    I got my first work and it motivated me to keep going but after that no matter how hard I tried Nothing happened. Im pretty sure I am better than half of the freelancers in my field but the algorithm didn't let me to get job haha. I am a 2D digital artist btw.

      @@FreelanceFamilyMan graphic design, ai image generation. i heard theres a conspiracy that theres alot of fake job posting to get us to spend connects and i'm starting to think it might be true. Half of the jobs i submitted to werent viewed and when i go to my saved jobs to check on them it seems like the clients just posted nd abandoned and never looked at it again. only a few of them of them showed that the client actually hired someone.

    You basically discussed things that are not really within the control of the freelancer.
    Would have been better to share ways to improve the things we can control. I see a couple of discouraged people, and I’d like to encourage them because it does take work, but it’s worth it. You just have to do a lot

    I disagree, being one of the first ones to apply always helps. And you setup automation alerts when new jobs are posted.

    So right from the beginning, I understand now why client's doesn't view my proposal. And the problem is Upwork arrange already clients view of applicants with the 'best match'. And here I am as a freelancer seeing on my find work page the 'best match' tab and yet clicking on search bar typing the position I am looking for which defeats the 'best match' feature upwork set for me to make my job hunting easy. That's a mess up already. Am I right?

    Hi Chad, great video thank you. I have a question, do you use some tools, scripts to instant send proposal to client? Or do you send it by yourself or your VA?

    • @FreelanceFamilyMan
      @FreelanceFamilyMan  8 месяцев назад +1

      I don't use scripts or tools to create instant proposals and I recommend against that, you want custom personal proposals for each one you write. I include some of the same portfolio highlights or I close many of proposals similarly, but clients can tell when it's just copy and paste proposals and those don't get seen much. So I do all my own proposals, you could hire a sales person to write proposals for you but they still need to be custom and personal to each job.

      Don't do this. Upwork algo can detect you are spamming applications. As Chad pointed out relevancy is key takeaway to be best match. Always read the job description and add relevant keyword to your cover. Make a boiler template for your cover letter then make necessary changes by replacing relevant keywords from the job description. Use ChatGPT to proof read and paraphrase your cover letter. That's how it is done.

    Quick question, Chad.
    When one is invited for a job and responded a little bit late, will the chat be the recent for the client?

    • @FreelanceFamilyMan
      @FreelanceFamilyMan  9 месяцев назад +1

      Yes once you respond it'll push that chat with them to the top of their feed regardless of how long you took to respond
