really upped their game. I'm a fan.

I have the 2019 biggest size version of this. I can say after all these years it's still running nicely but! I don't like how it doesn't seem to keep things fresh long as my old samsung without the fancy tablet. With that being said I sold everything I owned except this fridge to downsize into a tiny home...with a big big fridge (I had a family of 8 till 2020) I do recommend the fridge.
