-Andy from S6 and Jonathon from S9 blaming bad performance on injuries: and both times, GR cites Dave Levey as the rebuttal to said excuses.
-Elizabeth blaming fish for her not being able to cook it

-Johnny claiming his team never told him to sear the fish in S16

An excuse I expected to see was Andy’s excuse during his elimination in Season 6. Not that he DIDN’T cut his hand and that it wasn’t his dominant hand. But when your teammates are Kevin, who sprained his ankle and Dave, The One Armed Bandit, it’s a bad look.

    • @AdderTude

There was another chef in a later season that whined about a supposed injury, only for Gordon to pull him aside into the pantry and frustratedly tell him that Dave won with a broken arm ("I had a young man in here who broke his f***ing arm! He went on to _win_ the competition!").

Too be fair, Andy is a fucking trainwreck in Season 6. He made Dave got humiliated when presented the dessert on calorie challenge by adding Apple Compote on it and made Chef Ramsay laughed because of how pathetic it looks. Then, Chef Ramsay caught not doing anything in the kitchen by wandering around. I personally thinking Robert should've stayed over him on elimination night because even Robert told how pathetic he is in his hillarious rant. But, if Robert didn't have a bad attitude, he would stay over Andy.

I'll Always Laugh At Scott (Season 7) For One Particular Line. On The Night Of His Elimination Before He Was Kicked Out He Said "Don't Make Me Leave Chef The Team Will Die Without Me" Despite How Bad He Was At Cooking. He Was Just Always Coming Up With Excuses, He Thought He Was Amazing And Talented, And He Probably Even Thought He Was A Better Chef Than Gordon Ramsay. Definitely One Of The Top Three Most Delusional Chefs In Hells Kitchen History

I read that Scott has had a very successful career after HK

And he still thinking he's the best chef in both of the team even though he got nominated three times in a row. How pathetic.

I was actually told that cold water was supposed to boil faster than hot water by my teacher and my grandmother. I can't blame Whitney. Yes I found out that it is not the case.

I get what Frank means by the “won because I lost” comment, like she only got the point because he was worse in comparison, but that doesn’t make his line any less iconic 😂

I understand Gordon getting mad at people faking injuries especially since injuries in the kitchen can be really bad, and hazardous when chefs are bleeding everywhere
