  • At CES 2024 in Las Vegas, Electronics giant SAMSUNG introduced their new line up of Bespoke AI Family Hub appliances. The new AI fridge not only keeps inventory of what you put in and take out with its camera system but it can connect to other appliances and streamline things like cooking, shopping lists, keeping track of expiring foods. The large connected screen can also be a source of entertainment with a huge selection of apps including RUclips and full browsing capabilities. The Bespoke AI refrigerator is only one of several new appliances for 2024 that include a new induction cook top and washer and dryer.
The Samsung Bespoke Smart Hub fridge is an innovative appliance that merges advanced technology with customizable design options to enhance the user experience. Here's how it generally works:
Customization: One of the key features of the Samsung Bespoke Smart Hub fridge is its customizable design. Users can choose from various options for the exterior panels, including different colors, textures, and finishes. This allows the fridge to seamlessly integrate into any kitchen decor or personal style.
Smart Connectivity: The Bespoke Smart Hub fridge is equipped with smart technology, enabling it to connect to Wi-Fi networks and communicate with other smart devices in the home. This connectivity allows users to control the fridge remotely using their smartphones or voice commands through virtual assistants like Bixby.
Interior Flexibility: Beyond just the exterior, the interior of the fridge is also customizable and flexible. Users can adjust the shelves, drawers, and compartments to suit their storage needs and preferences. This flexibility ensures efficient use of space and easy organization of food items.
Built-in Display: The fridge features a built-in touchscreen display on the door, providing easy access to various functions and information. Users can use the display to check the temperature, manage settings, create shopping lists, stream music or videos, and even leave notes or reminders for family members.
Food Management Features: The Bespoke Smart Hub fridge offers advanced food management features to help users keep track of their groceries and minimize waste. It may include features like internal cameras that allow users to remotely view the contents of their fridge, expiration date tracking, and automatic inventory management.
Energy Efficiency: Samsung pays attention to energy efficiency in its appliances, including the Bespoke Smart Hub fridge. Smart sensors and algorithms help optimize energy usage, ensuring that the fridge operates efficiently while minimizing power consumption.
Integration with Samsung Ecosystem: The fridge seamlessly integrates with other Samsung smart devices and services, allowing users to create a connected ecosystem within their home. This integration enables features like syncing calendars, receiving cooking recommendations based on available ingredients, and controlling smart home devices from the fridge's display.
Overall, the Samsung Bespoke Smart Hub fridge offers a combination of customization, connectivity, and smart features to provide users with a convenient and personalized food storage solution for their homes.

knowing its a Samsung, the bigger question is will the software be upgradable for this fridge with new features or a dead end like their previous smart hub based fridges?

This is cool in theory but 1) I throw all my fruit into the crisper drawer in a big pile and 2) The fridge can only recognize 33 foods. Not useful, but a like many things at CES, perhaps a good indication of what's to come of future tech that could be useful one day. 3) I don't want to live in a world where people stand in front of their fridge watching TikTok on the door

Can recognize a lot more than 33 foods. Bigger grouped things maybe not at this time but I tried different things and didn’t even take my time to just grab them out or put to en in and it was accurate every time which I was surprised. Also if it doesn’t recognize an item, remember it’s going to the cloud and referencing the internet for similar items, you can just custom label it. At this time when I asked , they weren’t sure if it was using AI learning for future uses.

I can appreciate the technology, just hard to imagine anyone wanting one other than as a showpiece. Maybe there is a use case I can't think of.

I always thought it was a gimmick myself but have to admit, we waste a lot of food in our household and many times it’s beside we forget about certain foods and by the time we go to eat it , it’s expired or rotten. Life gets so busy that we don’t realize how many ways go by.

@@EverydayReviews2022 Ah. Gotcha. My family we make sure to always make our meals based on the oldest things in the refrigerator so haven't run into that but I get it.

@@patrick7228 yes you do what should be done. Ideally I’d like that to happen but most of the time it doesn’t. Also sometimes I night buy some things that we may already have but since I’m not sure I just buy them and then realize that we’ve doubled up. Being able to access a realtime inventory could be beneficial. Who knows. Could just be another screen to watch RUclips 😂

The funny part is the people that can afford these appliances probably aren't going to be cooking for themselves

    • @EverydayReviews2022
      @EverydayReviews2022  4 месяца назад +4

Absolutely not. My last stove and fridge were Subzero Wolf unfortunately it went with the house when we sold it. We make 95% of all our meals and love cooking. Most people that have a passion for cooking will spend the money for good appliances as long as they can afford it. I see all these as disposable compared to my old 20 year old SubZero. Most of this stuff last maybe 10 years. I still want one though because we have Bosch right now which is more expensive but I hate it and can’t wait to get into something else. Bosch will be a garage fridge after that
