Next time don’t remove the filter secure bracket… remove the hoses first or loosen - I’ll be easier because the filter will not move. That’s what I did and it worked well.. I did removed the clamp first but I had a hard time then I put the secure clamp then I can put more pressure to remove the hoses. But you did great and like the idea of using the stoppers from the new to old filter 👍
+Jai Son great tip, thanks! 🍻
I ordered the filter and did not even know the location. This is extremely helpful, Thanks
+Elvin Morales glad to help! 🍻
My process is the following: detach the hard line going to the engine bay from the retaining clip. Remove the front hose. Unscrew the filter retaining bracket nut so the filter can now move. Now it’s much easier to undo the two back side hoses. Go backward installing the new filter. My 2 cents learned the hard way.
+Battista Cagnoni thanks for the additional info! 🍻
I am changing my car which is the same car what I’ve done i disconnected the fuse great video very informative on bolt sizes which made it easy simple and clean and also showed how yu had some difficulties every car isn’t the same and every time I go thru different experiences as well keep it up !
+Slash don’t miss thanks, will do!
That was the factory fuel filter from 2001, it has never been changed 😮😮
+@krustysfunbodegas some people don’t maintain their cars properly 😆
I think mine is original, replacing filter and vacuum line to F connector. Getting misfire, and rough idle.

@@HelpMeDIY I'm all yours how can I help you
anyone know the diameter of the rubber hose bits on the fuel lines that attach to the filter? 3mm also? My metal fuel lines are fine, but noticed the rubber ends that connect to the filter were dry rotted. So I postponed the install until I get replacement rubber
I love that shirt. Need it for USAF Ammo 😂.
+Perry Woodman 😂🍻
After I replaced the fuel filter I keep hearing sound coming from the fuel filter or the fuel lines
,is it normal ? Pls help
+@Revenger18 I would guess no. Never heard anything like that.
Hose clamps seem awkward. I use 3 bolts the same diameter as the inner hose and screw them in.
+Cafe Projections worked well?
Got a light ?
What size are the clamps for the fuel line?
+@noname-pb9vj don’t remember now, sorry
@@HelpMeDIY no worries

What is the purpose of the vacuum hose
+Howling Media good question 🤷♂️ Maybe someone else can chime in
its purpose is to flood your air filter box when the membrane of the regulator ruptures, as happened to me after putting "oem brand" Bosch fuel filter, what a headache this little hose caused.....
@@thepcmaniacccwas actually just about to buy that Bosch one, what brand did you end up going with
@@jaydenrain i'd probably use mahle or mann
@@jaydenraingo to fcp euro and use the oem one kagenst
I recently replaced mine, and now, gas doesn't reach the fuel rail?
+Howling Media it should… you didn’t remove the fuse for the fuel pump and forget to put it back did you?
@@HelpMeDIY it worked at first fine for the first week and then it suddenly stalled on me when I stopped at a red light. I ruled out the fuel pump because there is enough pressure and it's brand new. Any ideas?
@@howlingmedia4354 no, sorry. Let us know what it was when you figure it out though
i Can hear them pulleys squeaking
+CryptoVerse me too, that’s one of the next items on the list!
First!
