4WD 24/7, mighty car mods, and donut media are literally my favorite RUclips channels. Was so cool seeing all of them In one video! Awesome seeing the differences between US and Australia, and how the vehicles bring us together no matter where we’re from.
Yeah, it was really cool to see! I'm glad that we can still share the same passion for cars and car modifications despite being from different countries. It's nice to know that something like this can bring us together.
8:20 as explained, sadly the Australian car industry collapsed. But it did leave in its wake a lot of Australian engineering. Australian engineers did get involved in a lot of international projects. The 5th Generation Camaro was never sold in Australia, but was developed almost entirely by Holden in Victoria, Australia and built in Canada. Search for the testing shots of the pre-production Camaro running the Nürburgring in Germany, and you'll note that it's wearing Australian (Victoria) number plates. But the most recent engineering is that of the Ford Ranger. The current and last generation were designed and developed by Ford Australia for the global market. The T6 Australian developed Ranger was released in 2011, but it took 8 more years to finally have it get to the US. The latest generation P703 Ranger is wholly developed by Ford Australia. The platform is also shared by the VW Amarok (2nd gen) which is an Australian-German joint collaboration. So technically although Ford is an American brand, the Ford Ranger is certainly an Aussie truck under the skin despite not being manufactured in Australia.
I heard the Ranger was developed by Mazda engineers but in Australia, using Ford Australia's facilities. And they developed the Mazda BT's and Ford Rangers at the same time.
The car industry RUNS on taxpayer subsidies. All countries do it, to protect local jobs brokered by dodgy unions. Now these car companies took over a billion dollars and siphoned it into their own profits. frankly the cars they made were garbage, but big. they used a lot of fuel and this got the tax money returning
Afraid not. There are examples of Ford Australia using Mazda sourced cars in the companies past for sure, but in the case of the previous generation Mazda BT it was a badge engineered Ford Ranger and the Ranger was very much a Ford Australia project. The latest Mazda BT50 for the record is a badge engineered Isuzu. @@lordhumungous7908
@@lordhumungous7908 No it was designed and engineered by Ford Australia, Mazda then used the platform and sold it as a BT-50. Both Rangers and BT-50s were manufactured in Thailand.

The ute you drove at The Bend was the infamous AU Falcon and they have a cult following here in Australia. The AU came with the ‘Intech’ engine, the SOHC predecessor to the DOHC Barra. Some Intech had variable cam timing but most didn’t. By the way, the Landcruiser at the beginning was a HDJ80 not an FJ80 (because it runs the 1HD series turbo diesel engine, not the 3F series petrol engine). Great video 👍

Love seeing all the collaborations! Mighty Car Mods is goated
Agreed
I didn't know Jerry was such a good driver.
That's incredible! What a great show this whole video, i wish it was just longer. Release all of it bros
Don’t give up Jerry I know I speak for a lot of us who live vicariously through you and your racing. Keep your head up
Jerry is a true inspiration. He sets goals and continues to fail, but he continues to pursue his lofty aspirations in spite of this. Love that attitude on life.
@Jerry, It was great doing hot laps with you down in Sebring. I love Australia and this was some great content.
Great to see you guys giving some love you the boys down under! Especially Might Car Mods been enjoying those guys for over a decade, they BUILT Automotive RUclips! 🎉
I feel like it’s only possible to visit Australia and come back just a bit cooler than you were before.
If you come in the summer you may end up going back a little melted.
@@promethbastard Past handful of years has been not that hot. But it's going to get bad soon most likely.
@@Neojhun Fingers crossed, Sick and tired of the cold
@@Neojhun I'm aware, I live here too. And I remember regular 46 degree summer days in school with no air con.
Aww I guess I'll just stay uncool until one day fly out of Aus.
Thanks for coming down under
Great to see you guys🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺
Honestly Jerry will have learned so much by pushing through these experiences that when he eventually hits that home run it'll be a big one! also next time you get a chance come hit us up in NZ too!! we have some gorgeous drives and a similar but slightly different culture to AUS!!
This was going to be my suggestion too, there's some crazy Kiwi's out there doing crazy shit. 🦘😎👍
Aussies are one of the chillest people.. just good times.. no wonder Danny Ric is so chill too. ✌️
Such a trip watching you guys for years and then seeing a video of you on one of my local beaches. So sick!
Those lap times were crazy impressive, Jerry you’re a legend
Oh snap... we finally got the 2 best 4x4 channels together and it took an international effort 👏👏
Even though you didnt break the record at the end you still were very close! and its a good example of how hard the sport . I really enjoyed this video start to finish . another banger from the donut boys great work! Big love from New Zealand B-)
The laughs every time anything happens just makes me appreciate how much passion these aussies have towards the car scene. Keep up the sick vids donut!
This video was so well done wtf this is straight up better quality than pretty much anything I watch on TV
It must have HELLA sucked to finish that way so close. But man i love you guys esp Jerry for going for it. You rule dude!
These trip videos have been great. Keep them coming.
Amazing episode! Editing on point! This could have been an hour long and I would still watch it twice.
the best motor show on youtube full stop !!! the Aussie lads are god dam legends....
Very nice guys! Thanks for exploring our car culture!
Jerry has obviously done a lot more racing than I've seen. He sets the bar high!
I can’t tell you how happy this collab makes me. Finally. Finally.
Having lived in Sydney and Melbourne, the kangaroo is the most popular form of transportation. They're particularly popular because of the Drop Bear problem.
As an aussie car enthusiast, watching you fellas go through all my favorite channels was awesome, thoroughly enjoyed this as my favorite donut video in yonks. If I could give it 3 thumbs up I would. Cheers
You know you made it as a car YT channel when you have freakin' BORLA exhausts sponsoring your videos. Kudos Donut team!
I don't usually leave a comment on the video's sponsor, but MAN those Borlas sound so good.
I'm sorry if this pisses anyone off.. 😂
But the Australian/Thai car scenes are just something else man! ❤ Refreshing. 🎉
The muscle builds and burnout machines down there in Australia are just sick! 🤘
The Crazy truck and van builds in Thailand are cool as well!
Also, we love you J! ❤ Keep going man!!
Its amazing that you managed to get the worlds number one off road channel and the guys from 4wd247 onto this episode!
you guys need to do more cheap car top gear style challenges...the chemistry is there 100%
Are we watching donut become a new redbull? Start with something simple and then wait for the right moment to branch into sports then BOOM dominating the (motor)sport scenes? I'm here for it if so
no we aren't seeing that.
it's great content regardless, but to answer your question... no.
Yes absolutely, but with shirts instead of beverages
The ute you drove at The Bend was the infamous AU Falcon and they have a cult following here in Australia. The AU came with the ‘Intech’ engine, the SOHC predecessor to the DOHC Barra. Some Intech had variable cam timing but most didn’t.
By the way, the Landcruiser at the beginning was a HDJ80 not an FJ80 (because it runs the 1HD series turbo diesel engine, not the 3F series petrol engine).
Great video 👍
My heart bleeds for Jerry. Nevertheless, this kind of content is just too captivating and fun not to enjoy! Thank you guys!
