That is footage from the California Jam in 1974, where Deep Purple DID NOT PERFORM Stormbringer, since they hadn't released the song yet. The audio is probably from the Made in Europe album, but the video is probably when they performed the song Burn at California Jam.
Thanks to Gillan's Ego they never performed the MKIII era or the Joe Lynn Turner era too (1990-1) And Blackmore was the Bad guy 😅 Of course he's not a Saint but he without Gillan was a little bit happy even on a interview ( he on the 1990 era ) Joe Lynn Turner told him :" Ritchie come on ,say hi and he give a interview with Lynn Turner a very relax interview later when Turner was fired the battle rages on literally not just the album tittle.
That was the California Jam. 300 000 people in the audience. There was also, Emerson, Lake, and Palmer, Black Sabbath, Earth, Wind, and Fire. What a show!!!!
This is Deep Purple with David Coverdale who later formed the great band Whitesnake. He replaced Ian Gillan in 1973 and they recorded three albums with him and bassist Glenn Hughes. The best of them is Burn.
This is 1974 , California Jam ! Their last song they did at this show was Space Truckin , when Ritchie Blackmore smashed a TV camera , then started blowing up his amps ! He wasn't in a good mood because the camera guy wouldn't stay out of his face , so he smashed the camera with his guitar !
Jon Lord used to put sand bags in the base of the organ so he could slam it around like that without it falling over. In some videos, he leans it WAY over.
The bass player here is Glenn Hughes(the bloke in the white suit)...his voice is magic. He fronts a band called Black Country communion with Joe Bonamassa on guitar and Jason Bonham on drums....his register is absurdly high.
The Cal Jam that year apparently sold about 250,000 tickets, this for a one day festival. Estimates vary between about another 50,000 to 150,000 gate-crashed, so the audience could have approached 400,000.
This is before certain people hijacked the rainbow. Check out Steppenwolf (Wolf Hunters) Magic Carpet Ride. Bands of my 20’s and 30’s sadly I’m now old but still love these guys.
I grew up on this stuff. However Sweet was the inspiration of modern metal. Tracks such as No You Don't and Set Me Free were great songs to learn from.
its is edit video clip i believe, they r actually playing other song lol...this live video is actually from California Jam ( i've watch the whole live video this song not in list lol)✌
They were incredible, many a folk went off and space-trucked for years, and few parties back when didn't shake things up without a few of their tunes at 3am, love them all, nice review :)
Travis & Suzi Both of you already have reacted to David Coverdale and his own band, Whitesnake (long-haired man without a bass or guitar). After Deep Purple disbanded by Ritchie Blackmore with this final lineup, David created Whitesnake. Bassist/ singer is Glenn Hughes, who has played in a lot of bands such as Black Sabbath
California Jam. Simulcast on fm radio and broadcast on tv. This song came out later as I don't recall this at all, and I did record it on my cassette recorder. Good editing to make it look real. At 14 years old, this whole concert was a treat! Would have been a cool thing to be there, but I was in Utah at the time. 😉
Siempre Deep Purple...toda la vida ❤ Para mí, Ian Gillan es y será el mejor vocalista, aunque Coverdale también lo hizo bien en su momento. Gracias por traer a la mejor banda de todos los tiempos!! 💜💜💜💜💜
@@norkannen Yeah...needed 2 to make work of 1. To my taste (or ears), it seems strange that a band that has always been essentially instrumental has followed a path of harmonizing voices at this stage (mark III). They're good singers, it's not the point, and Glen Hughes better than the still inexperienced David Coverdale... but for me Mark III definitely doesn't fit🤔
YES‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️ME. ME ME When I was a young teen i took my air guitar with those broken strings and started to play like Blackmore more than 40 years ago. 40 years? How the time flies guys Love ❤️ your reactions Keep it up
Stormbringer is a magic sword featured in a number of fantasy stories by the author Michael Moorcock. It is described as a huge, black sword covered with strange runes, created by the forces of Chaos. The sword has a will of its own and it is hinted that the sword may be controlled by an inhabiting entity.
You're are sooooooo fantastic, many wishes from switzerland, ibach-schwyz, headquarter of victorinox knives.have you a victorinox knive in your household?
Seems to me yaw have a key for organ 😂 , if so ,an if yaw have never heard the song Lazy by Deep purple ,yaw missing out on that organ ready to blow as loud as he has it , check it out✌️out
Deep Purple was terrific; particularly live, which is the mark of a good band. I mean, there are some bands that put out excellent studio albums but aren't as good live. That definitely does not pertain to Deep Purple.
Blackmore would'nt go out till dusk because he blew up his equiptment and wanted it to happen at dark. Then they had to rush off because they were gonna arrest him. It's only rock and roll. Peace.

Lord. John Lord.
Probably one of, if not the most influential keyboard players in rock and pop.
Amen to that brother & sisters... bestest B3er in the world jmo !!!!!
very good at lawn bowls too i believe
Jon Lord per la precisione.

Ritchie Blackmore was famous for being a difficult person, but man could he play!!
You were generous. Ritchie was an asshole in person.
Black Sabbath,Led Zeppelin,Deep Purple the holy triad of rock music🤘
I'd add Uriah Heep to that making it a Holy Quad!
KISS
Ritchie Blackmore!!! 🎸🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

Yeah Between 70-75...
Ritchie Blackmore and Jon Lord = the heart and brain of Purple.
R.I.P Jon 🙏

Grew up as a teenager in the 70's listening to all these great groups!!!! Still love the music.
I think Black Oak Arkansas was at one of these CA Jams.

back in the day the big 3 was Deep purple led zeppelin and black sabbath
Great live performance

Stormbringer is the name of a sentient sword that drinks souls and gives strength to whoever wields the sword.
Shortly after, Blackmore formed his own band with Ronnie James Dio on vocals.
Rock on 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Totalmente verdad emoeze a tocar guitarra por DEEP PURPLE💜💜
saw them play it live in 1974

Gillan could sing it all. Coverdale needed Glenn Hughes to do all the higher notes. But than again Glenn did it splendid😈😎🇧🇻
Y no olvidemos a Glenn Hughes, que cantaba muchos temas a medias con Coverdale. La combinación de ambas voces era una maravilla.

YES! My favourite DP line up.
Interesting that this concert was literally in the dead center of the "disco" era [1970 - 1980].
Video from California jam 74 song is a different concert
YESSSSS SIR!!!!!
Next react: Deep Purple Mandrake Root (Live in London, 1970)
Mark III Deep Purple. Mark 11 was a better lineup, but ALL Purple is good. Blackmore is the Best guitarist out of all the big heavy bands of that era
Glenn Hughes 👑
Its video montage from CalJam.
So, its a good opportunity to react "Mistreated" from that gig
50 years ago!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The California Jam was in 1974.

you must react on ritchie's solo from this gig at california jam. just fire!
All it needs is a time machine…the worlds your oyster!
I have three air guitars. I prefer the Stratocaster, but the Gibson , and Ibinez are really cool too!
Ritchie blackmore..the playing Leg end
The images are from California Jamming in 1974 where they didn't play stormbringer The audio is from last concerts of 1975
And then later Richie brought with him the Rainbow to his new band Richie Blackmores Rainbow together with Dio👍😈😎🇧🇻
550000 people, california jam 1974 in california!!!!!!!!!!!!

This should make the current generation understand why we say your new music blows.
David Coverdale and Glen Hughes, the very pinnacle of Deep Purple.

We all do Smoke on the water on guitar even we play or not 😋
live music from Paris 75
Some of us have real guitars with Marshall amps maybe even a Vox and Fender amp on the side just there for a different sound or two
