depends on who you are watching. There are many good youtubers that explain a lot, so you can fully understand some techniques rather than just showing off. Tbh i rather watch 30/45 minute video where everything is explained, even if it's obvious, because it's a nice refreshment of memory
seriously underrated content. you're entertaining and you seem very talented - i wish you the best in your youtube career if you decide to pursue it. :)
Lmao this was very fun to watch and very informative at the same time!! Good work bro 🔥🤜🏻 hope to see more cool editi- i mean cool straight to the point tutorials 😆😂
good takes are the most important. also, see that he uses only the NECESSARY stuff, each plugin is doing something he gave a nice advice too. working your vocals by their session (drop, break…) gives you a lot of control of the feeling that each part is supposed give awesome video! like + follow
this is a good vid to beginners mixing engineers, if u wanna try to learn more, search how to use compressors (parameters), saturation, paralel fx (rev, delay, comp, chorus, distortion, etc). Soothe2 is one of the best vst!!! keep making content bro
Always EQ SUBTRACT, before anything. If you add plugins before Subtractive EQ, or add compression before any EQing, you are just creating problems. 1. Record vocals 2. Subtractive EQ 3. Additive EQ 4. De-esser/ Silibance 5. Compression 6. Processing Effects 7. Panning Always setup subtractive & additive EQ as the first 2 steps in your chain. Good audio in, equals good quality out, and less post processing.
I had to come back. This is just so good. It’s funny cause channels usually milk each and every part of a type of effects for all of their videos combined lmao. You actually give the people what they asked for. Like the whole topic and now I seen you do mastering. Very nice approach. Very ethical and common sense rather than someone teaching who still doesn’t really get it and I think seriously a lot of RUclipsrs don’t beside the 70+ % just shelling new vsts and promoting it acting like it will fix all things
I’m also thinking oddly enough the speakers I’m most familiar with are my iPhone speakers lmao. The audio engineering world always says you can use the crappiest but if you know them then they are reliable. I find headphones alittle too dense to try and understand any difference. However after using the headphones mixing long enough now I get a rough vocal mix using these techniques with an additional vst to monitor the sound through my iPhone speakers.
Imo unless It starts being a job and you Just having FUN It Is Fair. When you start making profit with them you should start buying them. The fact Is that this type of product are meant to be used by professionists. Imo there's nothing wrong, cause maybe one day, starting from this you Will be One of the pros and maybe an effective buyer of this stuff maybe for job
@@madoxey mm, it causes even more questions. How do they know if i started making some profit or not? And again, what's the difference for them? If they want money when someone stops having fun and starts making profit, it's not fair, it's greediness. I understand when they charge money for their work, it's really fair, but they don't sell the original of the product, they sell a copy, right? What work did they do to get the copy? They literally pressed two buttons, the "copy" button, then the "paste" button. This work doesn't worth hundreds of dollars they want
I like this video all the things ive learned about mixing together were pretty much covered in this short video. Also uses some of the most popular plugins too.
@@gbengaafolayan if you’re on ableton on the right where you would insert a track you just add a send, then on the track itself that you wanna send it to, there’s two little rectangular boxes they’ll say like “Inf” or something and you just adjust it up or down like you would the volume and it brings the plug in little by little and more clean
Maye I can make a video on that. You can try using soothe and sidechain the ınsturmental to vocals so when vocals come in, there will be room in the mix. Search trackspacer 2 on youtube to understand what I'm talking about
So the secret to mixing good vocals is to record good takes! Like every other video on the subject!
Mixing starts with recording and sample selection. So yes definitely!

Easily one of the best and most well-rounded mix vids I've seen.
Thank you a lot!
my god thank you sir. i just can't stand these youtubers with 100k subs or more that create 45min videos only explaining 2mn of knowledge. good work
Lol thanks man that was my goal

You forgot the part where you made us struggle!!! This is amazing ! Short sweet and to the point!! Thank you Trem🎉
Thanks a lot! That was my point. Music production is hard and can be boring sometimes. Wanted to add a bit fun to it!
Top class editing - I appreciate the amount of effort it took to create this video!

Maybe Changing Quality Settings in vst could fix this:
- realtime to 1x & lowest
- offline to 4x & highest
Mines too. Even for compressing.
This was straight to the point and so helpful
