Glad you guys found the happiness in Disney again! You all just seem so lighthearted and it's great to see. So much fun to watch! I've seen a lot of complaints that this is no longer a buffet and I get that complaint. But I also see why Disney would change this as a more family take and go (or sit and enjoy) type of place. With the cabins (and soon DVC cabins) that give guests the opportunity to cook or re-heat food easily, this type of take and go is very nice for guests. You made me want to go on our next trip and check it out! Those desserts look SO good! Thanks!

LOVED the show's energy and playfulness today! We hit up Trail's End once back when it was a buffet, and while we enjoyed the food, it wasn't really worth it for some of the people in our family with smaller appetites. This menu makes it look worth revisiting for us!

Thanks all -- I'm thankful that they finally have a decent quick service without having to wait for food prep. Getting off the MK boat and grabbing something quick to eat on your way back to your cabin/camp site will be very welcome. Also great that you can get the fried chicken outside of Hoop de Doo still. We loved the buffet but honestly we try to limit our full on meals to truly special experiences and instead just supplement our own cooking. I can see me stopping by and grabbing some corn bread and fried chicken and then supplementing with my own veggies and cole slaw so I don't have to do any heat based cooking. The best part of all of that is having the leftovers for the next night. Finally, Craig I understand your obsession with the Strawberry dessert -- I definitely plan on that for dessert one night with maybe a main course of veggies and hummus to offset it. For what to do next - where is the best place to get a salad (and Brown Derby doesn't count - there must be someplace else)?

Ryno , I’m with you on your comment about the DVC Cabins . We have been visiting these cabins for two generations and I hate to see anything change especially the cabins. I’m happy to hear that the food is still good.
As a DVC member, I hate the idea! It’s supposed to be untouched wilderness! Not a trailer park full of shipping container homes! Whew! Thanks for letting me rant 😂❤ Funnily enough I’ve never stayed there, now I won’t get the chance 😢

The strawberries for the strawberry shortcake are macerated. That is what it is called when you add the sugar and let them soak in it, bringing out the liquid.
The Fort is our favorite resort on property for many reasons. I'm so bummed they closed Trail's End as a table service/buffet but look forward to trying the new counter service in a couple of weeks when we're there. I really enjoyed the buffet for the variety and the price could not be beat - especially for breakfast!

We ate it at the picnic table by candlelight at our campsite. It was the most memorable, lovely family Thanksgiving dinners ever! I'm glad this is quick service now. Much more affordable. However if they're taking it to DVC, they're going to need to add a table service location to bring its amenities up to DVC par.

Such a great day trip. Rent a golf cart and just toolaround. Visit the horses shoot some arrows. go to the doo or eat off the food trucks. take the boat back and catch the fireworks. a great free way to relax inside the bubble.

I wish they could have kept the buffet as all you care to eat if you choose to dine in (and want several plates of food) OR have a box that you could take from the buffet by the pound, like a hot bar. I feel like it could have worked and then we would have the best of both worlds like Hannah Montana intended.

Its so sad what they did to the best buffet on Disney property. We used to go out of our way every trip to visit Trails End. Now there is no need for us to return.

I get the reasoning for vids moving away from eating on camera, but there is a bit left to be desired not seeing your "live' reactions to tasting these foods. You should consider some voiceover editing type thing (like what timtracker has been doing). I think that allows the viewer to connect better with the food review. This kind of feels similar to just showing pics of new food items on the Tuesday show. (I do recognize you did just eat the foods). Just my take, I've enjoyed your content for many years!
It’s good to know that the food is decent, however I standby that they ruined this restaurant, such a generic looking place you could find anywhere (some people say it looks like a Cracker Barrel) completely missed the mark with the vibe of the resort
