I would also say Clamp for LOD Bias since you will probably always be using anisotropic filtering. And if you don't have GSync and instead enable VSYNC then turn on triple buffering.
The anti-aliasing setting is greyed out because the anti-aliasing mode is application controlled, you can enhance or override older games and some newer ones to add anti aliasing where there is no option in game. Works great with Mass Effect for example.
One thing I don't know is if you should enable multisampling AA and supersampling AA or just one or the other. Nvidia descriptions are vague but I always thought supersampling was better than multisampling and can't see why you'd be allowed to enable both...

Only thing I do not suggest is high performance mode. All that this does is make your gpu run at max clock speed all the time, even on the desktop. Not worth the extra power consumption for sure. It will still give the same performance in games though.

I wanna say, you actually do NOT need the GPU performance counters enabled, that's simply used for in depth benchmarking if you're a developer. And PhysX has nothing to do with graphics, it's a compute-based physics API that some games use

Do not use preferred max performance on power management mode, that will have your GPU running at max performance even when you're not doing anything and it is sitting idle on the desktop. This will wore out your GPU faster. You want normal power management so your gpu will only use the necessary power for what it needs.

8:00 “there’s no purpose for it” well, maybe for you there isn’t but it wouldn’t be a setting if there was no purpose. I use scaling because I play on a 34” ultra wide at 144hz. However, for competitive shooters like Warzone I like to set the game to 16:9 2560x1440 as I feel it’s better for competitive play. That’s where GPU scaling comes in handy. In my testing there’s been 0 frame rate impact. Running a 3080ti FTW3 Hydro Copper. Also in your G-Sync settings you don’t actually have it enabled. Check step 3.

One lil mistake, if you put aspect ration you want the Perform Scaling on option to be set to Display and not the GPU. The reason for that is that a select few monitors actually give the :On Display: option therefore you free more horsepower from the GPU and the overal system input delay drops a significant ammount becoming even more responsive, measured in .ms by the GOAT of Gaming Optimaziations "freethy".

It depends on your display. Your monitor (or tv) is probably only 60Hz which mean V sync will cap the FPS at 60fps. Which is the best choice since 60Hz doesn’t capture high FPS very well. For me my monitor is 165Hz so my V sync will cap it at 165fps

This has to be the worst settings guide I've ever seen... You're suggesting people turn off settings like ambient occlusion and telling them to "trust you" without even explaining what it is in game. If you showed examples of half these setting before/after modifications people would notice they don't want to turn them off cause their games will look like trash without em. Not to mention you think physX (the hardware physics module on the gpu) is someone affecting your video editing software lol.

December? That's 9 months away! Why not get what you can enjoy now? There are always gonna be new hardware releases. That's the nature of the PC ecosystem and being on the bleeding edge of technology. If something faster or more powerful does come out you can always sell the 3090 and upgrade as well, but I seriously doubt that will happen anytime soon. They are making a killing on those! Nvidia will keep pushing GA102s into 90 series and eventually 80ti's until they saturate the market or the mining bubble bursts. The later may happen when Ethereum forks but that's still ~4 months away so if you wanna game (and mine while the getting is still good!) pull the trigger man!!

I highly doubt these settings are your issue bud . My self and hundreds of other nvidia users are using these exact settings. I would read some forums , or search for videos to trouble shoot your issue, I hope you get it sorted out man.

@@Aeondrifter I use these exact settings for the most part, except low latency mode on ULTRA. Ultra is absolutely terrible with most games. Besides that, I'm almost certain none of his settings would affect your pc the way you described.

How many fps are you getting in warzone with your 3080? Can you do a video on settings in warzone for best performance and fps?

Bro.. its always gonna be vsync on in global, vsync off in game app (you can separate in nvcp).. gsync on.. and then all high for quality, all low for FPS.. and you want to get your FPS to stay solid on your monitors refresh rate. And if you play apex legends it’s super important to have gsync and 190 FPS capped thru rtss

Anyone know why when I try to install the rtx 3080 drivers it says “This NVIDIA graphics driver is not compatible with this version of windows.” And also “This Graphics driver could not find compatible graphics hardware.” Even tho I have windows 10 updated already and downloaded the correct one?

Man thats a huge performance increase for my 3080. God of war in the open world doesn't lose frames now and Overwatch is smooth as a babies asshole.
The only thing I'd say to do is never download the geforce experience. Downloads other apps which run in the background that uses cpu and ram.
    Great video man

Thanks for doing a video on this. I upgraded to a 3080 a few months back and a fresh driver install helped me clear up some residual issues. I actually used DDU tool to completely start from scratch. I would crash during mining (sometimes in 10 minutes other times 4 hours) even with power optimized settings and cleaning old drivers and starting fresh fixed it.

My pleasure. Sounds like a fresh install cleared up your issues. Yeah that’s got to be frustrating, crashing while mining ⛏

The best setting to change would be to throw the Aurora PC in the trash.
