@@OmGoshItsWaffles me too but then again, a lot of people consider history to be "boring" so in order to make it exciting for an audience, they gotta change things up and tweak some of the events that actually happened. i'm also sad that a lot of the costumes are inaccurate to the time period or have too much variations on design that make it inaccurate, but i'll take what i can get
Hopefully after he will have broken out of the S.C. mold, but that Scarlett O'Hara line was completely Sheldon Cooper. Just based on the trailer, I think it would have been beneficial for them to have radically changed Jim Parson's look. I get that the movie has to be correct to the period, but the 'White People in charge' line I think is going to polarize audiences today. People won't understand 'That was then...' Today, anyone can succeed with diligence, hard work, self-responsibility, and a belief in oneself. The victim mindset is a thing of the past. I'm afraid today's liberal audiences are still not ready to accept that playing the victim card is old and worn out.
Ryan Murphy actually loves everyone, Darren is repeatin here, but also Jim, Dylan, Patty, plus his long contributions with Jessica Lange,Gwyneth, Sarah... he has this club of actors which i think it make him soo good
*I binge-watched it today and It definitely deserves a bunch of awards. The cast and the plot were just perfect! I'm speechless! Btw, we need more episodes and seasons!*
I was expecting a Tarantino TV series like a continuation or alternative stories of " Once Upon A Time In Hollywood" but instead I got this.. I was not disappointed. Not in the slightest
Binged it all last night. They REALLY should have made it a 10 episode series and SLOW down some of the events. Holy shit, the last three episodes were in hyperspeed. We saw like 5 years go by. Divorces, proposals, marriages, deaths basically within two episodes lol I thought it was interesting how each of the characters and story messages really inter laced. And it's ironic how Jim parsons felt the movie "peg/Meg" was not finished, when I feel this series kind of did the same. I mean it is, but the set up was too fast. Anyways, I digress and did not expect some of what it turned out to be, but enjoyed it! Love that Era with the milkshakes and diner life
I agree! However, I think that's what made it so good!!! It went so fast that you just wanted to keep going until before you know it, it's the last episode. I think it may have been intentional. I also liked that I didn't have to beg for things to happen! OMG! I detest TV shows that are dragged out forever. But I agree though, they should have slowed it down just a bit... at least one more episodes. There was so much happening at once it felt like a marathon. And now, we have to wait for a season two that is not even in production yet...the agony!
Anyone else know it was a Ryan Murphy production before his name even came up? I didn't even know this was a thing till I saw this trailer, but I knew within the first minute it was Ryan's. That speaks volumes. Patti Lupone, ugh I can't wait.
I knew that was Rock Hudson as soon as he said he couldn’t tell people he was gay. He was a really popular actor who sadly passed away at age 59 from AIDS and lung cancer
@@SuperGezmo You gotta understand that gay people exist. If you get so pressed just by seeing them, that's just bigotry. In this case, it's literally on of the main subject matter of the story. i'm a sucker for historical/period shows/films so i'm already sold on this one can't wait to watch it
Same here, esp for depictions of old the Hollywood era. 😎
natalia alianovna I also love this movie genre. What are some of your top movies from this genre you like or recommend?
@@bayceel0s ooh there are so many to choose from but i'd have to say for movies, some of my faves are marie antoinette (2006), the man from u.n.c.l.e. (2015), inglorious basterds (2009), and the pirates of the caribbean franchise. for tv shows, my faves are currently downtown abbey, poldark, victoria (all british period dramas) and contemporary shows such as agent carter. i also watch shows that incorporate history through time travel like timeless (which i'm sad got cancelled after 2 seasons bc it's an amazing show).
Carlos A. The aviator
@@OmGoshItsWaffles me too but then again, a lot of people consider history to be "boring" so in order to make it exciting for an audience, they gotta change things up and tweak some of the events that actually happened. i'm also sad that a lot of the costumes are inaccurate to the time period or have too much variations on design that make it inaccurate, but i'll take what i can get
There’s no way Sheldon Cooper is comfortable around that many people
And he is cursing too!😀
I think jim parsons will be perfect in the movie😍
Millie226 Lol 😂
Eirini Stath it’s a series not a movie
This show reminded me why I'd love to work in the film industry and why I wouldn't.
and why I do not watch perverted Hollywood anymore
Yes me too
OK IM IN LOVE WITH THIS but i thought that the trailer ended like 3 times before it actually happened
it was the music and fadeouts and one liners for sure lol
I have watched this trailer an unhealthily amount of times
Yeah I do it again and again... The whole day at work I thought about it... Damn 😂
Me and I need the music
Saaaame 😩 my hearing is rekt 🤪😍🤩
Ryan Murphy LOVES Darren Criss. Who doesn’t? Talented actor 👍🏼
I thought it read DOES at first.
Ryan Murphy actually loves everyone, Darren is repeatin here, but also Jim, Dylan, Patty, plus his long contributions with Jessica Lange,Gwyneth, Sarah... he has this club of actors which i think it make him soo good
I taught him all he knows.
@@johnneville-andrews8566 Murphy or Criss? I'm guessing the later.
@@accomplice55 You're right, Criss!
Thats exactly what I thought to
Well it’s a Ryan Murphy production (the creator of glee); the creative feel of this series doesn’t surprise me at all.
The thumbnail looks like the same restaurant in Once Upon A Time In Hollywood too...lol.
This seems better than once upon a time in Hollywood I love
Tarantino but didn’t care for that movie too much
HipHopR&BLover Jon I th8nk it is
Why do I feel like Netflix was well prepared for this pandemic period... Damn they got hot things coming every week
Everyone: Darren Criss
Me: PATTI FREAKING LUPONE
YUP!
SAME!
Same dude. Same
Binged it all last night. They REALLY should have made it a 10 episode series and SLOW down some of the events. Holy shit, the last three episodes were in hyperspeed. We saw like 5 years go by. Divorces, proposals, marriages, deaths basically within two episodes lol
I thought it was interesting how each of the characters and story messages really inter laced.
This look like a masterpiece. Also the whole cast is amazing, I can't wait.
Anyone else know it was a Ryan Murphy production before his name even came up? I didn't even know this was a thing till I saw this trailer, but I knew within the first minute it was Ryan's. That speaks volumes. Patti Lupone, ugh I can't wait.
Patti Lupone and Dylan McDermott, what else would it be?
Is it only me or people are forgetting we have jim Parsons in it😱😱😱😱
Its just u.. there are other actors too
A cursing Jim Parsons 🤣🤣🤣
ketan kumar yeaaaahhh we probably forgot intentionally cus Big Bang theory was trash
I knew that was Rock Hudson as soon as he said he couldn’t tell people he was gay. He was a really popular actor who sadly passed away at age 59 from AIDS and lung cancer
Me: omg is that Darren Criss?
Trailer: produced by Ryan Murphy
Me: Of f-cking course
when I saw dylan mcdermot THEN darren criss lol
this movie: period piece, gay, interracial love, QUEEN LATIFAH, underdog story
me: *bows down*
deaf-tomcat huh?
interracial love isn’t groundbreaking
Gay people: *starts shove their interested down our throats*
@@SuperGezmo Exactly, and that's apart from the fact that @deaf-tomcat is visually deaf. It isn't a movie, it's a limited series.
@@SuperGezmo You gotta understand that gay people exist. If you get so pressed just by seeing them, that's just bigotry. In this case, it's literally on of the main subject matter of the story. "behind the gilded curtain of Hollywood's Golden Age, spotlighting the unfair systems and biases across race, gender and sexuality"
Love the music at 2:10 Immediately made my interest in the movie go up
Same
🤣🤣👍🏾 Same.... (I dont want to be that person 😬) but it's a miniseries not a movie
Yeah that shit slaps. Especially when the beat drops @ 2:21
3 episodes in.... Give Jim Parsons the Emmy and Golden Globe NOW!!! Wow!!
He LITERALLY should be a song away from an EGOT 🤩😍🤯
Why isn’t this called “Dreamland”...
Exactly. Like....what's the point of the beginning, and the whole "rewrite history" if you aren't gonna name it that...da fuq
I think because all of the bad things that they are going through, cause everyone knows Hollywood is a dreamland but also very dramatic and dark on the inside
Should’ve been called that since this is a reimagining of Hollywood.
I'd say possibly because there was already a film in the making the time of filming called 'Dreamland' starring Margot Robbie.
I'm up for anything that has LA Noire feel to it. This era is amazing.
We need LA Noire 2.
Check out LA confidential if you haven't already.
Daniel Knight love that movie! Got any more recommendations?
Cèline . Chinatown with Jack Nicholson and Faye Dunaway.
HipHopR&BLover Jon thank you!
I should have expected it to take a turn but I was still shook
A show where I literally fell in love with every single character. Also, very timely and relevant for BLM protest and Pride Month.
Hmmmm a nice peaceful protest!!
3 years later: blm imploded. Pride Month is an embarrassment to intelligent gay people.
THIS TRAILER OMGGG! Having that iconic score in the background just makes it so much better!!! Can't wait
The score😘
Alec K-B what is the score called??
Christopher Glaittli in the mood by someone miller
In the Mood - Glenn Miller one of my favourite songs!
Lizzie Mojibade thank you. I found some cool remixes to this song! We just need someone to recreate the deep orchestra version on the trailer. SO GOOD though!
Now THIS is how you make a trailer!!
Glad to see the girl from Spiderman: Homecoming in here she did a great job and I know she'll do great in here as well!
Yes! I love Laura Harrier
You should watch BlacKkKlansman. She’s great in that too.
Just finished watching, I'm keeping it on "my list" for a re-watch, it's well worth it😘 There had better be awards awarded for this🏆
Periodt
I don’t know why this trailer’s background is giving me goosebumps!
MR_scavenger Gaming It’s produced by @Oh1music
I watched the whole thing in less than a day. And now... 2h later I wanna watch it again!
Me, too! Haha I wish It had more episodes and seasons...
Oh god this is the biggest mood ever
Netflix be like:
Don't die on me. See, here's a new trailer. Hold onto your life. Don't lose hope.
LOL the only thing i live for anymore, tbh
This GODLY EDITED AND SCORED TRAILER is what sold this whole series!!!
So far it's a solid B-/B show, but does anyone else just love the opening credits scene?
It's unique and the score is everything. 💯
i usually skip intos, but this is the one show where i can watch it over and over again, and i even got upset when i got distracted and accidentally missed it once. idk what it is about it haha
She's god-damned Scarlett O'Hara!
I’m so excited to see David Corenswet have a larger role.
it's saddening how underrated this show is
Saw Darren Criss
Executive producer: Ryan Murphy
Me: of course it is.
Ryan Murphy's obsessed with Darren Criss, he's in most of his show. Like all of us.

Waaouuuuuv, the cast is so finee man. It's gonna be quite something I'm guessing. High expectation from you guys... ❤️
Where your profile pic from? It's awesome
I just got chills watching this, what a well done trailer.
I live in Hollywood, moved here from a small town and this comes out on my birthday.
Darren Criss is in this? Then I HAVE to watch 😏
Instant boner
