    What I’d give to hear Jon Miller and Joe Morgan call another game on ESPN Sunday Night Baseball. Great childhood memories of those two as well as these Yankees!

    Back when the NYY only problem was advancing in the playoffs after (again) winning the Eastern Division.

      True. Pitching was the Achilles heel back then. If only they had 1 other elite pitcher to put in that rotation with Chien Ming Wang and a couple of solid guys in the middle of that bullpen, there's no doubt they shake up the playoff picture drastically back then.

    Damn. Willie Randolph and El Duqué as Mets. Is this an alternate universe?

      Pitching. The 2004-2007 Yankees could score 10 runs any given night but their Pitching was always mediocre at best. Obviously their offense did dissappear in the 06 playoffs midway through game 2 of the ALDS. But pitching was generally their weakness. Also, I do think Kenny Rogers was cheating, he was way too good out of nowhere after a subpar career. There was some controversy with that substance he was reportedly using.

    Say what you will about Jason Giambi's up and down time in New York, but he always had his teammates' backs no matter what. 4:52 he quickly went to the defense of Arod. LoDuca backed off as soon as Giambi came for him 😆

    • @hmhm856
      @hmhm856 Год назад +5

      Giambi was always loved by his teammates in each team he played in his career (Oakland, Yankees, Cleveland, Colorado). Im surprised that he never got a manager job (there were rumors that he was once close to get the Rockies or Cleveland manager roles).

    And to think the Mets had a 4-0 lead and were ready to take 2 of 3
    In 2006, Mets lost two games to the Yankees when the Mets were leading by four runs: the game on this video, and one game at Shea that Pedro pitched a gem but the bullpen blew it.

    I don't understand why LoDuca got mad at Arod? The bat flip wasn't even a real bat flip. Unless maybe Arod said something but it doesn't look like Arod said much either.

    • @hmhm856
      @hmhm856 2 года назад +5

      It was a bit of a cocky bat-flip along with the staring, but it was a grand slam to give the Yankees the lead. And Lo Duca was always a hot-head, so everything ticks him off
