    Yeeeessssss Omega Constellation Globemaster represent!
    Owned my blue dial SS on bracelet and official leather strap since 2017, and it will remain with me for the rest of my life.
    One of my favourite and super versatile timepiece I own and truly champion it as a wonderful alternative Omega option.
    Thank you for covering it in your awesome list!

    Lol Teddy loves his Globemaster. I do think it’s one of the coolest Omegas!

    The Globemaster is in a class of its own - gorgeous dial, elegant, and with a movement that's superior to what you find in watches costing ten times the price. If I was going to plunk down $7k on a watch, that's by far the most I could get for the money - and it gets admiring looks, as opposed to the eye-rolls that a blingy Rolex inspires.

    • @1physics
      @1physics 2 года назад

      But most rolexes aren't blingy and most people don't notice them except their owners. I do love that omega Globemaster though 🙂

    The Omega Globemaster in blue was my first luxury watch that I bought! I got it on the bracelet but I also got the leather strap.

    I have to agree with the Globemaster. This is a classic style watch with a modern movement. I have it in the leather strap and it remains my favourite in the collection. The pie pan dial is just gorgeous. I only recall seeing one in the wild and that's mine, odd as it gets plenty of complements for being elegant but also restrained. All good choices Teddy.

  • @MetaGameRus

    As for me there’s a whole major brand that is definitely overlooked. It’s Breguet. It has history, unique style and the level of craftsmanship plus attention to details that’s just incredible! Breguet Tradition for example is an exceptional timepiece that’s just pure class while having some fair pricing at the same time
    I’m also happy to own Breguet Marine 5817 which is one of the most beautiful and tasteful blend of dress + sporty watch. I’m still wondering why are those watches not having the attention it deserves.

    • @JohnDoe-yd7zm
      @JohnDoe-yd7zm 2 года назад +4

      I grew up in a country where "Breguet" is associated with the tippy top of the watch hierarchy. Synonymous with "luxury." Pretty sure Breguet gets plenty of attention in Europe, maybe they just haven't been aggressively marketing as much in other places. If anyone wants to talk about "history" in watchmaking, no conversation is complete without Breguet.

    • @mrinaalkaimal9859
      @mrinaalkaimal9859 2 года назад +4

      @@JohnDoe-yd7zm Breguet is definitely part of the “top luxury” brands. More for their horological importance than their sales or the number of units sold.

    • @MetaGameRus

      @Ugg Calisthenics coach PhD Bio 🧪 I guess that being boring or not is a subjective thing. As for my taste Datejust or OP is what I would consider a bit boring and too plain in trems of design. But still Breguet's historical value is very decent and it's watchmaking skills are impressive

    Agree completely on all your choices Teddy, and a particular mention for the Milgauss and the Globemaster - both watches that have defied their manufacturer's tendencies to over enlarge and over decorate their more popular sports models.

  • @siongheeleong8078
    @siongheeleong8078 2 года назад +16

    From the brands mentioned, I agree with most of those that was mentioned except for the Omega Globemaster and the Rolex Explorer II. Omega's most underrated watch is the Omega DeVille Tresor. It's Omega's classic-style dress watch. The watch is relatively slim at 10.3mmm for a Coaxial Master Chronometer as it is manual-winding compared to the thicker automatic Coaxial Master Chronometer calibres. The attention is so much on the Speedmasters and Seamasters. A case could even be made for the current Constellation being underrated in Western markets. The Constellation does sell very well in Asian countries. Meanwhile for Rolex, it is the Milgaus that is more underrated than the Explorer II. The Explorer II is fairly popular and sells quite a fair bit. The Cellini is a non-starter since it is underwhelming instead of being underrated.

  • @jessem_i31
    @jessem_i31 2 года назад +10

    The Omega Constellation, in my opinion, is very overlooked. It's such a beautiful watch, the iconic claws on the bezel are pretty unique and have always drawn my attention. Also the roman numerals on the bezel look fantastic. The Constellation is one of the very few watches I like in two tone to boot!

  • @stephen9609
    @stephen9609 2 года назад +1

    I think the reason why these get overlooked is because most people don't have an unlimited budget to spend on watches... so if you're only going to buy 1 Omega, it's likely going to be the Speedmaster or Seamaster. You're likely going to be getting the Navitimer from Breitling or the Reverso from JLC. Unless you REALLY love a particular brand, you're not likely going to buy their 3rd or 4th most popular model

    Rolex: Yatch master 40 is way superior than submariner
    VC : 56 date-day- power reserve

    Tudor : Royal 38 mm in blue
    Omega : sea master 300 ( The specter type) in titanium

    That Rose Gold Vacheron Constantin Traditionnelle 38mm with a black dial is my favorite of all those shown, but a VC that I like as well or maybe even better is the Vacheron Constantin Fiftysix., 40mm with a stainless steel case and blue dial. And it's about the least expensive VC I've seen with an MSRP of $12,500 USD. (Thought I'd love to have that blue dial with a rose gold case.

    I also love the Globemaster, but the one hesitation I have with it is that it looks similar to the Datejust, but the price ratio vs the equivalent Rolex isn't as good as with the Seamaster, Speedmaster and arguably Aqua Terra. It looks great and is not badly priced by any stretch (and it's personally on my radar to potentially buy) but I feel like the other Omega watches may offer better value for money. That might by why it isn't as well loved as some of the other models.

    Nice video. I also loved the Tudor Heritage Chrono and Breitling Premier. For my own brand and collection, I get that watch fan circle has mixed, if not tilting towards negative, view of TAG Heuer, but one collection that I think people have overlooked (as they favored the Aquaracer, Formula 1, and Chronograph watchs more) is the Link collection. My parents purchased my first expensive watch for me 10 years ago as high school graduation gift, and it was a TAG Heuer Link Dual Time WJF 2116.BA0570. I've been wearing it for a decade (and I still do today) but only until recently did I start to appreciate the price-performance ratio of this watch as I ventured into watch collecting. "Office" GMT, date window, 200m of water resistance with screwed-down crown, 39mm dial, about 12mm thickness, it is a perfect substitution for Rolex Explorer II with extra water resistance as well. Also, Link bracelet was among the top 3 most comfortable and iconic bracelet selections I've ever experienced. Sadly the entire Link collection dappears to be gradually fading away from TAG Heuer's brand image. I wish they could reconsider this decision and revive the collection.

    I may need to add a globemaster to my collection. The tungsten bezel will match my tungsten rings.

    Funny you say Milgauss and Explorer II for Rolex. Those are my favorite Rolex and I got them both (the z-blue Milgauss and Polar Exp II) from the same AD last year . Right now the Polar Exp II is my favorite overall watch that sits in my collection and the z-blue Milgauss is the first Rolex I actually wanted and pursued.

    Not sure why you had to plug in the Millgaus or Explorer as underrated, they're not plain and simple. They may not be as popular as other Rolex models but they are plenty popular in comparison to other brands. But as you said your channel your show so do as you wish =) I do agree the Globemasters are very unnoticed by Omega as is the Deville line. Great pieces but hardly ever mentioned. I feel like JLC is underrated as a brand or unnoticed I hardly ever see one in person or if I mention the name even some watch folks I know never heard of them.

    Is this an old video? I own the Pistachio Breitling and it was released in 2020 and Teddy said it was “just unveiled”

    3:48 The fluted bezel spoils the look of the Globemaster piepan.

    I'm a big fan of yours Teddy but in this review I think you underplayed the issue with jlc. The reason that they're not more popular is pretty simple they are primarily a dress watch company and while most of us can appreciate a good dress watch, when you're spending a certain amount of money, unless you're super rich, you're going to want a more versatile watch which is why dive watches and field/tool everyday watches are getting most of the attention because you can easily dress those up or just keep them on the bracelet and they will be good in any position. Whereas if you buy a dress watch you're going to use it on very rare occasions so unless they pivot and start putting out some more Sports models. They're not really going to grow much more it's just not a good Financial proposition for the general public to buy a jlc.

    Great video as always and an interesting topic.
    You didn't mention the Rolex Air-King which proves that it's literally overlooked and the Black Bay P01 from Tudor.

    Suprised Calatrava wasn't mentioned. Elipse is at the very end of the popularity specutrum, like the air king or yachtmaster.

    Global master is an awesome watch but when I went to a boutique to try out, I don’t get a good service from them thus the experience is really bad on omega impressions.
