They shared a few classes and he’d always tell me what a sweet, funny, down to earth girl she always was. He didn’t know her too well but I still think it’s amazing! I just wanted to share that here ♥️

I’m not making it up. She attended Washington-Lee High School, the same school my dad attended and graduated from (class of 1982). She was a cheerleader there and was heavily involved in the drama club, which my dad was also a part of as well. I just wanted to give some interesting info of how someone you know can grow up to become a huge Oscar-winning celebrity. I’m sorry some of you think I’m lying. Why is it so hard to believe something as simple as a person attending school with my family member before they became famous?
My dad wasn’t friends with her personally; he happened to attend school with her and took notice of her sweet, genuine, good-natured personality whenever they shared a class. He doesn’t think they even spoke to each other, but I still wanted to share that here

Such a great speech 👍🏼Don’t take it too serious. Just a slight difference between Americans (considering her mum is originally German, not quite sure but, anyway…) and Btits. “I thank my family, you’ll probably hear them (the camera showing them)… maybe not.
And then Kate Winslet’s acceptance speech with something along the lines “…my parents, dad, whistle or something…” and here we are with her dad immediately whistling at the top of his lungs. This sense of humour, that’s what I meant.

When she said, "the moms who take care of their babies, no matter where they come from". I broke down, got so emotional. The movie, the story itself was an intense and emotional rollercoaster. I loved everything about the film the Tuhoy family, Sandra Bullock 😍
The most amazing thing about the character Leigh Anne was that she was unapologetic about her away of doing things, and I loved that fierceness, boldness. She knows she is doing right, and she is going to do it by any cost and she was so kind, people like her are rare to find and she doesn't make a big deal about being kind cause that's normal, Kindess shouldn't be a rare thing, it should be normalised. I loved loved blind side. This was a very heart-wrenching film, indeed.

No, she didn't. I like her very much as a person and she did a good job in The Blind Side, but not great, and certainly not on the level of Meryl Streep or others. It's like when Julia Roberts or Jennifer Lawrence won. The Oscars has become a very "Top 40" mainstream popularity contest instead of truly celebrating the best acting performances. It's more about which movies and actors bring in the most money.

I think people feel she shouldn't have one because this wasn't a dramatic role nor was it one the required much of a performance. But she brought a character to life. This role could've easily just been a campy impersonation, but she gave it depth and warmth. Even though the movies a "biopic", a very cheesy one at that, she carried the film through it's entirety with naturalness, charm, and wit. THAT is why she won.

What a lady, what an actress! One of best speeches across award shows- effortlessly funny, witty and heartwarmingly touching. Love that she gave tribute to not just her fellow actresses, but to the unsung heroes celebrated in the movie.

Oprah's speech to Gabby (I cannot spell her first name for the life of me) made me cry. For her to endure what Mo'Nique did to her, she deserved 100 oscars

+SethBlizzard She's SUPERB in Gravity, but Cate in Blue Jasmine is just sublime... As what Meryl Streep has said, the winner is the finest among EQUALS.
