just name Montezuma Monica. Eureka u can name Erica I use the pattern numbering my engines after the order they show in the store so Betsy is nr 1 Betsy 2.0 is nr 2 and so on. And if u buy a Shay plz name it Liza. pretty sure the waiting shed is a place for passenger to stand in when waiting for a train at a train station
Each spline section has a fixed number of "straight edges". The reason your train was "hunting" is because you have a really long spline section in that turn so all the straight edges of track that make up the circle are also longer and your train wobbles every time it hits a new edge. Try cutting up the spline into multiple smaller splines (same 30m radius) and you'll see a much smoother corner because all the straight edges also get smaller
You should name the Eureka the “Archimedes” after the story’s of how Archimedes shouted it when he discovered buoyancy while in his bath ( He then proceeded to run down the hall naked shouting Eureka!)
Yes please this was such a funny story and it's the first thing I thought of when he asked for names for the Eureka. It would both be fitting and funny.
If you look at the three way. It makes sense as to why it wouldn’t spring back. It’s actually closer in function to a turntable over a regular point based switch. Edit: The Woodricks automatically refill with wood. It’s kinda OP, but hey, what you gonna do?
The three-way stub point's hinge placement is the opposite to normal two-way points. The rails that move face away from you, whereas the point blades on the 2 way face towards you, hence why the levers are in different positions relative to the blades/rails
When you suggested naming engine #2 the "Drop a Deuce" it made me think of the game Brutal Legend. In that game the main character's car is officially called "The Deuce" but for comedic story reasons he also refers to it as "The Druid Plow"
What they should have done on those little logging cars is had each of the visual logs be a half log. So when a full log gets loaded onto the car, it takes up 2 spots. Then when you unload, it only gives you half a log per unload.
You can force a new Line in the Text Fields of the Locomotives and Tenders Name by including a . Maybe you can fit the whole name onto the next one in 2 lines.
Hand-operated two way switches (in the UK anyway) were always designed to be run through if the switch is trailing (as opposed to facing) to your direction of travel for exactly the reason you like them - it's convenient when switching in yards. What you call "spring loaded" is really just the leading wheelset pushing the switch rails over to either the normal or reverse position i.e. wherever it wants them to go. Confusingly there are also actual spring loaded points which will return to their normal position after the wheels have passed through them, these are usually used in open or catch points to deliberately derail a train if it rolled back or tried to pass through them in the wrong direction.
i like using the signs you can write on, and I put them next to all my switch stands with something like "CORD / LOGS" for instance next to the logging camp, just so i know where each direction goes. some system like that might help with your Sawmill switch bundle
Hi kan I love your videos I'm even using the last of my data to watch this video on a 3 hour car journey (I live in England and that's like half the country in 1 journey
The Montezuma's whistle sounds basically like a Great Western or Somerset & Dorset whistle, if you think its high pitched you've never heard a Kerr Stuart Wren whistle or a French whistle. There's one French pacific that has a whistle, that I can only compare to a puppy having its tail stepped on 😢
The 3-way is a type of switch known as a Stub Switch IRL, if it was set against you, you’d go in the dirt, because you’re basically running off the end of track
When you want to buy an engine - Press "G", then go left and it will take you to the Lima Loco at the end of the list. That way you don't have to go through everything to get what you want.
Does your calculation factor in the weight of the loco itself? Anyway I got the Montezuma as my starting engine and it's a wonderful ride, just about able to pull 2 loaded 4-axle stake flats (with lumber) up the 3% line I built. Also 6 small flats with seed pallets up the 4% I built to the farm, tho the products there really dom't make much money (like 5 a piece) so it's not worth it to do it just yet
Could you consolidate all your rails and maybe make an easier transition or even to turn around by making a round-a-bout where you started at the beginning of the video?
If you do lose a train you can catch back up to it by flying after it in industry build mode (use shift to fly faster) - it goes much, much faster than even the Eureka at top speed. Also useful if you want to scout out terrain or fly along a track to pre-set your switches.
Eureka… fun History fact: Eureka Utah was the birth place of Frank Joseph Zamboni jr., who invented the Zamboni Ice Resurfacing Machine. So Zamboni as a name for an engine named Eureka seems fitting.
Let me know, I'm about to head back down to southern Az in a few weeks; if you want a few pics of Bisbee, Az I'm taking the camera with me. There are some really cool shots to be had, for a mining town thing. I don't remember if/where any rail system might be, but the imagery of a mining town might be cool if/when you get around to decorating this map (or the next one).
Another ease of life change, if you include telegraphs along you routes at regular intervals along the route then you don't have to chase trains you just pop over to the next telegraph and jump aboard.
From my testing today I found out locomotives with a driver can handle 100mph on a 400m radius curve (achieved by modifying the game) and for cars the long cars with drivers can handle those speeds too, but those small cars and the porter start freaking out at 70 mph so if you ever start getting to those speeds you know what to watch out for
nice, i usually have to throw mine down a steep mountain to get over 100 would be handy for my jump map builds to be able to go fast instantly... any tips on what to edit?
hmm... name the Eureka "Kart" or "Cart", so that way when the tender has "SHART" the engine has "Cart" or "Kart", making it the "Shart-Kart/Shart-Cart" :)
None of em are springloaded, you just throw them in a other direction by driving thru them the wrong way, springloaded would go back in its old position
Actually that could be a really cool idea. Build the entire area as one big roundabout with all the Ys coming off it. Would be more functional that way as well.
What should we name the Eureka? Going to be the next engine to buy I think based on the prices.
the 'please dont bin me'
Bob
Hmm. Considering the class name... how about the : 'Grand Idea Track'? (G.I. tract) going with the name of the railroad as inspiration
just name Montezuma Monica.
Eureka u can name Erica
I use the pattern numbering my engines after the order they show in the store so Betsy is nr 1 Betsy 2.0 is nr 2 and so on.
And if u buy a Shay plz name it Liza.
pretty sure the waiting shed is a place for passenger to stand in when waiting for a train at a train station
Name it 'G. I. Joe'

4:42 The firewood shed auto refills Kan so just place and that's it!
What is that black magic? The firewood is a witch, burn it!
Yeah, but the immersion. The Immersion!!!
Besides, cheap wood doesn't burn cleanly and ruins the flues.
Trust me, I know what I'm talking about.
Any wood type is taken at the firewood depot. So. Stake flats, cordwood cars
You should name the Eurika ‘Wahoo!’ As eurika they are synonyms and you’re really excited for 30mph
You should name the Eureka the “Archimedes” after the story’s of how Archimedes shouted it when he discovered buoyancy while in his bath ( He then proceeded to run down the hall naked shouting Eureka!)
I second this
Plus Archimedes is just a cool sounding name
Yes please this was such a funny story and it's the first thing I thought of when he asked for names for the Eureka. It would both be fitting and funny.
Was just about to suggest this
I'm not quite sure that's what he discovered at all but I agree 😂
i suggest calling the Eureka "Archimedes" from the exclamation attributed to Archimedes on discovering a method for determining the purity of gold

@QuarionGalanodel As a duce myself, I second that idea.
What they should have done on those little logging cars is had each of the visual logs be a half log. So when a full log gets loaded onto the car, it takes up 2 spots. Then when you unload, it only gives you half a log per unload.
A waiting shed would be for rural passenger service, often where there's no proper station and only a flag stop.
What’s up my man you are my fav RUclipsr and also keep making these videos they are great! Love Gunz!
You can force a new Line in the Text Fields of the Locomotives and Tenders Name by including a . Maybe you can fit the whole name onto the next one in 2 lines.
Wait really? I wonder how much HTML you can incorporate in it then, like does it accept any HTML, or just a very few select tags? xD
18:05 There's an option in audio settings to play sound in the background if you don't want it to cut out
You should have called the Montezuma "Hyce's Monday"
I can't believe you put "Shart" on the tender, I love it! Lol

Bro your the reason I bought this game. Keep up the great work and have a good day :)
wow great new engine, i bet the beam asked the pilot are you jealous of that cowcatcher ;)
Kan my man with another banger railroad online video
I absolutely love these videos. Keep up the good work.😂
Oh thanks, this is perfect! (I wanted to watch something around when this released and it's exactly what I wanted 😅)
I know it has only been four days, but I am already excited for the next episode, so here I am, rewatching this one 🙂
i like using the signs you can write on, and I put them next to all my switch stands with something like "CORD / LOGS" for instance next to the logging camp, just so i know where each direction goes. some system like that might help with your Sawmill switch bundle
AMAZING VIDEO ONCE AGAIN
For the roads use the dirt fill to make the paths.
Mazda is probably my favorite car company, I think the Montezuma will be my favorite engine for this reason
The way he didn’t know the synonym for waiting station makes me so crazy. Like I am genuinely not ~stable~
I wonder if a future update will add different scale railroads and engines
Hi kan I love your videos I'm even using the last of my data to watch this video on a 3 hour car journey (I live in England and that's like half the country in 1 journey
Everyone in Australia says Mazda the way you do. So I think Hyce is wrong :)
Should have bought the Glenbrook or class 48, both beautiful engines
Could name it Mustang? Keep the automotive theme going plus it is a speedy boi
The Montezuma's whistle sounds basically like a Great Western or Somerset & Dorset whistle, if you think its high pitched you've never heard a Kerr Stuart Wren whistle or a French whistle. There's one French pacific that has a whistle, that I can only compare to a puppy having its tail stepped on 😢
LETS GOOOOOOOOO MORE RAILROADS ONLINE!!!!!!!!!!!!💯🤟🔥🤟💯🤟🔥💯🤟💯🔥💯🤟💯🔥

LETS GOO🎉🎉My favorite locomotive in Railroads Online
Hey Kan, u Can "Speedwalk" when going in construction mode, press v so du dont have the construction in the face all the time, and go on ;)
Does your calculation factor in the weight of the loco itself?
Anyway I got the Montezuma as my starting engine and it's a wonderful ride, just about able to pull 2 loaded 4-axle stake flats (with lumber) up the 3% line I built. Also 6 small flats with seed pallets up the 4% I built to the farm, tho the products there really dom't make much money (like 5 a piece) so it's not worth it to do it just yet
the Eureka can haul more than twice the weight uphill that the Montezuma can. assuming you don't go steeper than 2.5% grades.
Could you consolidate all your rails and maybe make an easier transition or even to turn around by making a round-a-bout where you started at the beginning of the video?
Hey Kan are you and Hyce planning another coop series? Cheers for the vids mate
New video ideas:
- Cordwood Haul to the smelter
- Iron Ore Haul to the smelter
- Buy the Shay
- Extension to the farm
If you do lose a train you can catch back up to it by flying after it in industry build mode (use shift to fly faster) - it goes much, much faster than even the Eureka at top speed.
Also useful if you want to scout out terrain or fly along a track to pre-set your switches.
14:20 - "Oh my god we have somuchmoMENTUM-STAAAPPP!!!" Lol
12:13 those sheds are actually passenger shelters thus why they’re called waiting sheds
Every playthrough, buying the Montezooma is immediately regretted
You could name the Eureka the magic tender. In memory of your first one.
You should name the Eureka gutless as a tribute to your first Eureka
you should hook up with Aardvark Gaming
TRAIN GAME WOOOO!
5:10 i thought cordwood is what filled them based off when you played with Hyce.
1:58 that’s all my industry’s lol
u could add sighns at sawmill telling the driver witch branch line there going on for example if its the iron ore line it should say "IRON ORE"
Eureka Number 2 if we're going with a poop theme defiantly needs the name EureCaca.
You should look up the Channel of The evil one. His crew built 3 cities so far and it looks stunning.
Yes Mazda, bring back the RX8!
Drop a deuce or smth like that would be a W name ngl 😂
Dinkleberg96 I pitty the fool that trys to drop me. Wankle with a pro-iron port grind, and twin tubos. Lets go.
Einstein for the Eureka is my suggestion
1:01
You can switch out the 2 switches for a more gradual turn
I guess you didn't see my suggestion last episode to buy the Eureka instead :P
Two-Tea-Fruity cause it’s number two.
You should have Mrs. kAN help you with the town decorating.
the 3 way switch lever also goes the opposite way to the other switches which is incredibly confusing
Did you use sand on the climb?
Eureka name: KAN GONE
This probably a ease of life suggestion, but you have a telegraph on one switch. Would it not be helpful to have one near every switch?
Another ease of life change, if you include telegraphs along you routes at regular intervals along the route then you don't have to chase trains you just pop over to the next telegraph and jump aboard.
As an Aussie we usually say "mazz da" like Kan, not "mahz duh". It's the US that says it weird 😂
@rapidraposa7327 Strange how the US say it the way that the guy from Japan that built the Mazda name, pronounced the name him self.
I think you an hyce need to check out railroaders together, comes out Dec 7th in early access
i found a perfect combo of power and load 16 small log cars and the eureka is the perfect combo of speed and power
Man, kAN really misses Hyce... Don"t worry, so do we
If the Eureka is gonna be Engine No.2, she should be named: The Just In Time.
Maybe you can loop back the lumber mill unload to land so you don’t have to unload only a few cars at a time
You should call the Eureka I got it because people say Eureka when they have a idea
Buy the Eureka and name her "Palisade" (that was the real Eureka's sister locomotive, E&P #5)
@kangaming the shay should be Porschay, like Porsche
ooh i was quick
i love the new monte
I think the firewood car might be a special item you can unlock, I don't know, I'm just saying
Sir the firewood car is the cord wood car. You fill them with cord wood and it changes it to firewood
Montezuma should be named “The Full Monty”
Kan the firewood shed automatically resupply themselves there is no need to move firewood from a tender to them
From my testing today I found out locomotives with a driver can handle 100mph on a 400m radius curve (achieved by modifying the game) and for cars the long cars with drivers can handle those speeds too, but those small cars and the porter start freaking out at 70 mph so if you ever start getting to those speeds you know what to watch out for
nice, i usually have to throw mine down a steep mountain to get over 100
would be handy for my jump map builds to be able to go fast instantly... any tips on what to edit?
It took me few hours to get it to work and I do have some experience with cheat engine so I don't really have a suggestion
@@elektro860 cheat engines enough to start with, thanks :D
thought maybe you were editing the files
hmm... name the Eureka "Kart" or "Cart", so that way when the tender has "SHART" the engine has "Cart" or "Kart", making it the "Shart-Kart/Shart-Cart" :)
Earlier today I bought a new loco and wound up at $0 in the bank.
Name it "Charmin" as it will help take care of S.H.A.R.T.
Is Hyce gonna join this let's play?
@kAN Gaming you’ll have to join me one of these days on railroads online I think you would be impressed with my layout on the old map
Do you have your spread sheet spread out?
None of em are springloaded, you just throw them in a other direction by driving thru them the wrong way, springloaded would go back in its old position
I tried refilling one of those new firewood sheds from my tender and it didn't work, though it's possible they've changed that.
They should add signals that work automatically
Can you teach me how to make a proper yard? I'll run trains for you.
for the firewood car would Cord wood not work?
Mazda? Well if you wanna riff on car brands.. For a choochoo that's meant to pull wood, I'd go with Lumberghini.
wheres hyce good tracks tho
How about name Eureka "Lady Of The Lake" because it will be used alot on runs around the lake
Get the tenmile. Its a beast
You should name the Eureka cazoo
how big would it be if you made like a roundabout to make a nice looking connection of all the lines there ?
Actually that could be a really cool idea. Build the entire area as one big roundabout with all the Ys coming off it. Would be more functional that way as well.
@@kANGaming guess i know what next video is about then XD
in railroad online can you create tunnel and cut in hils?
