I have a pigeon and a dove, both rescued when they were babies. They are my children, and I love them very much, and yes, they do require a LOT of attention from me.

Hey, Xofer21! Thank you so very much for coming back to watch my video.. even though, there is a very long break between the times when I post anything :( I really appreciate your time! Thank you for sharing the lovely, and yet sad story of yours. It warms my heart knowing that there are people like you out there who don't stay ambivalent to the injured trivial animal like pigeon! But it's sad for me to hear that eventually, your parents didn't let the bird to stay with you..... You said that it was back in the 80's.. long time ago, and yet, you still remember this pigeon.... isn't it fascinating how those small creatures can get into our hearts so fast and stay in our thoughts forever.
What breed was your first pigeon? I’m interested in adopting or buying from a breeder and it would be nice if you could help me out. I just want a normal looking pigeon like your first one with no feathers on there legs. Thank you so much if you reply
Im so glad that you're still making videos. You do the best pet pigeon videos on RUclips. They're both thoughtful and entertaining. Thanks and keep at it.
Thank you so very much, Sisterstate7216, for your comment with such a positive feedback! It made my day! :D I'm very happy you find my videos thoughtful and entertaining! And yes, I'm still making videos and I still have a lot to share on the topic of pigeons :D. It's just hard to find time between work to make videos. But reading your very supportive comment, definitely encourages me to try and find more time for this! :) So.. thank you very much for taking your time and writing your comment for me!
I really love watching your videos. You have such a great talent for video making - perfect personality between entertaining and informative. You have a great sense of humor. I think if you made more videos, you’d definitely build your subscriber count (assuming that’s something you want). I hope you make more videos. I subscribed after the first video I watched. Btw, I’m originally from Kiev Ukraine but I came to the States at age 3 (I’m 49 now). ❤
our pigeon has bonded to my teenage son & whenever my son goes into the bathroom, the bird just flies from my son's bed to the bathroom door & back again, until my son is finished & exits. but when my son leaves the house, the bird will deem one of the rest of us "good enough" to hang out with. 😹 with four people in the house, it's pretty rare for our bird to be alone for any length of time. he's the king of the household & we live to serve our feathery ruler. 😻
I also need to add how glad I am to see you to be so extremely responsible with your pet and the ethics of keeping it. :) So often even well known, educated and well-meaning animal youtubers give unethical advice or have their pet(s) in borderline-unjust conditions. You set a very good example
Thank you for putting this out so very well! 🥰 We have Sophie (The Pigeon) which is our rescue pigeon, she came from a VERY bad situation and a vet even thought she would never fully recover anymore (as in able to fly for example)... She luckily did, with one of us spending A LOT of time (read: months!) of time with her, building trust, doing (VERY SLOWLY) exercises with her (to regain full use of her wings again etc), during this period it was almost a 24/7 task (aside from me sleeping of course) of spending time with her. This dedication and attention caused her (unintentionally) to bond very strongly with me, and despite that we tried to see how she would do with another pigeon as 'real buddy/mate', she would not do well AT ALL (indeed very defensive, jealous and even aggression). I sometimes also get comment's like "she needs a mate"... Well guess what? You are right: She already has a mate (in her eyes) and that's me. It works perfectly for her, I work from home, she literally spends her entire day with me and around me (even goes with me everywhere I go outside). Sure there are some (rare) instances she can't come along, and HAS to stay at home, but that's just fine and it doesn't bother her to much. She has a very nice (and large) 'cage' (we call it her room) to spend such (rare) occasions in, with enough to entertain herself, and I can keep an eye on her with an IP Camera. All in all, i'm glad someone put the effort in making a video like this to explain it to people with 'the wrong idea' 😄 Sophie has her own shorts on my channel where she shares her 'happy pigeon life and adventures', and other social media accounts (which I won't share here since it isn't meant as 'advertising' at all, and due to those 'channels' people around us are now also starting to see that she is really happy, enjoying all the things she does, and that she gets everything she deserves (and more) 😄 I will definitely link (or embed) this video on her own blog to explain/show to people that it's perfectly okay to have 'just' one pigeon. "Just" one pigeon, also "just" means that you are willing to devote to the pigeon as he/she would expect from a partner/mate, and if you are able to do so, then it is just fine 😄 Again, thank you very much for your elaborate and informative video (which is just PERFECT referral material)
Gosh here I had the random thought of having a pet pigeon, and you voiced the exact reasons why I've been afraid of getting a dog (also because ducks are loud and my work necessitates a rather quiet environment), the constant drama i will be playing in my head and guilt upon leaving my pigeon just because i left for the grocery. Appreciate these vids! and hope Toby and Bonnie are doing well!
Lovely story! My doves got along so well as a pair that I felt like the 3rd wheel. I sold them to a woman who didn't mind dealing with the eggs and squabs. If I ever get a pigeon, it'll definitely be my one and only. I wish it would have been like you and your pigeon. Don't like to feel left out and like they don't need me or love me.
Hey, Beautifulwhitecat! Thank you very much for watching my video and for taking your time to write the comment. It's sad for me to hear that you had to give away your doves.... That's what I was talking about in my video when I said that if you will get a mated pair, you'll have other problems to deal with, .i.e. how to bond with them. But I'm glad you found a good home for your doves rather than giving them to a shelter! It's a very responsible and thoughtful thing to do!.... and I definitely understand you. We get pets to give them our love, in hope we'll get same love and loyalty back.... but, unfortunately, sometimes it doesn't work that way. :(
It's good that you are bringing up this topic. I have dozens of rescued pigeons at home and have observed that they form pairs with those they find sympathetic. You can't just take any two pigeons, put them together, and think it will be fine. I offer people the chance to temporarily take their pigeon, and with a bit of luck, it will pair up here. Then I return two pigeons to them. I wish every pigeon owner had such an opportunity. When they are in a true pair, it's a beautiful sight.
love love love this whole video i currently have, umm, 6 pigeons (plus a feral who is in a crate recovering from a badly broken leg). there was definitely a shift in dynamics as each new pigeon arrived - they have all been found as babies and hand raised and have underlying issues that made releasing them impossible. they are great company and lots of fun. i say this even after the newest pigeon (9 weeks old) decided she was now sleeping in my bedroom a couple of nights ago and woke me up by jumping on my face the last 2 mornings. and i still stress about leaving them when i go out of the house.
I saved a pigeon one day and kept her 1 month she had PMV virus, she was very afraid of me. I like them even if they poop a lot, I feed them from my window. Your birds are beautiful.❤
This is exactly how it went for our budgies. We'd spend everyday with our first one for years, him out the cage with us and toys, he developed bad hormonal issues and had to hump his toys everyday. Despite our constant attention and bonding with him, and making sure he had a good diet/vet visits said he was okay, and we always tried to keep his hormonal behaviour down in every way we could. When we got the second bird, his hormonal issues stopped. He doesn't hump any toys anymore, or the other budgie, he is more himself again :) however, like you said...they aren't that close, they bicker and refuse to share food and the new bird is young and fiesty, however they're bonded and will preen and feed eachother despite not being super chummy ❤
I got two (male and female) because the breeder strong armed me into it by saying how well they do together and that it makes the birds so happy. I regret it every day. The problem is actually that they get along TOO well. They are very focused on each other and breeding/nesting. The problem for me is that I have lots of time to spend with a bird and don’t leave home much, so one bird would have been better for me. I wanted a pet I could be close to. My two are very low maintenance by being together, but they also want little to do with me which is not what I wanted. Just depends what you are looking for I guess, but I wish I wasn’t pressured into getting them both. Even if I got them a year apart it may have been better as they might have had better bonds with me from that time.
Makes sense that they are focused on each other. They are the same species after all and you're not. They can communicate to each other, build a nest together, etc. This is why you were strongly advised to get two pigeons, because it's whats best for the birds :) For example, it's even forbidden in some countries to keep budgies on their own for this exact reason
Always a treat when I see a video of yours in my subscribed tab. Enjoyed all of the funny edits, especially the pigeon coo as censor sound, cracked me up 😂 Thank you for sharing your experiences and opinions regarding the 1 or 2 bird debate. I dont have a bird yet, but I've been thinking about this topic for years. This made me more assured of the decision I'll make when the time comes P.S. Your pigeons are real cuties 🕊️💕
Thank you very much, Nelly, for coming back and leaving such a positive comment! It is a treat FOR ME, to know that you came back to watch another video of mine, even though, it's been a long break since I posted anything. :( And thank you so very much for taking your time and writing me that the coo as censor made you laugh! Reading that one of my jokes made you laugh, totally made my day! :D And i'm happy to hear that you are taking it slow and researching to make the right decision on your future pet bird! :) I wish everybody was as thoughtful as you are.
I've had a couple people ask if I was going to get a second pigeon. My bird actually goes outside with me on walks, and where I live we have ferals flying around. When ever one of them approaches my pigeon, she gets awkward and doesn't really know what to do. So, she comes back to me. She's more comfortable with people and dogs. When I go to work, she's learned the routine and doesn't freak out. I've caught her sleeping in bed with my dog (who is a 75 lb shepard/lab mix) when I get home. Or she's on her eggs. Pigeons are really shaped by their upbringing, and if you have a bird that was raised by or close to people, they really don't see themselves as something apart from us.
I love your birds so much, very informative video, I love your style of editing :) I don't have any pigeons or any kind of bird myself, but I've thought about getting one someday in the far future and all your videos have helped with my research on it. I think I would try to work with just one, and only get another if I became more outgoing and less at home.. as long as they can get along 😅
Thank you so much, Orbic521, for watching my video and your comment! I'm very happy you liked it! It means a lot for me! :) That's very wise of you to do the research first, before getting a pet bird. It also made me so happy to read your train of thoughts: if you will have less time to spend with your bird, you'll get another one! ... usually people say : if I'll have less time, the bird will be given to the shelter.... so reading that you'd rather get your future bird a company, than giving it away, melted my heart! Thank you for being so thoughtful!.. wish there were more people like you!
I have been in those situations a couple of times. In my cases, my birbs would go in depression without a mate. I would never let that happen. I always made sure that they had someone.
I usually don’t watch random videos but this was great. Never owned a pigeon was more of a hookedbill kinda guy, but kinda want a pigeon now that my hookbill passed (old age no neglect). Appreciate you.
very cool. I just subscribed to you yesterday, because I became interested in pigeons because of watching video about comparing speed of pigeon mail and internet network. Nicola Tesla had a pet pigeon. You and your pigeons are very cute together. Your videos are a gem.
Thank you so very much for watching my videos! I'm very happy you found it worth subscribing! It means a lot for me! I really appreciate your comment and such a positive feedback! It definitely puts a smile on my face when someone finds my pigeons cute and my videos about them a gem! :D WOW! a speed of the internet vs pigeon mail?! interesting... I didn't even know there was a video about that.. I gotta look that up :D Sounds interesting :D....Oh I heard that too, that Nicola Tesla had a white female pigeon and really loved his bird like no one else!.. I don't know if it's true or not.. but if it is, it's a very beautiful fact! :D
What a superbly made video! Entertaining and informative! Annoying how a streamer can get a million views for sitting there playing a video game but you clearly put so much work into this! Well just know some of us appreciate the work you put in! I'm curious what work you do from home? Is it illustration- those drawings were great :D Do you ever feed or help pigeons in the wild? Keep keeping your 2 birbs happy. Thanks!
Very humorous! You do make me laugh. Only came here because I have the sweetest wood pigeon bonding with me in the garden, thank goodness he already has a mate! 😂😂
It's actually a treat for me, Justin, that you found it worth coming back and watching a new video of mine! Thank you so much for your time and writing your positive comment! :D It makes me super happy to know that there are people who come back.. even after huge breaks between my posts :(
So true .. I hand-feed pigeons on my top floor balcony here in Montréal, Canada, and they re sooooo jealous of each other and stake out their turfs!!! They are really adorable. And listen to me. They don’t mind when I pet or tease them since they eat on my hand, on me, etc.but not too long. Lollll. If I only had one perhaps but they make each other edgy since they’re wild city birds and there’s at least 15 different who come visit me. They all have their own personality I’ll tell you. I even feed two very young ones with still a little squeaky cooing yet. I feed them peanuts!!! They adore peanuts and rice. I’m trying safflower seeds tomorrow. I have to use it all up..
Thank you, There is so little about keeping pigeons. I had a Goffin's Cockatoo for years and she was a rescue. And also a handful. Saturday I will be picking up my first rescue Pigeon.
what a fantastic and adorable video! the part where you described your extremely busy social life made me chuckle. also i love your chill editing style :)
Thank you so very much, Thewurstcase261, for watching my video and leaving your comment! I really appreciate the feedback! You mentioning that one part of the video made you smile - totally made my day!.. so THANK YOU! :)
This was so helpful, I currently have one pigeon that’s bonded to me and thought about getting another one to keep her company while im gone/working/etc, but think I’ll just stick to my one. She’s already jealous when I have people over so I can’t imagine how she would be with another bird 😂
Yeah, sticking with one could be a good idea. I am in your situation, thought my pigeon was lonely as my new job requires more hours. Now... my Sesame is trying to kill the new pigeon, I need to separate them all the time.
First of all, if you are experienced at this, the pigeon you adopt is very lucky to have you. Secondly, they're very easy to train, entertain, and are very loving. Thirdly, they are smart.
I want to get pigeons for a few reasons. One, I love having birds when I was younger and I did have pigeons back then so it’s a nostalgia thing for me. Two, my neighbors have pigeons and I want pigeons too. And three, it’s to take care of birds that are hold a special place in my heart, separate from reason 1.
It was a long wait since your last video, I was quite curious what happened to your two pigeons. It's nice to see that they have hit it off now. I hope the next video don't take so long. PS. By the way, I really liked your drawings, you do a great job.
Hey, Mark! Thank you so much for watching my video... ah, you are so sweet! I didn't know someone was wondering, why I didn't post video for so long. Your comment made me smile! ... and yeah, unfortunately, it takes a while for me since I work full time... making videos about my birds is just a hobby.... Your comment definitely made me more motivated to do my best at scheduling LOL P.S. Thank you so much! Those drawings took a while actually (even though it doesn't look that way XD)... i'm very bad at cartoony stuff :D, but your feedback boosted my confidence! SO thank you for being so nice!
Здравия! У меня такой вопросик - вы выращивали Тоби? Или купили так же, как и Бонни? А еще - как мне уговарить родителей (а именно отца у которого аллергия на шерсть), что бы мы завели домашнего голубя?
This has been a really helpful video. I had two pigeons but one flew away, the remaining pigeon and I bonded deeply but I got her a mate because I am gone a lot. They hate each other and now they both hate ME. First pigeon has completely regressed and meets me with aggression constantly. The second pigeon simply hates me and is not warming up (many months of effort). They both are VERY unhappy. I was trying to decide if I rehome pigeon #2 or rehome both of them. I can't give her the time she needs (I have a full time job), so I will be rehoming both of them.
I just watched all your videos. Your editing and humour is so wonderful! The mix of informative and entertaining is perfect! I'm hoping to welcome my first pigeon friend into my home this year and after watching your videos I'm even more excited! Thanks for making these wonderful videos!! :)
I really loved your video and you are right about the animals being very jealous, it is both a suffering for them and for us. I am glad things got better. And this is a lesson for those people that hate pigeons snd say that they are a health danger. Thank you very much for showing that this is not truth.thank you for being kind.
I'm a long-term pigeon guy. It could be that Toby is a boy and bonded with you; and your Frill is also a male...hence the competition. I feel like if you had two females, or a male and a female, they would mate and lay eggs. But I certainly could be wrong... again.... I appreciate your videos! I am hand-raising a German Owl for my grand-daughter, and I have really enjoyed your sharing your pigeon-pet experience! Thanks!
awe, thank you so very much PixelatedChicken33, for coming back and watching my video! It means a lot for me! You are so kind! I still suck at RUclips LOL... but your comment made my day and gave me motivation! :D
I've had a very similar experience with my cats -- I used to have one following me around, now I have two (unless my partner is home, in which case the younger cat goes after them lol). And no they don't get along, they just tolerate each other and sometimes cooperate in mischief. This was a lovely and informative video! Thank you!
I enjoy your videos and your little humor nuggets sprinkled throughout. I love pigeons but am not sure if I am ready to commit to owning one (I mean cohabitating with one). Until then, i will live vicariously through you.
I got a rescue last year and so far he's my only one. It's been hard, mostly because he's scared of hands and I've been failing to properly desensitize him I think. It's been in the back of my mind that if I can't get him bonded then I'll eventually have to get a second pigeon, but I'm giving it some time still working on getting that bond.
Oh my god. This is so fine to watch. It is amazing, so cute to see both of you, friend for ever. Best friend ever. It is cute she follow you every where ❤ and love to see her cute and protected space at your desk ❤
Toby and Bonnie are so adorable! I fully agree with you. We tend to think on behalf of our animals and think they need company when in fact they are happy just being by themselves and that they have us all to themselves. It’s the sense of guilt in us that when we are not home, they’re lonely. I believe they do, but on the other hand, they would get used to it. Perhaps?
I just found a pigeon that was flopping on the floor like a fish so I took it home and I’m making him better his foot is no good but I’m gonna keep trying 🥰 I’m glad I came across your video ❤️
I rescued a homing pigeon 4 years ago , I had a 10 year old cat that got along with any animals but cats , luckily they got along but both never got more than a couple of inches to each other , cat in my lap pigeon on my shoulder, unfortunately my 15 year old cat passed away a month ago and she would look for him , they kept each other company when I had to go to work ! She seems ok now
Just found your channel and I love everything you do! Not just pet pigeon content which is sacre but also your editing and scripting! Also you, as a personality and your humor (might be because I'm slavic tho). Subscribed and I will binge watch all your content soon ❤ because this is only the second video I saw
Started coming to this channel to do some research while I attempt to rescue an abandoned pigeon in my back yard. I've tried everything but he's too smart and healthy to fall for any of it. Called NPA and he's abandoned (black band, no numbers). I have his home all set up in my room and everything but I just can't get him somewhere safe. If this doesn't work out I think I will end up adopting but it breaks my heart to think of losing this guy.
You have to let them fly outside and they will always return to you but you have to train them. I had 30 pigeons when i was younger they always flow outside and come home in the evening. So my tips for you to let them enjoy flying outside. Good luck 🙂
Beautiful colors . I had birds for so many years. Ended up having over 100 birds. And they are awesome pets. Mine were outside. In a pigeon loft. Eventually I had to part with them. For medical reasons. But hopefully down the road I will get back into it. Love pigeons.
I have a feral pigeon called Steve (I'm fairly sure he is male). Anyway he was injured by a predator (probably a cat) and his right eye was so badly damaged he cannot see out of it. Six months later he is fully healed although blind in the right eye. He loves being on his own and tells me off if I stroke him to much. I cannot let him go as he will almost certainly fall prey to another animal but he seems really happy living with me where he is fed and looked after. He hardly ever comes out of the bathroom and doesn't follow me around so I guess I have a pet pigeon for life without being followed lol.
Thank you for your lovely video. Ithink it is egotistical to have one animal. Because people are going to work the whole day, spend time with friends in a cafe or whatever. The dog or the pigeon at home this time is lonesome. I had a pigeon (found as a young bird fallen from nest) at home for 5 month. And yes it was a amazing time.....But i also have a dog and we went together ! every day for a walk (Fly) in the wood. But when "Moly" became a "boy" he wanted to stay in the wood looking for a "girl". But i miss him so much. And it´s so nice to watch you with your pigeons.
Argh… didn’t know you updated with this video. If only I’ve watched this, wouldn’t have gotten a second one. My sesame is trying to kill hazelnut. I need to separate them.
Pigeons are actually called Rock Doves as they are from the dove family. if they have a line around the back of the neck, ringneck dove, will fill their crop bow their head and coo coo coooo and laugh alot If they have no ring on their neck but spottage and some form of beige they are mourning doves, will emit a sound similar to mourning.
I ABSOLUTELY love your videos, I just discovered your channel. I have one bird already, a green-cheek conure named Piggie, And, two guinea pigs named Tiramisu and Cappucino! Anyway, I have thought for so long to get a pigeon and your videos are so cute and entertaining (dont forget informational) but thank you for your content
I dont understand how you can keep your house so clean. Surely they are pooping everywhere? I got my first pet pigeon three weeks ago because it was stargazing with pmv virus outside a london mall and i didnt have the heart to just leave it, shes a little better now and doesn't fit as much, we watched your video with her on my shoulder but she sure makes a mess of my house, is this a silly question but your house looks clean, have you trained them to poop somewhere? Also if you opened your window and they flew out would your pigeons be able to survive? If they could i dont understand why you would keep them? Anyhow great upload. Subscribed. ❤
It's very difficult trying to toilet them, I tried, wouldn't work, though I can now get my Sesame to poop outside the cage every morning. Other than that, yeah, I always wonder how people keep their indoor so clean with a pigeon... and the dust too!
I think this applies to other bird species too. My cockatiel has had two cage-mates. The first one lived with her for four years and died the day before I brought her home. She did not care at all. I bought her another companion bird years later, thinking she was lonely while I was in school. The bird also died in front of her. Again, she did not care. She's a human-loving bird lol.
I had a pigeon find me. He’s a racing pigeon that showed up in my yard and I finally brought him in after 2 days. The owner didn’t want him back… so now he’s mine, but he’s alone. So now I’m considering getting another pigeon. He’s not very handleable… hopefully this changes in time.
ive wanted a pigeon for an incredibly long time, and recently thats just increased by the TON because i got to pet one in person (a friend of mine owns two!), now, i usually stay cooped up at home all the time, but i have school, which is several grueling hours being bored for both me AND the potential pigeon. id be fine with getting two so they dont get sickly depressed, but im also nervous about them potentially being TOO focused on EACHOTHER, or.. simply hating eachother and then i have double the poop cleanup to take care of. i know the easy solution is just,, "dont get a pigeon then!" but they really do seem like a perfect match for me, and the first option if i ever was allowed to get a small winged animal.
How did you introduce your two pigeons together? Did you just stick them in the same cage, or did you have to do it a different way? I couldn't find any info on this. Thanks! Please keep posting (if it's something you can make time for) I love your videos!
Thank you so much, EyGTFOhere, for watching my videos and your very positive comment!.. no, it's I'M GLAD, that you find it worth coming back and watch new stuff that I poste! :) It inspires me knowing that you like my videos! SO thank you! I'm back yes... I mean... I technically never left... :D .. It's just hard to find time to make videos between work, that's why the break in between my posts is soo long :(... but there is still quite a bit I want to share :D
If they're kept indoors do they poop everywhere? We have a pigeon that showed up at our house and it thought our great danes and pittie would be friendly. They didn't harm it and My wife kept it safe, shooed it out of the fenced in area and I found it following me around up in my garage! It is still here after 4 days and living in the garage, (eating well on bird food!) It will fly around the property then come back in the garage... Weird!! We want to keep it as a pet ... but outside for sure. Any tips? Interesting animals! Good videos of your pigeon friends!
I have a pigeon and a dove, both rescued when they were babies. They are my children, and I love them very much, and yes, they do require a LOT of attention from me.

Awesome video! I currently have 1 pigeon, and yeah, they're NEEDY. Im lucky enough to have a life that accommodates the "one pigeon life."
OO Okay!
our pigeon has bonded to my teenage son & whenever my son goes into the bathroom, the bird just flies from my son's bed to the bathroom door & back again, until my son is finished & exits. but when my son leaves the house, the bird will deem one of the rest of us "good enough" to hang out with. 😹 with four people in the house, it's pretty rare for our bird to be alone for any length of time. he's the king of the household & we live to serve our feathery ruler. 😻
Lol, you people are just the back up family when your sons not around lol XD
All in all, i'm glad someone put the effort in making a video like this to explain it to people with 'the wrong idea'
😄
Sophie has her own shorts on my channel where she shares her 'happy pigeon life and adventures', and other social media accounts (which I won't share here since it isn't meant as 'advertising' at all, and due to those 'channels' people around us are now also starting to see that she is really happy, enjoying all the things she does, and that she gets everything she deserves (and more) 😄
I will definitely link (or embed) this video on her own blog to explain/show to people that it's perfectly okay to have 'just' one pigeon. "Just" one pigeon, also "just" means that you are willing to devote to the pigeon as he/she would expect from a partner/mate, and if you are able to do so, then it is just fine 😄
Again, thank you very much for your elaborate and informative video (which is just PERFECT referral material)
Very beautiful pigeons
Я сам держу голубей и вижу впервые такое чудо, что девушка так любит голубей! Спасибо Вам !
love love love this whole video
i currently have, umm, 6 pigeons (plus a feral who is in a crate recovering from a badly broken leg). there was definitely a shift in dynamics as each new pigeon arrived - they have all been found as babies and hand raised and have underlying issues that made releasing them impossible. they are great company and lots of fun. i say this even after the newest pigeon (9 weeks old) decided she was now sleeping in my bedroom a couple of nights ago and woke me up by jumping on my face the last 2 mornings.
and i still stress about leaving them when i go out of the house.
That is true. If you want a bird who gets closed to you all the time, 1 bird is perfect. I realised when I have 2, it's more difficult.
😢c.ucked by your birds 😢
@@marer_ Yes I agree :) We should always be caring of the happiness of the animal before our own :)
Same for me. My first pigeon was happy with just me. Then I rescued a second bird whom she hated! I released the second after his injury healed. 🕊️🌠
That is a brilliant video, and I'm so impressed with your method of delivering such essential information to people. Nice work 😘
Always a treat when I see a video of yours in my subscribed tab. Enjoyed all of the funny edits, especially the pigeon coo as censor sound, cracked me up 😂
Thank you for sharing your experiences and opinions regarding the 1 or 2 bird debate. I dont have a bird yet, but I've been thinking about this topic for years. This made me more assured of the decision I'll make when the time comes
And i'm happy to hear that you are taking it slow and researching to make the right decision on your future pet bird!
I love your birds so much, very informative video, I love your style of editing :)
I don't have any pigeons or any kind of bird myself, but I've thought about getting one someday in the far future and all your videos have helped with my research on it. I think I would try to work with just one, and only get another if I became more outgoing and less at home.. as long as they can get along 😅
Thank you so much, Orbic521, for watching my video and your comment! I'm very happy you liked it! It means a lot for me! :)
That's very wise of you to do the research first, before getting a pet bird.
I really think there's something very special about pigeons!
I have been in those situations a couple of times. In my cases, my birbs would go in depression without a mate. I would never let that happen. I always made sure that they had someone.
wow the quality of the video is insane...You should have more subscribers, incredibly amazing story telling abilities.
I'm so glad that I found this video. The editing is so well done and it's super entertaining watching too.
Made my day 🎉
Having a pet you love who loves you back is a happy thing 😆
As someone who goes out and feeds them everyday, I completely agree, Pigeons are incredibly territorial creatures,
I usually don’t watch random videos but this was great. Never owned a pigeon was more of a hookedbill kinda guy, but kinda want a pigeon now that my hookbill passed (old age no neglect). Appreciate you.
Тоже живу заграницей и тоже с двумя голубями 🙂 Одну спасли еще птенцом, а второго нелетающего нам отдали из приюта.
WOW! a speed of the internet vs pigeon mail?! interesting... :D
I rescued a baby pigeon yesterday! It barely has its underwing feathers! I named her anchovy, (found out it was female) and she loves us
What a superbly made video! Entertaining and informative!
Annoying how a streamer can get a million views for sitting there playing a video game but you clearly put so much work into this! Well just know some of us appreciate the work you put in!
I'm curious what work you do from home? Is it illustration- those drawings were great :D
Do you ever feed or help pigeons in the wild?
Keep keeping your 2 birbs happy. Thanks!
Very humorous! You do make me laugh.
Only came here because I have the sweetest wood pigeon bonding with me in the garden, thank goodness he already has a mate! 😂😂
I have 4 doves and they are super tame , they are 2 bonded pairs and they still follow me around the house - I love them very much !!!
Happy to see another video! Quite the treat!
It's actually a treat for me, Justin, that you found it worth coming back and watching a new video of mine! Thank you so much for your time and writing your positive comment! :D It makes me super happy to know that there are people who come back.. even after huge breaks between my posts :(
@@mylittlepigeon278 Life happens. No sweat. : )
You are my most favorite pigeon channel. I hope you release more videos!
I have to use it all up..
this video deserves more views!! Was so funny, I'm more excited than ever to get my first pigeons!
Thank you, There is so little about keeping pigeons. I had a Goffin's Cockatoo for years and she was a rescue. And also a handful. Saturday I will be picking up my first rescue Pigeon.
omg you’re bird being obsessed with you is so adorable 😩❤️
You rock for saving these two pigeons!!! Doves are great birds!!! ❤🕊👍
what a fantastic and adorable video! the part where you described your extremely busy social life made me chuckle. also i love your chill editing style :)
Your comment definitely made me more motivated to do my best at scheduling LOL
P.S. Thank you so much! Those drawings took a while actually (even though it doesn't look that way XD)... i'm very bad at cartoony stuff :D, but your feedback boosted my confidence! SO thank you for being so nice!
This video warmed my heart. So sweet
this video is beautiful ! thanks for sharing this amazing story !
Добрый день! Хорошая птича! Интересно и не обычно показано! Удачи Вам и вашим питомцам!!!
I like how you reflect Toby's behavior on yourself and how you respond to it.
Nice ending btw🪐🍾
Thanks!
Omg I love pigeons so much and feed them with pigeon food on my balcony. Plus I just discovered your channel and subscribed!
Wow, their patterns are absolutely stunning!!
Such a great video, I hope you, Toby and Bonnie are doing well.
So happy to see another video! This is my favourite channel for pigeon info :D
awe, thank you so very much PixelatedChicken33, for coming back and watching my video!
Hope you guys are well
Toby and Bonnie are both gorgeous!
Hey @LisaKini ! Thank you very much for stopping by, watching my video and leaving your sweet comment!
I hope you are well too! :)
This was such a good presentation!! 🕊️
I would love to have a pigeon...they are so precious and sweet.
Perhaps?
i took your advice and gave my pigeon a company. now he runs the whole city and is a corrupt CEO with friends in high places :(
What do you do with the feces? They get a lot of dirt everywhere. I leave the pigeon free in a room but it gets everything dirty.
Your connection with your birds is beautiful ❤ Please make more videos
I just found a pigeon that was flopping on the floor like a fish so I took it home and I’m making him better his foot is no good but I’m gonna keep trying 🥰 I’m glad I came across your video ❤️
I have a rescued baby pigeon found very badly injured an now she my little sweetheart loves to sit with me on sofa
Why did You stop making videos on Your little friends. I enjoy and learn alot from watching The Love You give to Your birds Thomas x
Now I have learn more about my wife
I have a feral pigeon called Steve (I'm fairly sure he is male). Anyway he was injured by a predator (probably a cat) and his right eye was so badly damaged he cannot see out of it. Six months later he is fully healed although blind in the right eye. He loves being on his own and tells me off if I stroke him to much. I cannot let him go as he will almost certainly fall prey to another animal but he seems really happy living with me where he is fed and looked after. He hardly ever comes out of the bathroom and doesn't follow me around so I guess I have a pet pigeon for life without being followed lol.
G'day from Australia 🇦🇺. Very nice pigeons you have.
I have one too and I love him dearly. ❤
Argh… didn’t know you updated with this video. If only I’ve watched this, wouldn’t have gotten a second one. My sesame is trying to kill hazelnut. I need to separate them.
Pigeons are actually called Rock Doves as they are from the dove family.
if they have a line around the back of the neck, ringneck dove, will fill their crop bow their head and coo coo coooo and laugh alot
If they have no ring on their neck but spottage and some form of beige they are mourning doves, will emit a sound similar to mourning.
I loved the illustrations in this video
I’ve started feeding pigeons from my flat balcony. They wait for me when I get in from work and now there’s loads of them
I think this applies to other bird species too.
How about the dynamic between 2 girls or 2 boys? Is one of those cpmbos more aggresive or wpuld that be better?
ive wanted a pigeon for an incredibly long time, and recently thats just increased by the TON because i got to pet one in person (a friend of mine owns two!), now, i usually stay cooped up at home all the time, but i have school, which is several grueling hours being bored for both me AND the potential pigeon. id be fine with getting two so they dont get sickly depressed, but im also nervous about them potentially being TOO focused on EACHOTHER, or.. simply hating eachother and then i have double the poop cleanup to take care of. i know the easy solution is just,, "dont get a pigeon then!" but they really do seem like a perfect match for me, and the first option if i ever was allowed to get a small winged animal.
How did you introduce your two pigeons together? Did you just stick them in the same cage, or did you have to do it a different way? I couldn't find any info on this. Thanks! Please keep posting (if it's something you can make time for) I love your videos!
Glad to see you back! I love your videos❤
Lovely video !!
Q for indoor pigeon parents....How do you poop train your birds ?...so that they are not randomly pooping all over ?
Thanks.
Good videos of your pigeon friends!
hi, great video thanks. how do you keep house clean they do produce lots of bird droppings?
