I had this problem on my 2009 C200 saloon. The error codes were pointing the the right rear sensor even though the sensor itself was still working when I checked the live data on my scantool. I fitted a new sensor (sourced from a local motor factor which was cheaper than Euro) but it didn't fix the problem. I fitted a new ABS pickup ring (sourced from the same motor factor as the sensor) and it has fixed the problem. The old pickup ring had delaminated. Most of the time it IS the sensor that is the problem.
As you say on occasion it can be the pick up ring, fortunately for me it was simply the sensors which have been working great ever since this video creation.... all the best... mrix

Hey, I have the same problem, this video is amazing, thank you. I replaced the front right sensor thanks to your help with a OEM part. I cleared the error code and this worked for approx. 15 miles then came back. OBD scan showed the other front left sensor now, and after another scan showed it back to the right sensor again. Any thoughts would be appreciated, considering changing out both sensors anyway or wondering if I’m overlooking the root cause. Thanks.

I also had the same issue where it showed the other sensor was faulty but when I ended up replacing both they have been fine ever since with no issues..... hope its the same for you... what OBD scanner are you using ? if its a really cheap one that also could be the issue ?... just a thought....mrix
Thanks for the video, quick question, was this a intermittent issue? I ask because mine get the errors when hot, after the car is cold I can drive normal.
Hi, for me it was permanent issue as the sensors were faulty, it does not seem to be the same issue with you, I cannot see it being the sensors as they would not stop and then start functioning ?
Hi Davey, as explained in the video firstly I was told by our UK breakdown service called the AA, they initially explained which one it was, when I finally got around to fixing the issue I decided to purchase a diagnostic tool myself but by that time the driver side had also gone faulty.... mrix
I changed mine on a e class 250 driver rear. no lights on dash when started and then running but traction control would almost put can in limp mode once u press the throttle to go and any normal speed like the car thought it was wheel spinning so had to change it back the the one that came out and was fine and back to normal but now get the warning lights ever now and then
Hi what error code did you have? Did it specify the bad speed sensor location? I had P0503 error code. I could not figure out which one is impacted. Thanks,
Hello I cannot remember the specific error code as on my diagnostic device it simply explained initially it was the left side sensor and towards the end when I decided to get it fixed showed both sides sensors required replacing, obviously you can see the errors it throws up on the instrument panel, the cruise control will also stop working... best regards...mrix
I have all of the same warning lights on plus a check engine light. Did your car show any other codes besides the wheel speed sensor? Trying to diagnose my car now and I’ve seen so far it can be wheel speed sensors or steering position sensor
