IMO if you are gonna sit down and eat at the quick service just go into the restaurant and sit down and have the food there. It's 100% better than the café and while the prices are higher, the quality and quantity is waaaay better at the table service. Ahi Tuna Nachos are a must get every time!!
I used to love this place 6-7 years ago and considered it a "must have" on every trip. The last time we had it in 2020, I was shocked at how much it had gone downhill in terms of quality and quantity, such a shame now.
I reviewed this place 4 years ago and said the food was compared to the Asian food you would get in the frozen food section of your local grocery store. I see the food still comes in the frozen food containers. Microwave, peel the plastic off, and charge 14.99.
@DISUnplugged No matter what the review, I'm happy to still see you guys out getting it done. After 16 years of doing what you're doing, I can atest to the amount of work it takes to complete these videos with a smile. Keep smiling friend's.
The only meal out of the three that looked like you got your money's worth was Craig's sandwich. show suggestion (if the studio idea comes back) Off the Rails/This week at Disney - A friendly chat with you 3 and any of the other tram members about the current goings on at WDW, what they are excited for, and any crazy stuff happening (Chapek and thr hippo). Another Show: Dis Bosrd focus/Q&A general show topic: Non park day activities (both on and off property) - Since yall live there, you could tlk about the non Disney things to do I'm amd around Kissimmee and Orlando (I vote for the drive over to the Kennedy Space Center)
Disney has cut the portion size to what 3 years ago would have been a kids meal, They were too much before but this cut in portion size and the increase in price makes me want to drive off property to eat for half the price.
For years Yak and Yeti was our go to. We looked forward to it even. The past two times it has been subpar at best. We have a trip coming up in a couple of weeks and we plan to visit a different quick service this time.
Years ago I went here and they had a chicken curry with cashews special that was on a sign like Rynos. It was so bland..and not a good portion. In comparison, last month I tried Lotus Blossom in Epcot for the first time and I actually loved it.. Lotus Blossom doesn't get a lot of love but it was just fine.. just like your local Chinese takeout.. I got the orange chicken...covered in plenty of sauce, nice portion, wasnt bland, lots of veggies including Zucchini, Squash, cCarrots and Green Beans, rice and also comes with an egg roll. I thought it was a great deal for the price and I was satisfied. I got the pot stickers too which were fine and the Dipping Sauce it came with was great. Plus, they have chopsticks. Maybe do a Lotus Blossom review in comparison to Yak & Yeti Local Foods??
My family loves Yak and Yeti but I do not like Pan-Asian food. I always get the burger which is really good! So I had to laugh when Craig said why do they have a burger on the menu! They have it for people like me! lol
We love to eat inside at Yak& Yeti. Nice afternoon break and they have a fun drink menu. We love the lo mein and the house made fried rice so much that sometimes we just go into the bar area and order some fried rice to go and take it outside and eat it. I have never done the quick service. Thanks for the review.
Satu'li Canteen and Nomad Lounge would have to be closed down before I would want to go to Yuck and Yeti.....thank you for taking the hit for anyone else who is on the fence about going there....
I feel like this place will always be a second or third option to Satuli Canteen when I'm in the park. Unless the mobile order window for Satuli is hours away, there isn't a reason to go here instead.
I love Yak and yeti. We eat at the sit down version. I have tried the quick service too and it was good, but not quite the same as the sit down restaurant.
I’m surprised. We had Yak and Yeti in 2018 and 2019, and it was good for a theme park quick serve. Your dishes don’t look nearly as good as what my group had then.
We always eat here but on the table service side. I’m wondering they use the same kitchen. I would assume yes, but the disappointment on all of your faces makes you wonder where the quality went? Thanks for checking it out for us, I think we will try Satuli Canteen tomorrow instead 👌🏼
Thanks all - maybe do a quick service favorites show talking about the quick service places to not miss? I know Satuli Canteen is one of them but what are the others? Choose from all over Disney properties in Orlando! Do it from the perspective of what you wouldn't want to miss -- kind of like you do with Disneyland. For me on vacation most of my meals are going to be quick service with maybe 1 nice meal, 1 character meal and breakfasts of protein bars with some fruit.
I haven't been back to WDW since 2018. I used to love the chicken fried rice here. It was an inexpensive grab-and-go and I really did find it a tasty value. I do adore Satuli for a meal at a table. But maybe that would be a suggestion - it is more a of snack place. I've not ever eaten at the Table service .
Thanks for this review. We usually head into Yak and Yeti for a meal, but it's nice to see what the quick service has to offer. We would love to see an Olivia's review. Fried chicken and key lime pie, how can you go wrong?
I personally like holding it so I don't get too expressive with my hands and also I've found that if I hold it I can have it in the ideal position. Sometimes it ends up too far away from the mouth when clipped or sits too low in general and if we boost the gain it also boosts background noise.
I've never had the QS and only ever ate at the actual restaurant. Honestly the restaurant is one of our favorite in park restaurants. Those Tuna Nachos are worth the hype and we've always enjoyed our entrees. Plus it has a huge kids menu so a ton more option than just the typical chicken nuggs, mac n cheese, cheeseburger, etc. Is it overpriced? Yeah, but what Disney restaurant isn't?
I stopped eating there when they took away the orange chicken. I'm glad to see they brought it back in some form, but oh my! The price! You should have had 50% more food for that price. Much better value and choices eating inside. Sad.
I had the “Korean” fried chicken sandwich back in July. I felt the same about it as Craig and Ryno. It was ok. I really wish Disney would strive to make every dish exceptional. I’d rather pay $20 for a meal that makes me want to come back and have it again versus pay $10 for a meal that leaves me disappointed. I can be disappointed for much less.
I really appreciate Yak & Yeti main restaurant, especially the egg rolls and Pineapple Cream Cheese Wontons. But Ryno is right: The quick service version is not a destination. (Can you imagine entering the park with you family, saying "No, kids. I know you're all hungry and Satu'li and Flame Tree BBQ is closeby, but we are going to trek all the way to the back of the park to get a skimpy portion of over-priced Honey Chicken. I hope it's luke warm!"
Portions look sad 😂 I’ve never tried the fast food restaurant, I walk past by ppl eating and their meals looks sad lol. And yes I’ll rather have Panda Express
The sad part is it's optics. If they want to serve such a minuscule amount of chicken and veggies, put it in a smaller container that makes it look more impressive. If it was served in a Chinese takeout box it would look a lot better.
Omg, Craig started off being negative about the appearance of the sandwich, then tasted it and was all impressed, then at the end negative again. Literally went from, "very flavorful, nice balance, I think I actually might be happy with this meal" to "something about this restaurant isn't clicking with me today"
I really want to share with you the cutest thing my little poodle mix, Rocky, did yesterday. Every morning, I sit with him and our other dog, Boomer, while I enjoy my coffee. Rocky cuddles with me, while Boomer comes and goes. Well, yesterday morning, my husband and I had a very early appointment, so we prepared breakfast for Rocky and Boomer immediately upon awakening. No time for cuddles. Little Rocky refused to eat, and ran away from his breakfast! I brought him back several times, but he ran away every time. We FINALLY understood that he was NOT eating until he had cuddles with me! 😢 So, I sat down, and he jumped in my lap. After 5 minutes of cuddles, he trotted off and ate all of his breakfast. Best wishes, from Michigan, USA.
We used to LOVE Yak & Yeti, and the queues were always ridiculous. The fact that you can now literally walk up and order says it all, really. It's a shame they stopped doing the sweet & sour chicken in favour of the honey one - the honey one is far too sweet for me. Last year we ordered the chicken fried rice side and the teriyaki chicken salad, but I couldn't eat the chicken salad as it was chock full of onion - which was NOT shown in the picture (I can't eat onion). So, me being a diabetic I had to eat the fried rice as I had to eat something! This year we went to Flame Tree BBQ. Let's not talk about the offensively long time they made us wait even to put our order in (as they were prioritising mobile orders), but I had the chicken salad and had them put the fried onion bits on the side - the only reason why I didn't use mobile order myself. That salad was soooo good, and very reasonably priced. My daughter had the loaded macaroni cheese with pulled pork - and she loved that, too. I don't remember what my husband ordered. But we have really noticed the general drop in quality (and quantity) of Disney QS food in the last couple of years. Every single QS restaurant we went to - including the resorts - had the spicy special sandwich on offer (can't remember if it was the Korean chicken, but it might have been). And adding the plant-based options means that a lot of the good stuff was taken off the menu. So, now we seem to have the choice of burger, chicken tenders or Mexican or other highly-spiced burger or salad on offer. We used to love eating at the ABC Commissary, but they have taken literally every single item I can eat off the menu. The rate they're going, it looks as if the family will be bringing a packed lunch with us to the park every day next year!!
Not related to Yak & Yeti.....but, I was at Disney World last week and Joffrey's coffee is by far the NASTIEST coffee I've ever had! I honestly don't understand the hate that Starbuck's coffee gets when it is, hands down, much better than Joffrey's!
Loving these reviews. Craig, you just get better and better! I've been a follower since Kevin's Shutters restaurant review comment that went down in history: "It smelled of Yankee Candle" 😂 And back to the days of Craig & Corey, doing 'Two Dudes on a Cruise - all.the.lamb. EPIC! I know Corey's busy but I'd love to see C & C do a one off review. Keep up the awesome shows
Those prices are outrageous
IMO if you are gonna sit down and eat at the quick service just go into the restaurant and sit down and have the food there. It's 100% better than the café and while the prices are higher, the quality and quantity is waaaay better at the table service. Ahi Tuna Nachos are a must get every time!!
Yea, try and get in the full service without a reservation
It’s generally not a problem to get into the restaurant without a reservation if you sign up for the Landry’s card. ;-)
Yep Landry's card and they have a walk up list too!
We have eaten at the sit down. It’s definitely better.
You guys have to review the sit down Yak and Yeti restaurant inside!!
I used to love this place 6-7 years ago and considered it a "must have" on every trip. The last time we had it in 2020, I was shocked at how much it had gone downhill in terms of quality and quantity, such a shame now.
This review is great and all, but could you finally review the Royal Anandapur Tea Company? 😉
Thank you for the review. I have never stopped there. BTW- the “Yummy, yummy!” at the end made me laugh. Great touch.
I reviewed this place 4 years ago and said the food was compared to the Asian food you would get in the frozen food section of your local grocery store. I see the food still comes in the frozen food containers. Microwave, peel the plastic off, and charge 14.99.
I really hope they have a more efficient way of serving it but I also wouldn't be surrpised.
@DISUnplugged No matter what the review, I'm happy to still see you guys out getting it done. After 16 years of doing what you're doing, I can atest to the amount of work it takes to complete these videos with a smile. Keep smiling friend's.
Prices seem a little high for whatyou are getting. Chicken nuggets and rice is what you are basically eating.
Shout out Steven Elizabeth Porter...miss him! Love you guys
The only meal out of the three that looked like you got your money's worth was Craig's sandwich.

Oh! Yak & Yeti Local Foods breakfast hashbrowns are kinda the bomb though.. they're huge hashbrowns with a little maybe garlic/onion flavor??...
My family loves Yak and Yeti but I do not like Pan-Asian food. I always get the burger which is really good! So I had to laugh when Craig said why do they have a burger on the menu! They have it for people like me! lol
Could you please review the actual Yak and Yeti. I think I need a review of the garlic noodles and a comparison of O'hana noodles
Better off heading to Satuli canteen!
We love to eat inside at Yak& Yeti. Nice afternoon break and they have a fun drink menu. We love the lo mein and the house made fried rice so much that sometimes we just go into the bar area and order some fried rice to go and take it outside and eat it. Would love to see a review of Rosa Mexicano!
It looks like they’ve removed the best thing that was on the menu!? Where’s the mango pie? I guess we have no need to go there ever again 😭
I feel like this place will always be a second or third option to Satuli Canteen when I'm in the park. Unless the mobile order window for Satuli is hours away, there isn't a reason to go here instead.

Yeah, im definitely going to Satuli Canteen if I'm in Animal Kingdom!

Skimpy portions…the restaurant is better. Yes Satuli is the quick service way.
The sit down restaurant was so good!!!

I demand a review of the royal anandapoor tea company joffreys please Craig!
Erica, should have got the veggie burger...it was actually pretty solid when I had it a couple months ago
Thanks for this review. We usually head into Yak and Yeti for a meal, but it's nice to see what the quick service has to offer. We would love to see an Olivia's review. Fried chicken and key lime pie, how can you go wrong?
why do you guys not just use the clip on the mic? ive never understood that ...but all n all. good video
I personally like holding it so I don't get too expressive with my hands and also I've found that if I hold it I can have it in the ideal position. Sometimes it ends up too far away from the mouth when clipped or sits too low in general and if we boost the gain it also boosts background noise.
Had Flame Tree BBQ on my last trip to Animal Kingdom. Next stop: EPCOT-Hollywood Studios.
We love Yak and Yeti restaurant. Great food!
Love the fried rice. Great deal.
Steve Porter? Does Yak and Yeti have Mac and cheese? 😂 ❤
Thanks for the review - did not know this was part of the main restaurant.
I've never had the QS and only ever ate at the actual restaurant. Honestly the restaurant is one of our favorite in park restaurants. Looks like mall food but lower quantity.
Was Erica’s chicken plant based?
Erika, what's up with the Miami Dolphin jerseys? You are offending this Patriot's fan. 😅
My favorite restaurant 😋
I love Anandapur Tea Company…
I really appreciate Yak & Yeti main restaurant, especially the egg rolls and Pineapple Cream Cheese Wontons.

Yak & Yeti - we can't promise your food will be lukewarm.
Those chicken and rice dishes look sad...and for $15 its criminal
😊
You know, the RODE Wireless Go mic clips on. You don't have to hold it.
I like holding the mics so it keeps me from over expressing with my hands.
Gotcha. Love the content. Cheers!!@@DISUnlimited

Erica bummer
this is a warning to everyone who isn't a fan of slaw on their chicken sandwich, yak and yeti will not take it off the sandwich.
Wait - they won't remove it at all and refuse to serve it except how it is?
@@DISUnlimited that's what happened to me the last time I tried to order it.
0:09 they are not alongside you. We can see you. We cannot see them.
Overpriced.
Omg, Craig started off being negative about the appearance of the sandwich, then tasted it and was all impressed, then at the end negative again. I thought Erica was vegan, or vegetarian?
Erica has a dairy allergy. She will eat vegan at Disney most of the time so it makes her life easier.
Missing Pete ):
😂
He isn't
Yikes, well this is awkward. Somebody needs to be filled in.
Wait what? I guess I missed something.
