It's easy to raise a smart child with all the computer programs and information and classes available online, or even with tutoring. But it takes a whole lot more time, effort and care to raise a kind child. One who will show everyone (people of all races, religions, and cultures) the same amount of courtesy, respect, understanding, compassion, empathy, generosity, care and kindness that they would hope to receive themselves.

I met this guy, who is traveling here in Mexico, and he told me his family was part of the KKK in Georgia and he moved away to raise his children in Seattle so they would not grow up with that thinking. I was really impressed. I thought it was awesome. Just goes to show people can know better deep down.

I am from Florida. When I was relocated to Tennessee, my son had a classmate who unfortunately lost his mom his junior year of high school. His step dad kicked him out and when we found out our family opened our home to him. He is black and kind of the same situation as Michael Orr we helped him out. Just to be human being and not ask for anything in return. We wanted him to feel kindness and have a chance

This movie was fabulous. The scene with the bed....him never having had one....breaks me down every time. I’m glad he found love and family. It will carry you through....that’s success!
A proud moment parents don't always get to see. We hope we do right, teaching our children how to be decent human beings, etc. By her daughter moving and sitting with her adopted brother, without mom or dad telling her, that's great parenting.

We had soooo many kids stay with us over the years. Loved em all. The hugs and kisses were the best. They know who they are.

This was my mom and my sister. She chewed them up and spit them out so calm and with a smile. The only reason I know was because a friend worked there and was in earshot. I wouldn’t change anything in the world for my sister. She’s my heart
