I am a real world Airline pilot with thousands of hours flying the real aircraft and thought it would be fun to have a look at the detailed simulations of airliners in MSFS and X Plane. Hopefully you find this useful and it brings another perspective to your simulation. Any thoughts or comments are welcome!

Absolutely wonderful, filled in some gaps I had learning this.
I am glad it's useful! Thanks for watching Jeff, it is an honour for me!
Great video, thank you! Small nitpick: I don´t know if it has something to do with your recording software, but the mouse cursor is always off the button / option you are clicking. I found myself mumbling "WTF is he doing" for a minute or two at the beginning 🤣
I was about to write exactly the same. Absolutely great video but with you seeming to keep clicking on 'wrong' buttons all the time (below the buttons you are actually clicking) makes it a bit harder to follow, probably because of the recording software 🙂
May well be that, or he has lens correction on within the sim which causes some distortion.
Lens correction maybe?
@@antoniosimon9412 yep
I was about to write it as well.
I think the problem occurs when the base and output resolution of recording software, and the one of the monitor are different.
Hi Captain, You are thé best instructor ever 👏 👏 👏 !!! I’ve been watching ma-ny videos/streams but no-one explains an aircraft like you do. It’s very nice to understand, not “overspeeding” spoken and in the meantime relaxing, as I am not English native. I just love your videos and streams. Best regards from Belgium 🇧🇪.
You are so right! Absolutely brilliant.
same here i hate when they put the turbo on lol, btw i am from Belgium too and coming back to boeing from the a320/330 is not simple, so a good instructor is paramount.
I flippin love this channel! Everything explained in such a calm and clear way. Also, when a real world airline pilot is getting so excited/enthusiastic about an add on, it must be good! What a brilliant instructor. Thankyou so much Cap! Really appreciate it.
Thank you Nick, pleased to hear you’re enjoying them!
idk what it is but i find your videos so relaxing even tho im not even planning to buy the 777 nor do i really have much time to flight sim but i still found myself watching the whole video
I think its something about the voice of the pilot, calm and forthcoming :-)
Legend! Thanks for getting this out so quickly 👍
That mouse coursor is a bit missleading.. it shows a "line" below what you really click :)
Thanks for the video! I learned pretty much everything about the A320 from your channel, and now I got the 777 airborne from cold and dark. Beautiful aircraft by the way!
Thanks!!!! Learned everything about the airbus on your channel now looking forward to you going thru the Boeing :)))
Wonderful stuff Cpt. Please keep 'em coming lol
Perfect video (as usual) to wait for the download link to come!
Love your tutorials
Glad you like them!
Very clear explanation! Enjoyed it as well. Thanks for the detailed information!
Keep coming up with new stuff about 777. Absolute lovely dear 329 Sim Pilot
Many thanks!
Always the best detailed videos. Thank you
You the man. Thank you very much for this. Looking forward to the next drops
Excellent walkthrough on the setup on the B777
thank you !
C
Very welcome!
Great video as always
Tbh, his videos are always a nice flow.
best videos for learning!! makes everything so understandable
Thank you!
This looks great!
Brilliant tutorial, thank you so much!
You're very welcome!
Thank you! perfectly explained!
I like how logical Boeings are
So excited for this to drop this evening
The only thing dropping is a turd on your face
Being T/R on the 767/300 (thank you Matteo Chewy), the systems seem to operate in a very similar fashion, so no major shocks so far. I think that getting the TCA responses correctly configured will greatly enhance the realism (ergo immersion). Really looking forward to first flight and subsequent long hauls. Great tutorial, thank you Captain. Look forward to the next episode…..👍
Been good weather in the uk bit hot in the house as you know 🤣, but amazing video keep it up
Anyone think Engine sounds need improvment ?
Really underwhelming for their abysmal price tag
@@Tpr_1808lol
@@Tpr_1808fr they delayed it multiple times as well everything should be spot on by now
@@Tpr_1808oh relax, we don’t even know the real price yet. The engines are just fine, not to mention the insane amount of other features it comes with.
Everyone does, but the lord Mathijs doesn’t because we’re not type rated so our opinions are irrelevant.
Mate, dont sue your real life experience. :D (In the description) Really professional video!
Great spot, thank you! Description corrected
@@320SimPilot thanks. You'll probably need the experience later, thats why. ;)
I am on Xbox X so my flying her will be a little bit later. Thank you for sharing and showing us.
Thank you!
Such a great video, as usual! Thank you so much for the time and effort to make it and share. I would like to know, IRL, when do you start boarding, refueling and pre-departure clearance? Thank you so much!
I love this video. Just one small thing while you were taxiing to the gate at Heathrow you wanted to fit in one of those gates, however, these are mostly for A320 family aircrafts. But on the final taxiway in the video you would have steered to the left you would have been correctly as the terminal 5 B serves for larger british airways aircrafts. But I love what you do.
You're the absolute best, thank you for having the tutorial on day one!
I'm betting on a 1800z time for the 777 and a price of 79.99$
Thank you for the kind words! I was determined to have this video ready in time for people to get the most from their new aircraft!
It's a lil interesting that the cursor we see in the video seems to be about 2-3 cm below where you're actually aiming at all times.
Fantastic video. Very informative and helpful. Just out of curiosity, what are your PC specs?
One of my oldest mates went to Florida theme parks at huge expense and decided just to go on the virtual reality rides and went there 4 times in 2 years at huge expense. Unbelievable but he just said don't like rides that's it! Respect where it's due. His wife has a good time though😂
Thanks for the tutorials. When you mention you check the hydraulic and oil quantities, at what point/volume would you need to refill them?
Thanks for all the instructions so far.. managed to get the parking brake released and push back but when I power up I don't seem to have duct pressure and I see the throttle moving forward but engines dont generate more power.. some input/advice would be greatly appreciated on how to fix this.
Hello Captain, thanks so much for the video. I always have some trouble vectoring myself to the runway/ILS. Please could you do a video guide? It would really help.
Good job ! .. just want to say you can hit the CG button, number will be add automatically (no need to hand typing)
Huge thanks I want to be a 777 pilot in the future this is huge help
You are very welcome!
Hopefully it lands on Xbox soon for me it’s not out yet il wait for now il just watch the tutorials 😅
Hey psst check out gliding. 10x cheaper than powered flying and an awesome way to get into real world flying
In good time for release! Looking forward to this one 😊
Very nice video. how do you load the winds for departure, cruise and descent?
@320SimPilot have you tried loseless scaling its great for the fps since you said you get stutters cheers.
Excellent video as usual. On the FMC can you please comment on the use of the FIX, VNAV and FMC COMM buttons. Is there an option to do automatic step climbs?
Yes, there's. Auto Cruise menu in the FMC.
great 🥰
Thx for the video :)
Just a little question, wich software did you used to record the external view with the engines & lights actives (on the replay).
I use FlightControlReplay for MSFS but it looks like in Cold & Dark during my replay.
Have you tried the Flightfactor 777-200? It would be awesome to see you fly that if you haven’t already.
Brilliant video. Thank you. One question (to anyone reading this): How do you set up and manage the views in this video. For the life of me, I'm struggling with the camera system in MSFS and despite viewing many videos on the subject, simple cannot get anywhere near what is happening in this video. Thank you anyone.
how do you set the auto doors? for the crew to control the doors
Hi .. Super video, but I have one question. I noticed that when you click buttons or select things using the pointers, the actual pointer seems offset from the button. Is this an issue in the aircraft? For example, when you selected the MAXIT departure from EGLL, the pointer was actually pointing to a different selection.
Very good video! Questions - 1.) What is the first position UP on the fuel levers when starting? You push through this - what is it used for? And 2.) I thought TA/RA only went on once on the runway, not taxiing...?
Thank you for watching! The fuel control switches have two positions, Run and Cutoff. So they are in cutoff until we start the engine. I think that is what you are referring to? For TA/RA you can do this whilst taxiing, it is inhibited on the ground so will not generate issues. I hope this helps!
@@320SimPilot Thanks!
Do you know when it will release? Great video as always
Not sure the time but they're saying this evening UTC time at some point
Do you start with the centre pumps on or turn them on after start to ensure all the fuel is feeding correctly? I saw a video once of a 787 where they said they start without the centre pumps on
Centre pumps go on as part of the pressurising flow, IF the 'fuel in centre' eicas message is shown!
Hello and thank you very much for this tutorial. I have the TCA and I am struggling to get it to work well, especially the reversers. Can you please share the setup you have?
I don't have reversers setup yet but if you are having issues with the brakes and parking brake I made this video: ruclips.net/video/g-_QbjWABPE/видео.html
@@320SimPilot Thank you! When settting up your reverses please share.
Did they ever fix the WXR? Also, Simbrief is difficult for me so I usually do everything through the fmc which isn't much more work than using simbrief.
The best thing about this release was purchasing the 777 at 22:04 and still waiting for an email with download link 2 and a half hours later :)
That’s why I waited 2 hours before purchasing it, got my link within 10 minutes of payment.
Why is the button the lower LSK to make the route request? like they're off where the button is. @18:49
Is the misalignment on you pressing buttons on the FMC your computer/ For instance you would position your mouse over hold to get DEP/ARR
Hi Captain just a question is it ok to set IAS to 240 or 250 knots in the FMC from TOD all the way down for a slow mellow descent?
Hi thanks for your video ❤️ what is your keybind for tow brake?
I've made a short video about this! ruclips.net/video/g-_QbjWABPE/видео.html
@@320SimPilot thank you so much!!
do you have any insights into the pushback? the FMC option is greyed out and the vanilla one from MSFS connects but doesn't move, anybody had this?
Hi, do u know why pitch is always up more than 30 degrees just after takeoff ? The FD is not at 15 degrees like yours...it really much more ! Do I have to use TO 2 like you said in the vidéo ? thanks
Is it just in your sim that the cursor is like two buttons below the button you actually click or is this a MSFS thing now i always get a bit confused while watchign this.
Is there a way of chaning the aircraft units from celsius to Fahrenheit or kg to lbs? I have already done this on the flight tablet I just cant figure out how to do it on the plane itself.
In PMDG Setup, Displays, you can chage the units!
Just out of curious, do we need to load weather into fmc just like A320 or is it automatically done when u hit the flight plan request
Great question! I unfortunately missed this from this video. In the next one (Takeoff To Cruise) I'll show you how to load the winds.
bro, a question, de 777 in real life does have the bus ties and apu gen on in every moment? or its a simulator thing
Great question! Yes in real life these are left on nearly always.
Last night was insane with the sale and the mail issues so I only had a quick takeoff and landing at almost 2AM... but this plane is insane. Best MSFS addon hands down.
Callibration from A320 Thrustmaster?
What fo i need to do wen it sais hyd press dem c1 and hyd press dem c2 and i cant move my trust it just stais at idle
The engine power is cut off during takeoff. What is this reason? Thank you.
Are your clickspots off or: ex... at 19:49 in video you say you click load, but we see you click save. just confused ...........
Is it just Me or is your mouse ui not aligned it seems that you were pressing the button "under" the intended button
I have this same issue since the sim was launched, it drives me nuts lol. I have no idea why this happens.
@@ederss7 Not sure but try turning lens correction off in the MSFS settings.
I dont get the toption to put my own gross weight for the plane in the fmc
I'm having an issue with the parking break. I'm trying to release it. The switch is indeed moving, but on the screen, it is still showing that the parking break is engaged. I checked, and the chalks are indeed removed. I don't know what to do.
I have made a short video covering this issue! ruclips.net/video/g-_QbjWABPE/видео.html
@320SimPilot thank you so much I appreciate your work!
It appears as though your cursor is shown slightly below the actual hot spot. When I try to follow your actions on the MCDU, I lose track. None-the-less, like your other videos, all good!
i thought i was the only one 😭
Anyone know what is happening with the PMDG store please guys ? Can you buy it ?
Anyone know how to end the flight? "Alt + B" isn't working like the 737
Bro is a real pilot on every plane, im cringing when i see that kind of a thumbnail
Your mouse pointer is somehow off by a whole button which made this video a little confusing.
Fisrt attempt at flying today and never was able to release the parking break 😭😭😭
I have made a video to discuss this! ruclips.net/video/g-_QbjWABPE/видео.html
Hello captain,do you know where I could get a checklist fo this plane?
The checklists are built into the aircraft using the electronic checklists! In the video I show how to use them, hope that helps!
@@320SimPilot ok, thx!
Engine sounds need some work but amazing plane
the price of this plane is more expensive than the price of the game itself, very funny 😂🤣
When can I buy this thing I’m sick of waiting
anyone have the issue where they cant set initial pos
Yes, people commenting on the PMDG store price for the 777. The strange price of $324,999,999.99. !!!!. This is just a placeholder. The real price will be adjusted of course upon release. Nice comical tease from the PMDG team !!!.
It's on sale now, for $77.73
How…….many (metric) tons of fuel for LDN > Capetown?………did i hear you say…….. 90?
More than an A320s Max weight!
Well, today’s the day for release but the huge twist is PMDG wants $325 million for that product
Lol they are teasing until its out for real
is it out
Last time I checked, it wasnt
Just a few things that are annoying for me. Didn't show how to set the plane in Cold and Dark status. Moving and looking around the cockpit needlessly causes confusion. Your mouse is not accurate and not pointed to the button you need to press. I still don't understand if the Left Fuel pump needs to be turned on or not. You say it on then you say it's not on, but then say it's on for the APU, but the On button is not pressed on. Which is it, Off or On? Didn't get the FMS setup, because just too confusing. Maybe I'll re-visit this some other time.
Apologies for the mouse cursor, this is the first time I’ve had that issue so didn’t catch it in time. As for the fuel pump, the switch is off but the pump starts running anyway when the APU is turned on, which is shown on the fuel system page. Hope that helps
@@320SimPilot Thank you for the explanation. Perhaps I was a little harsh on the review.
Why does it say that the plane is $325 million dollars when I go on the PMDG website to buy it 💀💀💀💀
Its the approx price of a real 777. Its a joke. PMDG did the same thing with the 737.
1:03:28 look at that wing flex
PMDG have nailed this
I’m on holiday for two weeks. So a two week wait for me 😢
We need a face reveal and a video of you flying in real life.
TIL our favorite simpiot uses xbox controller 💀
Only when travelling!
I can’t afford it. It’s $324,999,999.99
all same 737,757,777,a320, = msfs all same FM same AVIOIS
Your cracking voice makes me unease, put some energy in your speech.
