Getting those low tension connectors off isn’t covered in the video. From the LHS, gently lever up the loop you can see using a flat blade screw driver. Listen for a click, then you’re in! Careful, I snapped one. Gently prize/lever the connector up from the base. You can also cut the cable ties securing the wiring looms and then lift out 3 of the 4 coils with the connectors still on. Number 4 is trickier, less room. Pulling up the coil packs is easy - be patient, pull up and wiggle!

Good video. I just changed spark plugs on my Fabia 1.2 TSI. However. I did not disconnect the electronic connector on the coil. I just took it of with the connector still in. Worked like a charm.

If you disconnect the battery you can leave the connectors on. Which I recommend because the plastic on the connectors damages easily.

How much torque did you tighten the spark plug?

Hi, 25 Nm or so should be fine. Check on the spark plugs box, it’s often written on it.

Are there 5 or 4 spark plugs there? You highlighted 5 in the video but looks like only 4

Okay, there’s a BIG part missing in this video and that how to get the low tension plug off he coil pack. My Polo had a “loop” on top. Using intuition I snapped the first one off, trying to lift it from the right hand side with a flat blade screws driver. Wrong!! Do the same from the left and side and it lowers a little plate inside which frees the locking mechanism - you’ll hear a little click as it unlocks. Don’t be fooled by the little lug you can see in the gap on the top, it has very little to do with the lock. After you hear the click, just lever it up with another suitably placed screw driver. As for getting the coil packs out? That’s easy. Just be patient an d wiggle away, they do eventually come. Now, for the number one I broke - no problem - just snip the 3 or 4 cal let’s ties that hold the wiring secure around the engine top, then you can remove the coils WITHOUT having to un-do the low tension wiring. In fact, that’s the easiest way but watch out for number 4 (RHS) - there’s not much room and you’d be better getting the wiring plug off first. Don’t snap it though or you’ll be stuffed on this one. Good luck all. Thanks for the vid.

A 4 min video that took you 6 hours to make, because it took you 3 hours just to remove sparkplug 4😄👎
