I just installed these as well. I had the Pentair microbrites the housing cracked on both of them as well. Installing these saved me $900+ vs Pentair

Thank you for the video, it’s a life saver, I’ve had similar led lights in my amazon cart for a while and didn’t buy them because I couldn’t find anyone doing what you just did, thank you! I need to replace 8 globrite pentair and resisted to pay so much money on them.
What did you use the sealant tape on?

I received my lights but no remote? Are you using your existing Pentair remote to turn on and off??

Update: I got a quote from the company that installed my lights to replace them. Over $3000! Pretty good racket they have going on if they get to do this for hundreds of customers every 2-3 years.

@@BlazerRox don't do it. Find a solution using the many ip68 lights being sold by numerous Chinese companies for a fraction (the real cost). Pentair is a scam company

I see you're having as much fun with Pentair products as I am. I had the same issue with these lights...same crack... replaced one with the microbright, but next time I will check these out. I was in the middle of designing a direct replacement using color high power led surface mounts and a microcontroller to read the proprietary Pentair algorithm that changes the colors..pita. it's on hold now as I don't have the time. The other day, the protocol module died (box that has the ethernet jack and hooks to the transceiver)...again, proprietary $400 part that literally has $10 worth of surface mount electronics.... Ic40 salt cell died twice prematurely...$1200.... i tried taking it apart...haha, lol...its bathed in epoxy....off brand cells don't interface with the automation.. I designed and printed a plastic cover to shield it from the rain as water ingress was the cause of one of the failures...I have a feeling Pentair sues anyone that tries to make compatible hardware. In Orlando as well. Great videos, subscribed

@somaliskinnypirate if you saw my other Pentair videos, I’ve fixed a few other issues with my control board. The RS485 chip died after lightning storm and my relay transistors died but luckily both were easy cheap fixes. I have these new Amazon light on every night at sunset til midnight and no issues. Just no color change. I just have the one MicroBrite for color change.

@TunerwithKids just ordered the lights (normal white) from Aliexpress. Had to dig, but like $15 a piece with free shipping...same exact ones. There are others from the same manufacturer but are only IP67.
