Wow! This is a very nice video production. The beauty of various spots and the panoramic view of the place so beautiful all around. But I really enjoyed watching the delicious food display at trails end restaurant. You're absolutely a brilliant videographic artist creating this amazing contents. Bravo my dear friend. I love it. Thank you for sharing. All the best to you. I've subscribed to support your lovely channel.

Hey great video from my favorite dining disney couple! First - i loved trails end when it was a buffet - went twice for sunday brunch and it almost rivaled the California Grill Sunday Brunch, which remains the greatest brunch buffet of my life : the incredible, gourmet buffet, the outrageous entrees (which you could order any and all of!!!), the views of magic kingdom on sunday morning, the live jazz combo playing swinging arrangements of classic Disney tunes - I mean, cmon, you guys would have never left I can only pray it comes back But, i digress The trails end brunch was beautifully homey and comforting - the trays of unlimited fried chicken alone Ah, the good old days Ps - omg Davids cookies in nyc - sooooo nostalgic - always brought a box home from every visit - those crazy, melty, massive chunks of dark chocolate - cookie obscenity But they had to be the ones from their shops - the current version sold in stores are an abomination Pps - jay dont trash your palate - its varied and fun and curious and honest You guys are the best - look forward to hanging out over a few good meals together sometime Stay cool out there my friends!
You're too kind, thank you so much. That really means a lot to us. I'll try to be kinder to my palate in the future. I just try to stress to our viewers that I have a real common man flavor profile. I'm easy to please. That Cali Grill brunch sounds incredible. It'd be nice just to get something like that going again. In regards to David's, we feel like all those prepackaged sweets tastes different now. Nothing like they were unfortunately. Agree the current versions just aren't good ☹️. You're the best! Definitely would be happy to grab a bite one day 😃.
We never tried trail's end when it was all you care to enjoy but it kind of make sense to have a grab an go at a campsite. We don't understand why Disney can't get pizza right... it shouldn't be that hard for the house of mouse. The puled pork definitely could use more sauce. We've heard good things about Hoop-Dee-Doo review so it sounds nice to be able to get the food from there if you can't get a reservation as long as they keep it fresh. It didn't look like the warming shelves were over stocked so good chance they're keeping it fresh. Thorough review 👍👍
We thought this was a solid option. We love Hoop and the food is classic so it's nice to be able to have some Hoop eats in a somewhat scenic environment. Pizza is definitely not Disney's forte but we may be harsher critics since we were originally from the tri-state. Food did taste fresh 🤠. Thankfully we found some BBQ sauce but they definitely need more options like they have at Regal Eagle. Thank you!
Another great review and video. I never experienced Trails End before the refurb...but I read lots of good reviews in the before times of the buffet. If we get a chance to visit Ft. Wilderness I too would go with Crocket's Tavern I think. Also I think maybe I had an epiphany ...could the "gears" in the stairs be boot spurs? I watched the last video and thought... are those little sheriff badges lol. Then watched this one and a light bulb came on! Do you think they could be spurs? Ok another great video , thank you, and I made another long comment!
They are boot spurs! You're smarter than I 😆. We had a few comments last video that clued us in. I think the way to go is dinner at Crockett's and dessert at Trails End. Although we did enjoy the food at both spots 😃. Fort Wilderness is a gem. Thank you so much! We appreciate your thoughtful comment and insight.
It all looks like the Publix deli. The best thing about Trails End was the all you care to enjoy buffet. Picking up the family size and bringing it back to you campsite is a great option. But for sit down I would choose Crockett's Tavern.
I think Publix may have better Pulled Pork 😆. In all seriousness though, we did enjoy ourselves here. Definitely feel let down hearing all the great stories about the buffet we missed out on. Being able to bring family size fixins to the camp site sounds like a dream. We definitely agree Crockett's had the better entrees, although I(Jay) did prefer the dessert options at Trail's End. They were pricey though 😮.
The old Trail’s End did have the same food as the Hoop, more or less, plus additional stuff. However, Trail’s End did not have the Strawberry Shortcake. The Hoop and Trail’s End use/used the same kitchen.
Ahhh, that makes sense. We did enjoy getting quick service Hoop food but can definitely see the buffet as being a better value and experience. Happy the shortcake is available on demand now. Thanks for your insight 😃.
Hahaha...I too had David's cookies in high school. Like you(I think) I grew up on Long Island and I'm now a Floridian. Curious have you ever found good bagels in or near Disney? I'm surprised Disney hasn't had NY style bagels even in Disney Springs.
We have found somewhat decent bagels but nothing NY level. The Boardwalk Deli actually has bagels but again, just decent. It's crazy all the food you miss from home once you move 😆. We contemplate flying for pizza or a diner regularly. David's Cookies are classic 😃.
Is Olivia’s better than homecoming? When we stayed at the cabins It was still during the Covid era so trails end was quick service. Pretty good food from what I can remember. They did have these three cupcakes that look like a chicken drumstick mashed potatoes with butter and corn on the cob which I thought was adorable.
I wouldn't say Olivia's better, I think Homecoming is overall a better restaurant. Their Fried Chicken is great but Olivia's Friend Chicken is next level. I'd say it's based on what you're looking for. Homecoming is probably better food but Olivia's has great food and is more Disney. Those cupcakes sound great 😃. Unfortunately, COVID seemed to change everything for these unique restaurants.
Trails End had the same exact food, only it was all you care to eat that you could grab. Essentially the same thing, without the show, and you had to grab it yourself. Then when COVID hit, they just brought it to the table, so at that point, it was literally the same thing, without the show. They had PJ's Take Out regardless of whether Trails End was open, or not (buffet was for breakfast and dinner only) and that you could grab and go. Most of the items was a lot of the same food you're eating. They essentially took that idea and just expanded it. They didn't have a cool and hot section where you could actually grab the items. Also, believe it, or not the pizza is actually better than what it used to be and more variety.
We didn’t get to experience it before the refurb, but we love Hoop food and thought it was on par with that. Crockett’s food was a little more elevated.
I appreciate your videos and descriptions using "real world" examples ie. Boston Market corn muffins. 😊 Many reviewers try to sound overly sophisticated even when describing a cookie 🍪 or cupcake.🧁
Boston Market is the gold standard! We appreciate your support. I am not sophisticated so I do what I can to describe the flavor. I'm also easy to please and try to be as detailed as I can to let viewers know what they might think. Thank you!
I was intetested in a view of the restaurant not the pizza. They are "washboards". It is truly a shame that it has been modernized for those who don't know much about pioneer days. 😢
I think we got some pretty decent shots of the restaurant. We go a bit more in depth with the decor in our video on Crockett's Tavern. Ah yes, that was the word that was evading me 😆. As someone who has a degree in history I'm questionable on how "accurate" Disney ever portrayed Pioneer days but I'm sure there was a bit more attention to detail towards the story in the earlier iterations of this area.
@@ThemeParkFoodies you are offended by my dislike of what was done to Pioneer Hall. You are simply too young to understand the sentimental feelings that those of us have who have been there from the beginning and truly loved Walt Disney's vision. Your statement tells me that you don't honor his vision. That's ok. To question the painstaking detail with artifacts related to Davey Crockett; Daniel Boone or Johnny Appleseed isn't something you care about. I have been visiting Disney World and Fort Wilderness since 1975 (55 plus times) when i married my late husband. He would be sooo sad. Happy memories. Now it looks like a 7-11 instead of the Trails End Buffeteria. BUT...if you are into everything looking like mid-century modern. I guess you being the theme park foodie, the food not atmosphere is your thing. Mine was and is the gorgeous detail of his original visions. Nitie nite. Take care. P.S. I was clueing you in to what a washboard was. Part of history.

Hello, great review, thank you for the detailed interesting story and beautiful shots! Have a nice weekend, success, friendly greetings from Ukraine
Thank you 😃 Wishing you all the same. We appreciate the kind words and support.
I’ll make sure to bring my own bar b que sauce
😆 they do have BBQ sauce! I found it towards the end but definitely not high quality. They need what they have going on at Regal Eagle.

I think those are spurs on the steps (not gears) like you would have on cowboy boots. Love y’all’s content!!
They are spurs! Don't know why I couldn't figure that out 😆. This resort is always such a great time. Thank you! We really appreciate it 🙂.

old trails end was awesome, probably was, and still is just most of the same food as hoop dee doo.
