I own a 2007 Lexus is350!!! Original owner, fully loaded with only 83k miles!! BEST car I have ever had. Looks brand new inside and out! I still absolutely love my car, runs like a top!♡
The Lexus IS350 is definitely a low-key, best bang for your buck sports sedan...will definitely be considering one if I ever get tired of my 1st gen IS300 SportX!
Beautiful car but per the title of the video, I think you should have included - here are the only repairs I've HAD to do(while it was cool that you covered all of your BA mods). Here is the cost of the repairs, here are the future repairs Ill probably have to do, etc etc. Maybe talk about if you had a 3 series, c class, or cts - what expensive repairs they would have had to do to get to 166k that you didnt have to do

The IS350 is the absolute best used car you can get on planet earth right now for around $10,000. Nothing beats it in terms of performance, luxury, build quality and reliability. I have IS250 2007 for a year now and it's pretty reliable and amazing to drive. I installed a conversion bumper, headlights and tailights and the car looks like it came out the last couple of years. It's amazing how 2IS designs are so timeless. It doesn't look like a car that came out 17 years ago.
bet my corvairs are more reliable as in 45 years only had one stop..i should have never changed the fuel pump on my 66 monza but 180.000 miles well i did,,,got a junk airtex thank god they fixed the new ones now
When you buy an used Lexus, you spend another $5K to modify it (rims; performance tyres; upgraded shocks; beefier brakes; ecu remap; sport exhaust; etc) When you buy an used BMW, you spend another $5K to make it run well as factory stock. Lmao 🤣
@@BennyJackson101 tranny needs a fluid chance no leaks so I'm crossing my fingers, door actuators need to be fixed, key fob doesnt lock the car, I replaced the window actuator cause the window wouldnt roll up! the radio for FM music doesnt work, evap problem so it cant pass smog in California, other than that its fine I feel like its gonna need something else soon but i just dont know with these bmws
I owned a 2007 Lexus is250. The car is a beat in the snow with snow tires and drove it over 2 feet of snow always challenging it. Smooth ride with an amazing power to weight ratio plus it is very well balanced.
This is crazy, I asked scotty during his live video about this car and here he is with this video. Lol yooo. Marty you know what you’re talking about. Thank you scotty.
I've got an IS350 and it's been great...it's at 195k miles and still has the original dash and door panels in great shape. My first IS and certainly won't be my last
Hahaaa for real, I see them crying and moaning in the comments of why their piece of garbage Chrysler or GM doesn’t get included in the videos, simple they are junk.
AOMechMarine AOMechMarine I’d have to disagree with you there. My personal choice(that I’ve also owned) would be the Infiniti G37, mainly because it’s reliable and cheap yet offers a lot of performance and aftermarket as well. However both the G and IS350 aimed at the Germans and offered not only luxury and reliability, but great handling and great power. The TSX and TL are decent, but are fwd or awd and don’t offer anywhere near the same straight line performance as the G37/IS350. The TL also has an ugly beak, but that’s neither here nor there. The Lexus ES is basically a tatted up Camry, offering nothing other than reliable and comfortable ownership. The GS is better than ES due to RWD but still not a great performer for the 3rd gen(since we’re naming cars of the same time period). As far as a single guy, I’m married with a dog and daily drive a Lexus ISF, basically the much more hopped up version of the IS350 and owned the G37S coupe and sedan before. All of them offer more than enough space for a couple with a kid or a dog. Yes, the IS backseat is small, but workable. The IS350 is a great value for the 5 sec flat, mid13 quarter performance. Those were very nearly C5 numbers in 2005 test still quick in 2019. All of the cars you and I have named are reliable, but even as a G lover I’d have to say the IS350 is more reliable and the blend of reliability, sporty handling, luxury touches, and straight line performance for the small cost can’t be denied.
My 2010 Prius intake manifold needed to be replaced last year due to sludge buildup from the EGR system. Cost over $1000 and it was still cheaper than cleaning.
Know of a Lexus (Es I guess, around mid 1990's model) that hasn't even been serviced for about 10 years. It still ran but when it was borrowed, the borrower took it to the dealer and the dealer found that the car was out of alignment and many other problems. But the thing seemed to keep on running. ( Not suggesting anyone to not service their car)
They are reliable but not when it comes to the timing belt and water pump. The es350 is more reliable since it has the chain and better injection system.
I think a requirement for a luxury car is that it runs as long as you want to keep it, and runs that way just same as it did the day it rolled off the factory floor.
It’s a great car ...I bought mine new in 2006 and have 200k miles on it! I have only replaced a alternator, valve cover seals, plugs and numerous break calipers. Paint is holding up and no rattles...only complaint is the wheels are chipping the coating
Man I drove an IS 350 a couple times as a loaner from about this year. Super comfortable, very nice interior, and the engine was smooth and pulled real nice, especially on the highway. Styling has aged well. On a side note, this was a loaner from the dealership my ex bought her 2008 Lexus Rx 350 from, which I'm sorry to say Scotty, proved to be somewhat of a dog. We brought it in for repair numerous times for major issues that were luckily still under warranty. We drove to her parents house one morning and smelled oil coming from the car. When we arrived at her parents house we found her car was leaking heavily from the front of the engine. It had to be towed to the dealership and we didn't see it again for a month or so. I can't remember what the problem was, this was a while back, but the car has less than 20k miles at the time. Also, her car had a problem with a sensor malfunction that needed repair. Lexus is usually solid so to have these issues with a vehicle like that was shocking and disappointing to say the least.
I was a tech at a Lexus dealer in Tucson AZ from 2006-2008. We did see ONE awd IS250 with a manual transmission. I wonder how many of those were made world wide...
We never got the AWD version here in the UK. Only the IS250 manual or auto. The IS220D in manual (and I guess auto but I have never seen one). The IS350 was never officially imported.
@@nickmoore385 But we did get the previous model IS300 although not in large quantities. Same as we never got the first generation GS400 the "wicked Lexus".
I was going to buy a used BMW 520d as my toy/weekend car. But thanks to Scotty, I changed my mind and will buy a Lexus IS350 instead. Their price is the same so it's a big win!
Just got one a month ago 2006 is350 with 193k miles but i was surprised how smooth and strong it runs so i didn't let the mileage bother me, after researching more sounds like it still got more miles to go!
Got my daughter this exact car and it drive like a dream! Quiet as a mouse sitting still and very tight steering. This little Lexus is a small car but hold the road like a full sized sedan. And the sound system is the best factory system I've ever heard!
It was about that time when i realized it was that goddamn lochness monster again. I said damn you lochness monster what do you want? And the monster bent down and said.. I need about 3 fiddy
I just bought this exact car about a month ago with 209,000 miles. I spent some time with it upon purchase then took it to my local Toyota Lexus dealership for a full diagnostic and walkthrough and it turned out great just needed carbon cleaning and regular maintenance such as rotors turn, tires, alignment, was selling for 6k purchased for $4500 put 1500 into it most expensive part was tires. Runs amazing doesn’t smoke or make noises. If I had known about this car And all it’s features/reliability and I would’ve never bought any other car. This used 07 Lexus is350 has more features than a lot of the new cars to day and for 5th of the price.
How did it hold up? Thinking about getting one with 140k miles on it. Worried about how long it’ll last but many people say to go for it. The owner says it’s been kept up on maintenance and looks flawless. Let me know. Thanks.
I have 2 friends who bought these new and both had pretty big issues under 50,000 miles. Fuel pump issue that caused the cabin to smell of fuel, driveshaft breaking, electronic problems, etc. Glad to see Lexus eventually sorted them out! Nice car!
I traded my 2006 IS 350 for a 2015 IS 350 F-Sport AWD. My 2006 went over 140K with only maintenance expenses, brakes, tires, oil, filters plugs. Great, fun cars!
@Chaminda Thushara Ruwan Kasturi I will say BMW have some nice looking cars though. My friend had to replace an Alternator, after seeing the price of, just the part, he sold the BMW.
Thanks scotty!!!!!!!! My wife said them cars are not reliable. I've told her they are very good and resale value. Now I can have your word backing me up. She has agreed to let me get one lol
Which one do you have? It's kind of like a daily-driver dream car for me rn. I'm getting by with an '00 TL for now, which ngl is good enough for me atm
Syed Mohammed Ali Muddassir Quadri I have an 08 rwd kinda base model no navigation screen but has optional 5 spoke wheels and illuminated door sills. I also take better care of the car than myself lol always detailing it and do trans, diff, spark plug changes every 35k, always buffing and waxing the paint, so I take damn good care of it cuz I love it so much but I am trying to sell it to buy an es330 and an ls430 so if anyone wants to buy it I would like to sell it.
Droner Flys 350, and I’m in Wisconsin. I can also provide all the other work I’ve had done on it (nothing ever broke on the car I just wanted to take good care of it) Kind of far from you but the car is originally from Texas and it ended up here 🤷♂️
Droner Flys I would also like to mention I am a detailer at the Lexus dealer in Appleton where I am able to keep the cars interior and paint in mint condition, and I know 3 of the mechanics pretty well there so any time my car would make a rattle or any kind of noise I would tell them and we would look it over.
I was, specifically, looking for one of *these.* I knew all about these, and how much of a good deal they are, in a *lot* of ways. Now everyone will, it may be even harder to find one... 😔
Nah, there are plenty out there. Not nearly as common as the 250 which I got a few weeks ago, but they're to be found, for sure. Just know that because of the low profile tires, the ride doesn't feel anything like the larger Lexus vehicles, and it will be more prone to some rattles. You have to be careful about potholes, too. One last thing; mine is a 2011 and has Michelin Pilot Sport AS/3 tires, and being that they're a bit worn, they're noisy as hell. If you really hate road noise, be aware of the tires your used Lex comes with, and if they will get louder with age, because the Michelin Pilot Sports definitely will.
@@naywahn if you're willing to travel if necessary, I'm sure you can find what you want. I originally was searching for an LS or GS 460, but couldn't find one I liked for the price. But if you really want an IS, don't get discouraged; just know what you're getting into. Best of luck.
I have a 2016 350 F and I love it for my second car. Good gas mileage, reliable, nice power, and comfort. Paid 33k for the car 2 years ago, and I’m sure I could still get almost 30k Easy.
I've owned all of these so called luxury cars, infinitis, BMWs, Mercedes, trust me none of them can beat the Lexus is350 in it's class, I've had a Lexus is350 bought it at 95k miles, drove it for a year and sold it in about 155k miles, it didn't give me any issues until the end which was the fuel pressure sensor, the car wouldn't crank, it wouldn't start, it was in "safety mode" which made me feel in love with it even more because if it was any other car I would've had to replace the whole engine instead of just the fuel pressure sensor, other than that I've done my maintenance regularly, no issues compared to the way I drive which is really bad no car had been tough enough to stand it, other than the is350 miss my devil so much 💯, I currently own a g37S 2013, it's a lovely car but I would still choose the Lexus is350 anyday over it, and over any other car in it's class, it's time for me to get an IS-F!!!
@@Samy-fk5tg Depending on the condition it's a good car, long run it would beat the Lexus is350 speed wise, it has more space, like every other car it has it's own pros and cons but Idk if it's just me I would still chose a Lexus is350 over it anyday!!
That's right Scotty!!! I had a Lexus IS 14' and now I have a Lexus RC 16' never had problems with neither one, they look very nice and very reliable!!! I love your videos!!! keep up the good work 👌👑🔥🤜
I have an 06 Lexus IS350 , I’ve loved the car since I got it. I mean what’s not to love, great power (306hp) (277 ft lbs) (3500lbs) , very luxurious and amazing handling. The only problems I’ve had with the IS350 is that the interior soft touch paneling will deteriorate ( they have a recall and will replace and interior panels.) also the transmission rear main seal had to be replaced since it was leaking at around 150,000 miles. $500-$1300 job depending on where you go. Other than that the engine pulls like no other V6 I’ve been in, feels like a V8. I’ve raced and won against plenty of N/A V6 & V8s along with twin turbo 335is.
At work I drive a 2019 Rav4 that just hit 300k. The company will do what's needed like oil changes and tire repair or replacement, but that's about it. I have owned 5 Toyotas over the years and would love to get a Lexus! For me reliably is the name of the game.
Best car I've owned was a 1983 ford LTD 2 with the Thrift power I6 just did general Maint. No repairs to speak of and when I got rid of it the car hand 230 thousand miles and ran great.
@@jerryl10000 haha I have a 07 with 75k miles. Love it have alot of subtle upgrades but not riced out. Have the Lexus door projectors. Limo tint all around. Vland headlights Vland Tailights duckbill spoiler but not the huge one that goes down the backside of the trunk. And have a fsport carbon fiber shifter. Also have about $4k in audio I carried over from my Navigator. Cars dope. Pretty slow but still a fun little car I love it except that melting dashboard is getting me worried.
I had a 2008 Lexus IS 350 I bought it really cheap put 20’s on it lowered it put 150,000 miles on it. In 2012 Lexus paid to replace my dash and all of my door panels. I had to put a water pump in it $800. But that’s it. Tires, batteries and brake pads. That’s it! I sold it at 250k miles. Traded it in for a bmw M4. The maintenance on this car is ridiculous as it is my daily driver. BMW service is TERRIBLE compared to Lexus. I never receive a loaner. Lexus always gave me a loaner car even for oil changes. As pretty as my BMW is. As soon as it’s paid off. I will be getting another Lexus. This time a GSF! The price to maintain a Lexus IS nothing. The cost of maintenance brakes, and oil changes are the same as my Honda Accord cost when had my Honda.
MLGiNightMare I have in is350 f sport. What a wonderful car. The customer service and it’s so reliable. It’s a 2015 that I have slightly modded. I have put 198k HARD miles on it and it’s never given me a problem. I had a 2009 prior to that I put 300k miles on it. The dash started chipping and so the did the doors. The estimate for the dash was 2k the doors 6k installed. Lexus covered all of it and a new battery at 125k miles 3 years after the warranty. After the did the work I traded it for my 2015.
I have one with 360000 kms same model never did any maintenance or mods or changed any thing didnt even do an oil change i just top it up once a month and it still runs perfectly fine It never broke down.
I Love the IS 350 and thats why i bought one Last Year. I live in Germany, here is the IS XE2 350 a rly Rare Car, because they never Sell this Car here.
A lot of Lexus drivers like to keep their cars for years instead of upgrading. Toyota is fr just like that. People May hate on their interiors but imo they age really well. My gs350 is fully loaded and the only thing I’m missing is apple car play. But I have more tech than a lot of fully loaded luxary cars today and it’s a 2015!
Google "is350 oil consumption"...turned me off for good. I almost bought a super clean 80k mile example until I found the service history from the Lexus dealer showing it was brought in for oil consumption worries and tested.
I'm a big Lexus fan, but this 350 is just gorgeous. Never could believe it's an 07. Wow, the electronics function so well....can't say that about a BMW, MERC, AUDI> Great find.
@@Pube83 sorry, I don't get your point. You asked me if my car has oil consumption issue, I said no, so why the heck I need to Google a nonexistent problem of my car?
2008 Is 250s are direct injection and have carbonized valves issues. Both 250 and 350 have door panels and dash that melt when in hotter climates, the is350 has direct and port injection so it doesn't have the carbonized valves issue that the is250 has due to the port injection spraying the back of the valves, both 250/350 have fuel line tsbs, another thing to consider is the alternator pulley is a decoupler style that is spring loaded and can explode. If not replaced on time, unlike the old solid steel pulleys, they made the decoupler style to help with vibration, but it decreases reliability. The car is small not much room in the back seat and the rear seats do not fold down, other than that, if taken care of and properly maintainrnced, the is250 can be a very reliable sporty versatile car.
My Gf got this car and had for 3 years. Its super reliable. Only problems she had was a starter issue and touch screen stop working. But its not better than my g37 😁
As an owner of a 2006 IS350 which i got brand new and still have, it was probably the worst Lexus that came out at the time. i had more service recalls for that car than i did for my 1996 Chevy Tahoe, Not to mention the rotting issues with the Dash and side panels. But one thing i'll give Lexus credit for; is they stand by their Name. My car was out of waranty and they still replaced the rotting dash and panels. I will purchase another one, if i'm ever able to afford one again :).
Google "is350 oil consumption"...turned me off for good. I almost bought a super clean 80k mile example until I found the service history from the Lexus dealer showing it was brought in for oil consumption worries and tested.
My 2007 Lexus is 350 has an issue of all my dang engine traction lights etc are on I spent a thousand bucks on repairs but still have issue. Replaced gas cap all lights went out for a week until I had to get gas again now back on. Any ideals
1997 ES 300 owner here. Now I know what an IS model is. As my car approaches its fourth decade, I am going to have to start thinking of upgrades as all the cosmetic pieces, like seats, wear out. So far, only the cup holders are broken. I just love the classic stock ES.
@Scotty, With your recommendation I bought a 2015 Lexus IS 350 F Sport. Have been having it for 6 months and have faced 3 issues already as follows. 1 - Mass Air Flow sensor issue. Had to cleanup including the manifold for the warning to go off. 2- Suddenly started to throw out thick white smoke and was misfirering. Had to clean all and replace one injector. 3 - The AC cannot be controlled. I slightly increased the temperature and it kept throwing out HOT AIR ONLY. The issue was with its Actuators. So… Honestly, I doubt your statement of this Lexus being the best and most reliable car ???
I own a 2010 IS350 and its the best car I've ever owned and I've owned a lot of cars (over 47 cars in 30 years) mostly Toyotas and now ONLY Toyotas (and Lexus). The IS350 is fast, smooth and dead reliable with 96K miles and counting. It's a bit of a guzzler but for a car that can hit 60 in ~5 secs, 21mpg in traffic aint that bad! back seat is small but dont really use it that much. Will never sell or trade in. Looking for the next ISF as my next new purchase. Have an old 74 Celica I am restomodding now.
Grabbed one today with just under 60k mi. Pretty nice considering is almost 10 years old already. Doesn't ride as nicely as my previous MB C450, but I gotta say you can't beat the reliability. I think I'm gonna put a set of springs on it to improve dynamics and see what happens.
If only there was as many IS350 as there are 250AWD on the market... And I wish the 350 was also AWD. The 250 is however a great car and I keep mine in Sports mode at all times.
@@lordgriselbrand4600 Nice. On my end I did a 3IS conversion with the front bumper as well as VLAND headlights and 3M carbon fibre wrap. Car has 203,000 km and still drives like new. Also added a touchscreen console to replace the old radio. This car can evolve well although not much can be done with the powertrain options.

Ive tried searching for this car, and literally nobody is willing to give up this reliable beauty.

My grandpa owned a Lexus IS350 it was his favorite car of all time. Rest in Toyota Heaven gramps. ❤
I've got an IS350 and it's been great...it's at 195k miles and still has the original dash and door panels in great shape. My first IS and certainly won't be my last
Buying a used 2016 350 this week. I guess I'll turn down the extended warranty then.

Wow 3 dislikes already? People must hate that Toyota is reliable lol
Hahaaa for real, I see them crying and moaning in the comments of why their piece of garbage Chrysler or GM doesn’t get included in the videos, simple they are junk.
GM , Ford , and Chrysler ?
apparently so lol
Durahan82 They need to be disliking Chrysler LOL
Yes, Toyota/Lexus vehicles are designed to keep oil sludge out of its engine compartment and that is EXTREMELY important.
I never considered my wife to be oil sludge but if that what takes i'm for it
My 2010 Prius intake manifold needed to be replaced last year due to sludge buildup from the EGR system. Cost over $1000 and it was still cheaper than cleaning.
Or was it vapor recovery. Or both. Can't remember exactly.
Toyota/Lexus ported and direct injection is great! x2 on every cylinder but very efficient
I have the 250 and it still has the carbon buildup issues, need 350 or up I think for the port injection :(
I thought Scotty's wife es Lexus was the most reliable luxury car?
Know of a Lexus (Es I guess, around mid 1990's model) that hasn't even been serviced for about 10 years. It still ran but when it was borrowed, the borrower took it to the dealer and the dealer found that the car was out of alignment and many other problems. But the thing seemed to keep on running. ( Not suggesting anyone to not service their car)
They are reliable but not when it comes to the timing belt and water pump. The es350 is more reliable since it has the chain and better injection system.
Ls400
The Lexus IS350 is RWD not FWD. RWD cars are more fun to drive than the FWD ones.
I read somewhere ES has poor sales compared to other models
I think a requirement for a luxury car is that it runs as long as you want to keep it, and runs that way just same as it did the day it rolled off the factory floor.
UNBELIEVABLE !!!!! 😲😲😲

It’s a great car ...I bought mine new in 2006 and have 200k miles on it! I have only replaced a alternator, valve cover seals, plugs and numerous break calipers. Paint is holding up and no rattles...only complaint is the wheels are chipping the coating
Dang. U got your money worth!!!! Congrats!
8 out of 10 cars are going to be good your just the unlucky one that got the bad batch
Marty and Scotty teaming up, nice work guys. IS350's are brilliant cars!

I'm surprised the 350 needed a carbon cleaning.
Nice car!
Which years did they buy?
2007 & 2008. Hopefully Lexus resolved the problems in later years.

Bought mine 2 years ago

Nice to see Marty’s Lexus here, I’ve just started watching his channel a few months ago.
I don’t think they’re available in uk trying ti find one haha
At work I drive a 2019 Rav4 that just hit 300k. The company will do what's needed like oil changes and tire repair or replacement, but that's about it. I have owned 5 Toyotas over the years and would love to get a Lexus! For me reliably is the name of the game.

Because you stated it only refers to the GS 300...but a search shows otherwise.
Looks excellent and still really stylish for 2007 car. Especially for a Lexus

My Gf got this car and had for 3 years. Its super reliable. Only problems she had was a starter issue and touch screen stop working. But its not better than my g37 😁
In southern california we ride Lexus homeboy. Females regard Lexus as pure class.

The IS350 is fast, smooth and dead reliable with 96K miles and counting. I would've bought the Lexus IS350 if the rear seats folded down! I loved these cars. They pulled really nice
If only there was as many IS350 as there are 250AWD on the market... And I wish the 350 was also AWD. The 250 is however a great car and I keep mine in Sports mode at all times.
just bought a is350 awd f-sport, they are out there!
@@lordgriselbrand4600 Nice. On my end I did a 3IS conversion with the front bumper as well as VLAND headlights and 3M carbon fibre wrap. Car has 203,000 km and still drives like new. Also added a touchscreen console to replace the old radio. This car can evolve well although not much can be done with the powertrain options.
this guy knows his car! i love it!!
Hands down: the best Automotive Channel on RUclips. Cool car as well. 😉
Car looks awesome ! Nice video!
Hopefully I get financed this week .It has high miles but I checked out the car fax
This video is the reason why i have a 2012 lexus is350

Anything Lexus is a win
