When looking for a certain item it is not unusual to message several sellers at once to find the best deal. But doing so seems to get you banned? If you are a small trader local deals are going to be your bread and butter, but Facebook seem to not want you messaging several people at once or sending too many messages in quick successio, it is normal for a buyer to ask a seller questions before deciding whether or not to commit to buy/sell an item. This seems stupid for a company who's business is social networking and communication. Saying to just wait is ridiculous, if you are mid way through making a deal you could lose money.
didn't complete the steps because when it got nearly to the end the address it provided for me which wasn't the one I gave them it said 1 hacked way something like that and the state was California I never put that address in

I got shadowbanned in the facebook marketplace last month. I am selling LED tv's that I got in bulk from an auction. The algorithm thinks that I am selling an illegal weapon because in the title I indicated the size of the TV. I have to wait 45 days for my account to turn back to normal. so here are some additional tips 1) avoid using the word *INCH* when selling a tv or a monitor. (it will be flagged) 2) Avoid using *ALL CAPS* in the title and in the description 3) as much as possible avoid using the word *LIKE NEW 100& BRAND NEW or ALMOST NEW* 4) do not try to use another account while using the same IP. tried it once, it was shadowbanned too. 5) avoid listing multiple items at the same time.

CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT: If ever there was a case involving many clients with real monetary losses, by a company with deep pockets, this would be it. I did a search and surprisingly there is NO lawsuit for the capricious, malicious, ham-fisted and opaque practice of banning sellers AND BUYERS with no explanation and no opportunity to defend oneself. I'm not a pro seller, just a hobbyist, and was banned on my first listing for being "deceptive" and not following "community standards". I wasn't given the courtesy of any explanation or allowed access to the form where you can express your objection. Come on, lawyers, you are the only real solution to this abuse.
totally banned forever and every time I request for a review, it's still denied because I have listings that has been banned but cannot be deleted since marketplace has been already banned permanently. how do I erased my listings to request another review?
I have the same problem, been banned for 5 years, couldnt sell on groups either, then a while after I could sell in buy/sell groups for past few years, I tried getting them to review and still get same automated response and that it is the final decision. Now I cant even access to sell from buy/sell groups so frustrating. I was never notified what listings and what I violated. I dont think I violated any of the policies
Click your account picture > Settings & privacy > Activity log > Logged actions and other activity > Marketplace listings Thepage you end up on will be a list of your posted marketplace listings, listed by date. You can click the 3 dots ... to the right of any listing and click Delete to remove it. I believe deleting them from here is the only place that truly fully removes them off of Facebook and you can still access this location even when banned from Marketplace.

Nothing works! I lost my Marketplace access for NO reason. Last week my account was locked for suspicious activity, and I was able to go through the steps to get back on, but my MP was blocked? Been selling on facebook marketplace for quite some time now, and been through a lot of trial and error. Initially started selling from my personal account back when marketplace was relatively unpolished (early 2018, you could get banned in less than 5 min for simply making a listing that got flagged as going against market policies (because the algorithm decided), and made a few thousand in few months, however, my personal account was victim to the "unpolished" algorithm, and was quickly "1st strike" banned (I say 1st strike because I could still appeal it- pretty sure the second time that happened I could appeal too. Not until the 3rd time, at least back then, will the message appear "we took a second look at your listings and they dont follow the commerce policies", I have primarily only sold clothing, in no way was I violating any commerce or marketplace policies), afterwards i have been using a friends Facebook account, and his marketplace to sell items from. Also around the time I first started getting banned on my personal, made a secondary account, which was eventually granted marketplace access within the time period of about 2 or 3 months, roughly. I did try to "warm up" this new account by posting memes or whatever and adding people on it frequently. As it stands now, my personal account is still basically perma banned from marketplace for seemingly no reason I can't appeal it or access marketplace in any way on mobile or PC, and I have had my marketplace access removed on my secondary and my friends account at least once, but appealed it, and got it back. Currently when I post listings it varies in views on both, but if I type any "brand name" (Ray Ban, Nike, Adidas), the listing immediately gets flagged. To expirement I've submitted at "something isn't working" support ticket and asked them to review it or why the listing is being placed instantly "under review", I assumed that leaving it for the mods/algorithm to "review" would just lead to getting banned/unable to access marketplace, but on a pair of ray bans that was immediately flagged, I came back to it later and saw it was approved, but had practically no views. It seems like them approving it still killed the viewability of the listing I have been actively searching for more recent opinions and advice on marketplace, as it and it's algorithm are changing almost weekly/monthly it seems, so I thank you for posting this and giving an in depth account of your experience on marketplace. Most of the advice or help videos are quite dated, and not really relevant anymore. As you referenced other sites having a similar "ban tier" system, it makes sense that facebook would use the same thing, my experience selling (and getting banned lol) on it corresponds with this theory. At this point I've even went as far as looking at buying aged accounts with marketplace access to hopefully get a "fresh start" and more views, but haven't actually followed through with buying any, they are very cheap however. There is truth to facebook logging IP addresses, so in logging into two different accounts on the same device, I may be getting myself flagged in some way. As facebook is basically "baked" into every phone nowadays im not sure a VPN would cut it. I doubt there will ever be a guide or even general outline to how to not get flagged, like you said that would defeat the purpose of an algorithm lol but videos like this are about the closest thing we'll get to it. I simply deleted my facebook account when suddenly I got fully banned from Facebook Market place because I was selling some knives. People sell knives on Facebook all over but that is another story. First I placed my ad with the title " Knives for sale". That got deleted by Facebook. Then I listed it as "Miscellanous for sale".. That is when I got fully banned from the Marketplace. So I decided to totally deleted my account. I figured I will wait for 45 days before opening a new account. A month has passed so far. So in a couple of weeks I will find out what happens as I will open a new account and I will probably use a different email address too. According to their policy it says it takes 30 days for the account to be fully removed from their system. In other words within 30 days if you decide to log in you will stil have access to your account. So this means that deleting is no different than deactivating. And after 30 days, it takes up to 90 days to remove everything from their system.... all the pictures, files etc. And after that there is still a back up coppies in case of law enforcement inquiry. So in other words... you will never ever be permanently totally cleaned from their system. There is no telling as to when you are actually finished and no trace of you will be found on Facebook. The only time nobody can do shit to you is when you are dead. HERE IS FROM THEIR POLICY PAGE: "Can I cancel my account deletion? If it's been less than 30 days since you initiated the deletion, you can cancel your account deletion. After 30 days, your account and all your information will be permanently deleted, and you won't be able to retrieve your information. It may take up to 90 days from the beginning of the deletion process to delete all the things you've posted. While we're deleting this information, it's not accessible to other people using Facebook. Copies of your information may remain after the 90 days in backup storage that we use to recover in the event of a disaster, software error, or other data loss event. We may also keep your information for things like legal issues, terms violations, or harm prevention efforts. "

I simply deleted my facebook account when suddenly I got fully banned from Facebook Market place because I was selling some knives. People sell knives on Facebook all over but that is another story.
First I placed my ad with the title " Knives for sale". That got deleted by Facebook.
Then I listed it as "Miscellanous for sale".. That is when I got fully banned from the Marketplace.
So I decided to totally deleted my account. I figured I will wait for 45 days before opening a new account. A month has passed so far. So in a couple of weeks I will find out what happens as I will open a new account and I will probably use a different email address too.
According to their policy it says it takes 30 days for the account to be fully removed from their system. In other words within 30 days if you decide to log in you will stil have access to your account. So this means that deleting is no different than deactivating.
And after 30 days, it takes up to 90 days to remove everything from their system.... all the pictures, files etc. And after that there is still a back up coppies in case of law enforcement inquiry. So in other words... you will never ever be permanently totally cleaned from their system. There is no telling as to when you are actually finished and no trace of you will be found on Facebook.
The only time nobody can do shit to you is when you are dead.
HERE IS FROM THEIR POLICY PAGE:
"Can I cancel my account deletion?
If it's been less than 30 days since you initiated the deletion, you can cancel your account deletion. After 30 days, your account and all your information will be permanently deleted, and you won't be able to retrieve your information.
It may take up to 90 days from the beginning of the deletion process to delete all the things you've posted. While we're deleting this information, it's not accessible to other people using Facebook.
Copies of your information may remain after the 90 days in backup storage that we use to recover in the event of a disaster, software error, or other data loss event. We may also keep your information for things like legal issues, terms violations, or harm prevention efforts. "
