The problem is people are different that's why same pattern won't work for everyone. Many of the people you rejected were top rated on UW. If their proposals aren't interested enough to make clients click on them, how did they achieve top rated ranking in the first place?
I send my proposals in a similar way you're suggesting. I'm sort of new on UW, and have sent 7 proposals in the last month. 4 were viewed, 1 interview, 2 hires. I was surprised when a client didn't hire me after viewing one of my proposals because I had a great sample attached.
I always send concise proposals, however, I guess some clients like long proposals where a freelancer talks too mucb about their experiences

Please, let's bear in mind that many people have learned English as a second language and may not have had the same exposure to it as native speakers. It's important not to judge their skills based on this. The fact that they are top-rated on Upwork is proof that they are providing quality service. Clients wouldn't give them a 5-star rating if they didn't enjoy their work. Mastering a language takes time, especially to the level required for writing professional proposals. Let's appreciate their efforts and skills.
    slow down on that.

This is very helpful. Thank you! What can you do when you're a new freelancer who doesn't have previous work experience to show as proof of what you can do? I'm a newly certified proofreader and I have the skill but only my training essays to prove that I can do what I say. Do you have any advice?

You don't have to use paid gig examples to prove your skills. You can use training essays, writings you did for yourself or practice, it doesn't matter as long as it's demonstrating your writing/proofreading skills

Olena's proposal may be taken from someone else.
"This way, you will make sure that I'm the GUY who can match your expectations."

exactly, and the ending looks similar to one of the previous ones. "PS" and "let's jump on a call" looked almost like a template.
      that's weird.

Can you please help me? I provide social media management and marketing services on Upwork. While management and marketing are distinct, they do overlap. In management, I handle business social media accounts, create content, and make posts. In marketing, I run ads on Facebook and Instagram. My question is, how can I write a description for this on Upwork? I have created a specialized profile for it. Can you kindly help me with the structure?

Great question, not easy to answer in a quick response though. I could help you with this directly if you join the freelance family man membership program because in the first month, we work on your profile and description to position you properly: freelancefamilyman.com/membership
      Hope to see you there!
