I have had this lens since Jan 2021. I made a few YT Vids about it. It is a great lens. I bought a little a5100 body for it ... It is great handheld, or on a gimbal. I use the 23mm and the Sony G 18-105 for nearly everything. I also have a 12mm but have found the 23mm is more versatile. Your show is always good -- thanks.
Good to hear, I've been impressed so far with its performance. It's sharper, and has a faster autofocus than I was expecting. It's definitely going to be a well used lens for me going forward!
So cute cat, I liked that you love animals. So happy with the ZV-E10. This lens looks very nice might consider one from used market some day. Nice guitar, Cheers!
i'm a newbie in using a camera and prime lenses. my wife bought me my zv e10 last year, and she bought a sony e 50mm f1.8 oss. this lens is too tight with equivalent to 75mil. that is why i bought the viltrox 23mm f1.8 for a little wider framing. again, im new to prime lenses. my question is: why is my viltrox not autofocusing on the subject i place at the middle? i had to touch focus the spot on the lcd? is that normal? also, while watching this (your video), i'm seeing a breathing vignetting around you... is this because of the len's vignetting, or an exposure related matter? thanks...
Definitely applies. I think it's the only fast aperture 35mm equivalent lens available for the E-Mount. I super confused between the 23mm viltrox vs 30mm sigma, both close in price, but viltrox is much more versatile however not sure about after sales support.
I have a Viltrox 23mm 1.4 e-mount with updated firmware, on my Sony a6600 I have some problems with AF-C (even in AF-S actually) but only when I use the camera vertically. I state that I tested the problem even in perfect daylight conditions. But let's get to the point. If horizontally The focus is almost always perfect, a marvel! in portrait mode it is almost never right, it starts a focus breathing loop, constantly, with small and very fast movements, even having the square in the person's eye .. and when it finally confirms, the focus is wrong or slightly wrong and , only rarely, completely right. Has anyone else had this experience?
While reviewing APSC lens, it’s coming that people have equivalent focal length but who don’t they also give you an equivalent aperture!! This is not a 1.4 lens f2 lens full frame equivalent
Think you'll pick this lens up, or giving it a miss? Let me know!

I think it focuses on your hands because of product showcase being on?
Is this lens good to film a full body video with 10 ft distance between the camera and subject?
What is about working with old fashioned Sony NEX cameras? Is autofocus reliable in photo AF-S mode?
How is the continous AF performance for photo of this lens?

I bought the 23mm 1.4 lens on my ZV e10 upon slapping the lens. Aperture Dial isnt working only the aperture ring. Any thoughts?
The aperture ring will override the dial. To use the dial, keep the aperture ring in the 'A' position.
@@ArronPrescott Thank you so much! I didnt noticed the A in the dial LOL
Does the (1.5 Crop Factor) apply? To the 23mm? Like the whole ( 23mm x 1.5 = 34.5mm)?? Basically making it a 35mm?

What is the difference between this one with the white lettering of the af 23 1.4 writing and the one with the Gold lettering in the af 23mm 1.4 ?????
White is MARK 2..Upgrade version of the gold
