Should have had some air brakes in the tail or what?;-) What Toliss has done for me, is something I think is worth way more than money: Stability. As great as Fenix and PMDG is, the frequency of CTDs and issues with those airplanes compared to Toliss is quite remarkable. I have now logged about 150 hours in the Toliss (319, 321 and 21N) and I had a CTD ONCE. And all I had to do was load up the sim again and load the flight up right where it crashed, and complete it. That was great! I like Toliss. Have not bought the A340, but I just might because I want to support them all the way.
For me the ToLiss offers a lot for people looking to really practice the airbus. The ability to save situations and setups in such detail, and instantly respawn into them is remarkable and very powerful. Thanks for watching!
agree, toliss is the only in depth airbus simulation i am aware off that has good performance too (flabs, fenix and ff a320 are all performance heavy while toliss runs like a charm). Additionally it is just insanely well integrated in the xp sim environment with all the animations (flaps, winglex, spoilers, etc) working correctly in replay mode (a lot of the other 3rd party aircraft cant do that) and the save states and failures work extremely well too.
Really interesting thanks. The more I learn about being an airline pilot, the more I realise I don't know.... so many elements to it, incredible. I hadn't even considered for example, there would be a checklist for de icing, now you've explained it, of course there would be! Then there is dealing with the passengers side of it all, a skill in itself...Such a fantastic subject, aviation. Thanks for sharing your knowledge. Toliss looks great.
In your honest opinion, out of Toliss A320 Neo, the Flight Factor A320 and the Fenix A320 , which one them would you say is the best addon so far and why? And I mean every aspect included, systems, modeling, sounds, failures, everything.
Great review! Any chance you could make an unreliable airspeed tutorial? Both with the Neo with the BUSS and the Ceo without? It looks like a very important and interesting topic!
I wish I could get an explanation on the dirty looking windscreen once the plane is in the air. Is it perhaps the cockpit colours affecting it or is there some adjustment that I haven't found?
You're welcome! I have done a lot of streams in MSFS, I just haven't done many videos lately in either sim! More MSFS content to come though and I certainly haven't given up on it! Thanks for watching.
Just bought and flew this plane... $89 US or about $130 Canadian! ugh - exchange rate killing us! I flew it a few times now and honestly, don't see alot of difference to the A319 or A321 Tolisses for XP 12 - still a good plane though and my goto for Xplane are the ToLiss aircraft!
I am using both XP12 and MSFS. Currently, I am planning to buy the best A320 for one of these platforms (only one at the beginning 😉 ). Fenix A320 - MSFS or Toliss A320 Neo ??? Please help me make a decision... ;-)
You keep the aircraft at the target green arrow in the landing config. Remember the BUSS uses angle of attack which is more important for identifying a stall than airspeed! It just isn't as good for speed control/aircraft separation etc.
The ToLiss planes were in my opinion, the best planes in Xplane 11. I still fly in Xplane 11 as XP12 just has poor visuals... the trees are very fragmented, the clouds are awful and unrealistic, and the dashboards of the aircraft seem dark and fuzzy. I like to view my cockpit at 103 degree FOV so sit further back, but XP11 did fine with this. I am very disaapointed with XP12 and do hope they bring it up some notches before i shell out the (estimated) $89 US for this plane....(or so I have been told).... Also - as always - great videos! Thanks again!
It‘s look like we don‘t use the same sim. XP12 is clearly better than XP11. And the clouds and the weather engine is at least one step above XP11. The lighting and colours are superb! I could not go back to the poor 2D-clouds being deleted and built up all 10 minutes and without any turbulence-effects…and many other things much better in XP12, except the VR and antialiasing.
@@rangerrick8220 same here. I can not get xp12 to run without horrendous blurring of flight-deck textures, tried adjusting all settings on a very able pc. Running xp11 fine. I’d love xp12 to work for me. I loved my Toliss on xp11 but right now I’m just not prepared to chuck any more money at xp12.
@@DesiroDriver I agree... I stay primarily with XP11... I have MSFS and the Fenix A320 but I always come back to XP 11.... maybe with some updates XP12 will come around. And I think this new plane will work in Xp11 as wel l - I thought I heard someone say...
@@rangerrick8220 same here. MSFS and the Fenix too. As much as I’ve enjoyed them I do hope XP12 improves with updates. I kinda want to have both options.
@@RyanZ225_PC I don't know how, but apparently its possible to change the colour of the number displays in the auto pilot heading/altitude/speed displays in the real aircraft.
@@jjsmallpiece9234 I don’t think so. Just so you know, there are different types of FCU’s. The older ones have a red-ish background and the newer ones have a green-ish background.
Not gonna lie, I’m still not a fan of those engine sounds. Sure they use some high quality samples but the engine pitch is still incorrect and they need to actually take the time to adjust the curves for the sound pitch so it actually sounds right. I’m also not a fan of the gap between each thrust lever, it just doesn’t look right in my opinion and I hope they fix “QVFY” MCDU button because its not “Qverfly”. Otherwise, I think the textures look very nice, just wish they made a CEO variant too.
A lot better. Graphically it obviously isn't as great as the MSFS FBW one but the handling and systems is much more in depth. Don't get me wrong, I love the FBW A320 with the amount of work they have done on it and for it being free, that one is so amazing! I still use it to this day whenever I am switching between sims but in general ToLiss is much better. Ground handling, flight dynamics, systems, etc.
@@pilot.sergio4 I would say the systems on this and fbw are almost the same. Fbw have done excellent work lately. I do agree on the flight model though
(Trigger warning) The cockpit looks weird. Also the spool up gets old, it’s just on and off and doesn’t give off realistic vibes. I’ll pass on this one for now.
I dislike how bad the visual fidelity is compared to Microsoft Flight Simulator which came out two years before, while arguably X-Plane is the better flight sim. I also can't find any official visual packs and since the engine is proprietary it's unlikely users will be able to make meaningful changes.
Excellent overview of the unreliable airspeed procedure and the new fast/slow strip. Looking forward to full video on this topic

The old GNADIRS in the CEO can give a GPS-based ground speed when all pitot tubes are blocked. But that unreliable airspeed ribbon is better.
Did they add the rotation law ?

You have a difficult choice to make my friend! Both are really excellent.
Why does the aileron’s not go up on landing in the toliss 321?
If you mean the CEO I think you need to select that option in the ISCS
Of course this isn’t a deal breaker at all, but out of curiosity do the circuit breakers work?
Yes some of them do. I know the ones overhead do
How do you land with the Speed "tape" in BUSS mode? You need more reliable than "near stall speed" when landing dont you?
